Staff was very nice and helpful. We stayed here while getting our motorhome serviced. They nicely placed us near the showers. The spaces are super spacious. Showers were very clean. There are a lot of permanent campers and for the most part they keep their spaces neat and attractive. We would stay here again if we come to the area.
We planned a week-long stay here in order to visit NYC. One day into our stay, we lost all electricity in our RV. (Inverter went bad, we found out later). We had signed up for the NYC tour. The manager was kind enough to cancel our trip as we had to work to get the inverter replaced. Showers were clean. The staff was very friendly. Spaces were spacious. The campground is about an hour's drive into the outmost subway station or you can drive about 20 min. and take a train into NYC. About the same amount of time getting to Grand Central, either way.
We stayed here while visiting the Baseball Hall of Fame. The HOF is about 10 miles away. The campground was very peaceful and the WiFi worked "OK". The Amish bring baked goods to the office on Saturday mornings and we truly enjoyed the cinnamon rolls. We would stay here again if we visit the area.
We stayed in this campground for several days while visiting the Cleveland/Canton area. We were in the back, behind some pine trees. While the area was great for peace and quiet, the Wi-Fi was terrible. We didn't use the pool, but it was open on the day after we arrived. We would stay here again if we visit Cleveland.
This park is nice, clean and near KC attractions. However, the trains passed through most of the night. Because there are several ungated crossings, the whistle blew several times as each train traveled by the campground...and the whistles were loud. We eventually got some sleep once we became accustomed to the noise. The directions on the campground website are great and made getting to the campground easy. We might stay here again due to its location.
This park is very nice. Pull through sites are good. Up to 71 feet. We did not unhook our car trailer. Our main complaint was their pet policy. We are supportive of pet rules, however their policies may be a bit over the top. You will be fined if you don't pick up your doggy do-do, which is understandable. However, if they find any do-do on your site after checkout, they will fine you. I explained to them that our small Rat Terriers would not leave large 'logs' so if any big do-do was found, it was not ours. The staff was very friendly and pleasant.
The Good: It is in a great location. There is a $4/day shuttle to Disneyland. It is nearby Angels Stadium. It is very clean and has a nice pool/hot tub. It is clean and well maintained. The staff was very helpful in suggesting activities/directions/restaurants. The Bad: the wireless was terrible. We kept getting kicked off and when we contacted the office we were always told "Someone must be streaming. We tell them not to, but they do it." well...if you always lose bandwidth due to streaming, you need a stronger router/booster for the park. We would stay here again.
We stayed here mid-week. The park is beautiful. The golf course is convenient and beautiful, as well. Our site was level and the hosts had manicured the spaces well. Very friendly hosts: and I'm not saying this just because they are my sister and brother-in-law. :-) The Park is easily accessible from I-35. We have a 40 foot motorhome and our site was back-in, however, access was easy. This is a very nice greenbelt walking path around the lake and along the river. We would stay here again.
We stayed here in the middle of the week. Very friendly staff. Our site was slightly downhill to the front of our motorhome. The staff allowed us to turn around and pull through the opposite way. The utilities were actually on the opposite side, so the switch worked well. There were plenty of shade trees. The only suggestion would be for the owners to set more trash recepticles around the park. They only have three or four big dumpsters and those are located along the "lower" lake road: probably so the trash truck doesn't need to drive up hill and down throughout the park. We would stay here again.
We stayed here over Father's Day weekend. Wonderful experience. Gene guided us to our pull-through site. He even trimmed a tree branch because it was too close to our front door. He said it wasn't an issue for him to cut the branch because if it was too close to our door, it would be too close to others. The sites were newly completed. At 7:30pm on Friday's Gene plays guitar around the campfire. Great time. 60's and 70's songs. The office staff was very friendly. They gave us great suggestions of fishing. We caught several fish at Clear Creek Reservoir. We highly recommend this campground.
We camped here as a result of our other choices for campgrounds being full. The checkin was excellent. We were towing a 25 foot car trailer and they allowed us to unhook and stow the trailer in a lower parking area. Everything was fine. We were guided into our pull through space. Nice cement slab w/ picnic table. Fire ring (yes, its an old tire rim). it provided for a couple excellent fires during our stay. Now for the unpleasant part. My sister-in-law, from Denver, came to stay with us a couple nights. We had told the managers she was coming and they were "OK" with her checking in later. She arrived, paid her additional fee and told the management that she needed directions to site 52. She was told that wasn't right because the seasonal worker's trailer was in #52. My sister didn't know what to say. She reiterated that we were in #52. The host became rude and told her that he would not escort her to #52 because that was his site. Another worker asked his wife (the check-in lady), what site they were in. She said #51. He just said "Oh." No apology, no admission of being wrong, just "Oh." Another employee escorted my sister to SITE #52. Host's attitude and actions were not acceptible to us. I've also read other reviews of Mary's Lake Campground, where one of the workers is referred to as "the grumpy man." The owners need to counsel him to lighten up, or he should find other employment.
We stayed here for five days in early April. The park was only 1/3 full. We had a nice space. The office staff was very pleasant. The vegetable and shrimp vendor came by each evening. San Carlos is a bit commercial, but we enjoyed trying different restaurants. The RV park is about a quarter mile from a beach. The beach is clean. We had a good view of the marina. Directions are fair...good signage until you come to the turn-off, then there is no sign. We and others missed the turn and had to backtrack.
We stayed at this park for 10 days in early April. We had a beachfront site. Water pressure was pitiful, but not a problem. We, and others, filled our tanks and used our waterpumps. The remaining winter residents were polite, friendly and pleasant. The wifi was excellent. The staff was friendly. Old Kino was quaint. We truly enjoyed our stay.
