Woodward Reservoir is full at this writing; so was the RV campground. Leash law was not enforced and as a result, plenty of land mines to navigate around, and flies. Mid afternoon the power was down to 110 volts (brownout). The park attendants were out in force checking camp credentials. But not leash laws. All in all this is a tremendous value for the senior, $15 a day (summer season). Sites were well spaced, but the hook-ups were at the very back, and at best a stretch (for the hose) to make things work. If you are into RC aircraft, there is a flying field just to the north around the dam, with friendly folks ready to answer questions about the hobby.

Monument RV Park is part of a larger campground comprised multiple camping facilities. Comanche Lake (reservoir) South Shore and North Shore is run by East Bay Municipal Water District. Not necessarily a good deal price wise. They do have a lake and that helps. We looked at the water but did not actually get wet. Some of the sites are level but bring your planks because some sites are anything but level. Power was strong and water was good. Bring a long waste hose because the sewer connection may be up to 20’ away. If you must leave after 11PM, be prepared to spend the night out. No re-admittance until 5AM. Be prepared to be charged $9 for each camp site reservation. Bring $4 extra per day per person, if you want to fish. This place is peaceful and really dark at night. Fast check in for those with reservations. Closest grocery store, Valley Springs, is 10 minutes away. No showers or restrooms in the Monument section.

We had a very pleasant stay. Wi-Fi was at times weak but worked. All streets are wide and sites are easy to maneuver into. The staff is friendly and helpful. Check in was swift. We were provided with excellent cable and free guide. The casino is a very short distance away and mostly a level walk. The park is well lighted and patrolled. We noted just a little road noise from the adjacent roadway. Electrical power was strong even with both air conditioners set on kill. Highly recommended and definitely a five star stay.

Friendly and helpful folks. They gave us a ride up the hill to preview just how I may want to approach the camping spot (31). This spot is classed as a pull through, but the downhill grade and turn at the bottom told me to just back out, which we did. My fifth wheel is 38 feet long. The rain came our first afternoon and with it the pine needles. The down hill roadway was very slippery as a result. The next morning all the roads were clean by the park operators and much appreciated by us. Naturally the place was wide open this late in the season but they still had ice for our Margaritas. Hurray!

Clean and neat camp ground. Rock solid power. Wi-Fi strong and fast. Yes there is some freeway noise. The navigation into and out of the park is good for even the largest rig. The cable TV system works well. The office was not attended on our arrival but the reservation and spot was posted on the door. Envelopes available for payment. We stayed here twice within a few days and were happy with our stay. We would recommend this campground for their long pull-throughs.
