We usually camp here at least once per season. We have a large Class A motorhome and often have guests. We love the close access to the beach area. We generally do not tow and walk to local attractions. Over the years our stays have included weekends for our teenage son and his friends to a birthday celebration over Memorial Day weekend for my 80 year old mother to a trip down to the pier in August 2008 for the Pete and Wayne show. There is something for everyone here at Old Orchard and especially at Paradise Park. The staff is always attentive and the grounds are clean. They do their best to deal with what Mother Nature hands out. That's all part of camping! They often accommodate us on short notice when we call from the southbound Turnpike while heading back home from visiting relatives in the Bethel area. This is a place we will visit every year, God willing.
We thoroughly enjoy this place! We come and stay without a dinghy. Just a relaxing weekend with our dogs at the river. They love it! We are a big rig for what usually frequents this location. As such we sometimes overdraw on the electric. Doesn't create any serious problems. We are here for some relaxation at the river's edge and haven't needed our AC though we do need to fire up the generator to run the microwave if needed. This is not a drawback to us as our needs and draws are simple. We come to kick back and relax.
This is a quick hit for us just an hour or so from home. We come here for the live country band on Saturday night. Where else can you dance to the latest local country band with your own cooler in hand and walk home? They have the top local bands and everyone has fun. Don't know what they are referring to with the awning in the next living room thing as we have always had comfortable sites. And did anyone mention the pool? Great clean fun for families. Close to Concord and many activities. We sometimes come up with other families and just relax for a close weekend and time to get the kinks out before racing on longer trips.
