This is the second time we have stayed here. This is a great park with views of the Mississippi River. The river walk in front of the park is a great place to walk. We will stay here anytime we are in this area.
We called ahead for a site, but when we got there, the site reserved for us was not available. We were given a back in site that was barely long enough. The electric and water hook-ups were on the wrong side of our RV and way too far back. We could not reach the water tap without adding another hose. The WiFi didn't work at all. The interior streets are way too narrow as were the sites. We will avoid this park in the future.
The staff was very friendly which made our stay pleasant. The sites could be a little more level, but they are OK. It is a convent location not too far off the freeway. We ate at the Mustang Grill on site and the food was very good. The rate is based on Passport America.
A good choice if you want to see New Orleans. The shuttle is an easy way to get downtown without the hassle of driving. The staff is friendly and helpful and the sites are long and level. I would rate it a ten if the road into the park wasn't so full of potholes.
We made our reservations late in the winter of 2013 for the winter of 2013-2014. When we checked in we were told the rent had gone up and would be $10 a month more than the agreed price. I guess we expect people to keep their word. Also the Wi-Fi was the worst we have ever had. It seemed the laundry was small for the size of the park during the busy winter months. The seasonal campers that have been returning to the park for years are very cliquish and not very welcoming. We were not impressed.
