This was a nice KOA. There was a very efficient and friendly office staff at check-in who were easily able to access my KOA rewards. We were quickly escorted to our back-in, full hookup spa site and shown our hot tub controls. The pad was concrete, level, and clean, with a nice paved patio. Electric fine, checked by my surge protector, voltage was steady. Cable fine but only about 12 non HD channels. Water clean but a tad low pressure. The free Wi-Fi worked haltingly. The campground was very quiet and well managed (no wild parties here). I enjoyed the 3/5 mile path around the private lake even though there was a lot of algae in it. The trash at the end of the rows got a bit full by the end of the Labor Day weekend. The pool was clean but cold and my daughter didn’t want to stay long. The women’s bath was clean but there was only one shower in the unit I visited. The men’s bath was clean except one toilet was totally plugged with TP on Labor Day. The kids’ amusements in general are abundant but most (like the minigolf and bouncy pillow) are rather expensively ala carte or extra overall pass. Do bring lots of mosquito spray: they were plentiful even away from the lake and especially at twilight. The hot tub was very pleasant and seemed clean except the cover smelled of mildew. I knew the price right up front when we splurged for the deluxe spa site with the hot tub: but now question my judgment a bit in the value for price, being about $30/night more than a regular site. My price included 2 kids and 2 dogs, my KOA discount and my cash-in of $10 in KOA Kamper Points. We will probably return at some point although not to the most expensive site.

Not the best signage and watch out for sudden exit by dip in road - see brake and scrape marks on road. That said, we enjoyed our stay very much. We were escorted to our very clean gravel pull-through site by very pleasant staff. We did need some blocks to level. Very nice store. Park was quiet, clean, and secure. We loved the lightning bugs, beautiful landscaping, and the super clean restrooms with the best shower drain/trough system I've ever seen to keep all hair etc flowing away from you. Nice pool. Enjoyed the pet park with a couple pieces of dog agility equipment and supplied poop bags. Free Wi-Fi. Pancake breakfast service very slow. Price seems a bit high, incl our KOA discount and additional charge of $3/child/day. We would probably stay again.

We were escorted to our site. Nice desk staff and store. They were using a backup computer system due to a big storm the day before, which still found our reservation. There must have been OK drainage since our mostly dirt/grass pull-through site was only damp despite the reported flooding the day before. We needed several blocks to level. Mature trees. Decent mowed dog walk area but under buzzing high power lines. Free Wi-Fi. Free movie and popcorn for kids that Father's Day weekend. Didn't try the TV. Pool for our 12 yr old would have required parent supervision, our 16 yr old was not allowed to watch the 12 yr old. Did not appreciate the antiquated headless shower with push-knob control which kept turning off and offered no temperature control. Was farther than we wished off I-39 when we were avoiding the toll road. Rather pricey even with KOA discount, included $4/child/day additional charge. Might stay again but would look around.

Driveway entry a bit narrow with a dip in it. Great efficient, friendly, and helpful desk staff provided us a map to our site and later, a map to other areas in Lincoln with easiest routes marked. Very nice park with good landscaping, lots of mature trees. Seemed quiet, clean, and secure. Nice kid’s playground, and we appreciated the nice dog walking areas including a place where you can turn the dogs loose safely off leash. Road noise from I-180 quite perceptible. Free Wi-Fi. Didn’t get to use pool and small hot tube due to lateness but looked nice. My one gripe was our full hook-up back-in site was marred by stupid placement of the sewer at the front of the site by the cab. We didn’t hook up to dump until the morning as we were pulling out since we didn’t want to have crossing sewer, water, and electric lines. We would definitely stay again if we can have a site with better sewer hookup.

Very accommodating to our late after-hours arrival, very pleasant lady on phone. A clearly marked map was supplied to our level and nicely-kept pull-through site. Large, clean, quiet, and secure park. Nice landscaped grounds, mature trees, with mowed dog lawn walk area complete with poop bags and receptacle. Useful store. Wi-Fi extra $3/day so did not use. Trash pickup at site. Some road noise from I-10. Lovely pool, clean restrooms and showers with lots of hot water. We would stay again.

We were left a clear map to our clean, white-rocked Regal (premium) front-in site on the bay for our after-hours arrival. The white rocks really helped keep the MH clean and cut down on the heat. We used a couple blocks in front to be level. Super friendly and helpful front desk staff even tracked us down to return a camera we had left behind at the nearby pier restaurant (my thanks to Phil). Well-kept grounds and no problems with security. We enjoyed our site’s palm tree, flowering bushes, ocean breeze. Easy to drive to nearby county beach ($4/day permit) for sand and waves (bay side here pretty but not for swimming). Useful store. Good workout facility with treadmills, bikes, free weights, some Nautilus-type equipment. Nice pool. Free Wi-Fi but did not enjoy the Tengo problems. Good water and electric, although watched slightly dipping (never problematic) voltage a couple really hot days. Wished one neighbor would have secured his sewer hookup a little better - loose tippy fitting let some smell out. Free cable TV. Good dog walking areas with poop bags supplied, also a cute exercise area with a couple pieces of dog agility equipment. Trash pickup at site. Super clean restrooms/shower/laundry (4 washers & driers), although on-demand hot water did die one day. We would love to come back. Rate is based on 7 day stay and KOA discount.

There is fairly easy access from US-84. Desk staff is friendly but maybe a little harried. It has a good store. We were given a marked map to our level pull-through site. No problems with water, electric voltage, or sewer. Free WiFi. Kids enjoyed the nice pool. There is a decent mowed dog walk area. There are multiple permanent residents. We didn’t appreciate the cigarette butts found on our site upon arrival. There is a rather dry, dusty, tired feeling to this park. It is OK for over night. It seemed safe, and was quiet except for the very evident road noise. We might stay again but would check around for something nicer if we return to the area. The rate includes our KOA discount, 2 kids, 2 pets.

Easy access from I-25, but watch your exit (closer to CO-NM border/top of pass than to Raton itself). We were escorted to our very clean pull-through gravel site #19. Needed a couple blocks in front to level. Owners/managers extremely pleasant. Beautiful view of mountains, fabulous smelling air. Tons of beautiful hummingbirds. Water very good tasting and good pressure. No problems with steady electric voltage. Dog friendly. Small playground (swing set). Quiet park, no trouble with traffic, but noted some road noise from I-25, not bad. Free good Wi-Fi (need code from office) and cell phone connection (cell tower right up the hill), Kindle worked, too. Didn't try TV. Very nice modern and extremely clean tile bathrooms/showers with lots of hot water. Put grill inside at night due to bear warnings and use the bear proof trash container down the drive. We would stay again.

Our 2nd visit to this nice and peaceful park. We were escorted to our site on the lovely river. Office and all staff were extremely pleasant and customer-oriented. Our back-in full hook-up site was gravel and quite level. Sizeable trees at back of site did not interfere. Entire facility clean and well-maintained, nice landscaping. I see multiple new young trees planted. Restrooms very clean. Nice playground for the kids. Pet-friendly and has fenced dog park. Roads dirt/some gravel, but watered daily to successfully control dust. Fun activities included dog parade, karaoke, Kiwanis pancake breakfast Saturday morning, ice cream social, church service available Sunday morning. No wild parties or clientele here. A couple kids did ride their ATV slowly, but unendingly around and around and around the roads all day long. Appreciated the recycling bins in addition to the trash. Grocery supplies limited at small store. WiFi signal usually ok, bit slow at peak times. Absolutely no Verizon cell phone or Kindle signal. Voltage always stable per our voltage meter. Water pressure got a bit low at check out time. Rate is peak season daily for 2 people, minus 10% AAA discount, plus $1.50/kid under 17/nite. We already have plans to stay here again.

The office check in was efficient. Friendly staff. We were escorted to our site, and given competent aid to back into our riverfront site between very large trees at the head of the site. The many mature trees did provide wonderful shade during our stay. Our site was a little narrow in that next-site-over sewer hookup was under the edge of our awning, but that site was not occupied during our visit. The unoccupied site also seemed to offer access for multiple visits by other campers to walk into the riverfront – a little interruptive of our perceived privacy. The narrow site did delay our use of our sewer hookup on departure since we did not want to gross out our neighbors during their outside breakfast. Some sites to the east seemed wider. The noise of the river water was wonderful and the CG seemed very natural feeling. We had a picnic table and concrete fire ring. The free wireless internet was strong, fast and worked well. My Verizon phone did not find a signal. The cable TV had 20 channels. The bathroom was clean and comfortable, real mirrors not polished steel. 3 bathroom stalls and 3 shower stalls in the men’s. There was a Kiwanis pancake breakfast planned Saturday morning 0730-0930, which I unfortunately could not get my kids up in time for. The younger kids enjoyed the playground and the scavenger hunt. The campground atmosphere was very pleasant. Our rate for full hookup riverfront site includes $1.50/kid/night. We would stay here again.

We utilized the online reservation system, which is a good idea - this easy-going, pleasant but not fancy park is popular with the locals due to its easy access. We found our own way to our numbered site. The host was never in evidence this weekend. Our pull-through site was fairly level, dirt and gravel, electric only, had some shade, a permanent grill and its own picnic shelter with roof. Our site close to the bathroom resulted in a lot of foot traffic by us. There is also a lot of auto traffic as many drive to the bathroom, and sites are quite close to the road, so be prepared for dust and noise. The bathroom facilities are small for the volume of use and therefore run out of toilet paper and are not very clean. No showers. Thank goodness for having our own facilities in the MH. Fresh water only in the frost free taps by the bathroom and a couple other spots in the campground, or at entrance to county park. Most people's dogs are well-behaved, but not the ones tied out in the sun by some tent campers. There is lots of fishing in the stocked lake. Verizon signal very iffy, and we could get one local TV station on our batwing due to the surrounding high hills. Free dump on the way out by the ranger station. Cost is daily site rate plus daily county park pass entrance fee per vehicle. We have camped here before and will again due to the convenience of close location.

This is a very clean, family friendly, and dog friendly resort with lots of owner and work kamper staff presence. Our pull-through, gravel site was level, spacious, clean, and well laid out. The owners were welcoming, always accessible, and helpful. They helped arrange or suggest several trips for horseback riding, hot springs resort, and rafting. The bathrooms/showers by the office and in the just remodeled south facility were sparkling clean any time of day. We really enjoyed the many hummingbirds and the clear starry nights. We ran on a scenic county road behind the park, beside the Heckendorf Wildlife Preserve, with fabulous views of the Collegiate Range. There was a fun Luau night Friday with native Hawaiian dancing and an ice cream social. We also enjoyed the volleyball, horseshoes, and mini golf, and nice playground. The Wi-Fi worked well enough for us to do our email, surfing, and daughter to do extensive online courses; it did slow down inside our MH in the evenings towards weekend. It seemed volume related and was resolved with closer access to office. Verizon signal was weak but worked. We could get a Pueblo TV station on batwing without much effort. There was a small but fun DVD library rental available in office. Our rate was based on a weekly stay. We would stay here again. We camped here in a motorhome.

Friendly office staff and usefully stocked store. We were escorted to our site. The pull-through site was level and easy to access. A staff member volunteered to help us with our sewer hookup. Not much grass and there were trees, but they were mostly small and more for looks than shade. Each site has a picnic table. My daughter enjoyed the playgrounds and ice cream social. There is plenty of room to walk your dog around the park but I wish everybody picked up after their dog like we did. Decent free WiFi but a little slow. We appreciated the campside morning garbage pickup in the supplied trash bag. Close to I-25 and you will hear road traffic and trains. We might stay here again if I wanted to visit more around the Springs or were too tired to make it any further to home.

Nice park with friendly, accommodating, and very helpful staff. Our long, level, pull-through, gravel site had a great paved patio. Fabulous view of the valley and we enjoyed watching the valley lights, beautiful sunsets, and viewed multiple fireworks shows from our rooftop on July 4. Orientation of sites was perfect for shade on entry side during afternoon/hot part of day. Nice jogging trail encircles park, half crushed rock half dirt trail ~0.75 mi/loop. Free Wi-Fi with multiple ports, usually good speed. Clean and up to date spotless bathroom with 4 tiled shower stalls, bathroom stalls, even a salon style hairdryer seat. Dog friendly, but do pick up after your pet and do watch out for the cactus off the trails. Site fenced and seemed secure and peaceful. Active work seen on landscaping, but remember this is a desert, so not lush. Good access to I-25 but no road noise. The closest intersection has no road name posted so get directions. Many big rigs here but other smaller RVs there, too. Outside of Santa Fe proper, not on bus line, you will want a toad or easy to rent a car to get to town. We had seasonal weather, 80s during day, couple Rocky Mountain windy squalls with sprinkles in the afternoons, nothing bad, put awnings in if you leave. We would definitely stay here again.

Fairly attractive park conveniently on edge of town. Office staff very friendly. We had used BookYourSite but something didn’t work correctly, so staff advised that calling directly to make reservations was better. We were given a map and my husband jogged ahead as we found the site ourselves. Our pull-through gravel/dirt site was mostly level but a longer rig (we were 30’) might have had more trouble as the site rose quite a bit from end to end. Picnic table with small crumbling concrete pad. Side by side sites feel a little close but fairly dense vegetation (trees, sage) screens you somewhat from your neighbor. Park quiet and clean. There are sunken trash cans between every 2 sites with daily pickup. Free WiFi with good speed. Our Verizon phones worked well here. It’s approximately a half-mile walk to the bus-stop, but city bus service into town is very inexpensive and handy. Dog-friendly but watch the cactus on some of the paths. The nature trail was very dusty. Bathrooms clean but are a mix of old and new: new solid surface countertops but wooden stools and even wooden drains by showers. Fresh free coffee was in lobby with cookies in at check-in in afternoon and again with fresh donuts in lobby at am checkout. We would stay here again.
