This was our first time to camp here,we usually go to River Valley Campground. We like to go tubing and the running stream by our campsite was great for that. The sites were spacious and the restrooms were clean. We probably will come back here on our future camping trips to Cherokee.
We stay at this campground most every time we are in Cherokee. We love the fact that there is a running stream that you can do great tubing and fishing in and lots of shady lots. The only downfall is that you cannot reserve a specific site and after April, they take no reservations. We will continue to come to this peaceful campground because we love the relaxation but we wish they would accommodate reservations.
Had it not been for the fact that we had a site on the "stream", we would have turned around and left upon arrival. When we called to book our sites, we were told that you can go tubing in the "stream", but as we soon found out, the water was barely moving. To get to the restrooms you had to walk across a neighbors site because there were no pathways and there was no parking area either for the restrooms or the laundry room. The sites are very small and we camped in a pop up. The staff was purely business, not overly friendly. The one good thing that I will say is that the restrooms were the best I have ever seen in a campground and the lady that maintains them should be commended! The next time we are in the Pigeon Forge area, we will stay elsewhere.
