All previous positive comments are still valid. However, RV'ers should be aware that Red Deer City Council has changed the fee structure so that there is no monthly or weekly rate this year. This means that there is only a daily rate of $33 which equates to $231/Wk and $990/mo (i.e. 30 days). While this is a well appointed RV park and the staff seem very nice, this rate seems way over the line given that there is no Wi-Fi Internet.

We were located in the overnight parking area - no trees, etc., but all services worked well. However, we had to buy temporary Internet access service - might have been $14 for a week from Jabba Communications. The park is located outside the west edge of Yuma proper but there are several stores available locally there. The border crossing to Algodones Mexico is well east of Yuma a few miles inside the California border. Despite being situated in an open gravel area, all park services were close by and available to us as overnights. Very good staff assistance.

Excellent staff assistance - even led us to our site following their golf cart! Located near the Colorado River but difficult to get a riverside site if you're not a member of the system. All services worked well.

Off a city street, go slowly or you might miss it and have to make a U-turn. Sites just big enough for the 38' to back into with room for the car. Nice and quiet. Minimal dealing with staff but they were very helpful. All services worked well including Wi-Fi but little to no English air TV that we could connect with.

Full hook-ups @ $32/night in off-season. Business hours 9AM-9PM with instructions on office door for late arrivals. On Swan Lake with lots of weeping willows along the water shore. Fairly well paved access road with gravel sites and ours was level although with some rainwater pooling. No pull-through sites, but several back-in sites will accommodate our 38' motorhome. Wi-Fi has good access with some signal drops (we stayed on system 2 or 4 and off system 6). Family owners on site were helpful and easy to speak with - mind you, so were we. Clean dog run area which we kept clean by picking up after our dog. Did not use the toilets/showers/laundry so can't comment. Pool was being winterized but looked to be in good shape. Malls, etc., about 1 km away - restaurant across the highway - tourist info close by.

Arrived after dark on a moonless night deep in the trees and could not see where to bring the motorhome so we were allowed to stay in the driveway. Wonderful help in getting set up for electricity and water. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Nice covered patio area with coffee and tea ready in the morning!

Stayed Aug. 28th - Sep. 15th/2011. Red Deer is a nice small city with nice folks. The Red Deer City Campground is also called the Lions Campground because the Lions contributed to or paid for the renovation of one or both restrooms. The site availability was good because of end of season. The staff are polite and helpful but serious regarding campground rules, and that's a good thing. It features nicely treed RV sites on wide road. Tent sites are cozily nestled in heavily treed area on narrow road. The RV sites are paved and mostly level. There is a large overflow area ok to store trailer temporarily. There are no pull-through RV sites. There s no wi-fi but it is available a 1/2 mile north on 49 Avenue at the Parkland Mall in front of Safeway or at Tim Horton's coffee shop a bit further north. All services worked well (power/water/sewer). There are lots of stores/shops/banks/auto mechanics/fuel in the area. We picked up after our pet; please pick up after yours.
