We were scared to death at this place. About midnight a car pulled up right behind us with lights blazing into our camper. It woke us up, and when we realized it was not another camper, we sat up straight in bed. Then this car pulled within inches of us and drove by. We could barely sleep the rest of the night. In the morning another camper, also scared, suggested that they were checking license numbers to see if you paid by envelope. Next time I will skip this place!
This place was almost full, due to Memorial weekend, but they gave us a back-in spot, where you had to maneuver carefully to avoid faucets and sewer caps and rocks, but we were glad to have a spot. We would like an outdoor table, but none here. The "lodge" is a complete mess, but that was the only spot to get Wi-Fi, so I sat there amid the debris, while a cat chased a mouse around me! Do not buy gas at the "Scenic Quick Stop" down the road from this campground. It is about 30 cents higher per gallon that in the town of Salina.
