This was my second time at this park. Last time I stayed for one night, this time for two. The sites are gravel but level and there is minimal noise from I-80. Not a bad little campground for a couple of nights stay.
For the price I was not impressed. I have stayed at parks that charge less and had a much nicer site. The sites are gravel and it appeared that most were level. I did see some motorhomes with their front wheels off the ground. Water pressure was adequate, power was good, and there was very little noise at night. I was given a back in site for a 43 foot MH and I was just off the the roadway. Older park that could use some renovations.
Arrived and it was very hot outside, 100+. Hooked up to 50 AMP service and my surge protector kept resetting. Contacted manager and we plugged into 50 AMP service next door and everything was good. Gravel level sites. Easy off I-70. Nice people.
Other then the park being a bit pricey we had a nice site. Not able to receive satellite even though I asked for a site to do so. As I drove through the park it appeared there weren't any sites that viewed the southern sky. OK for a couple of nights stay if visiting Nashville.
We stayed in the 500 loop and it was close to the bus stops and to the boat launch. For the price of the site you don't get much but I guess that is just Disney. The sites are all paved with power, water and sewer. Very tight for a big rig as our site was on a curve. Other loops seemed to have sites that were easier to access. The whole experience was good except fitting into the site on the first day. I would come back but to a different loop.
Price reflects monthly stay. My wife and I are just ending a 4 month stay at this RV resort. As previous people have stated, the property is well maintained and the owner is very helpful. The property is near several churches, post office, fire and rescue departments, shopping, hospital, gas stations and restaurants, and of course the Gulf Coast. We had more rain then usual and some spots of the property had water but that subsided after a couple of days, plus the owner was out with submersible pumps keeping the property as dry as possible. We would stay here again if in the area.
Park is close to Gulf Coast, across the street. We visited during two weeks of rain and coastal flooding. Saw employees putting out sand bags by doors and asked employee if park floods easily. Employee stated that even during Katrina it never really flooded. Did get a lot of high water in all sites, but it did drain quickly. WI-FI was good; satellite reception was good. As for anything over 40 feet, your rig is on the edge of the road both front and back. Was able to maneuver on roadways, but it is close to other units and buildings. Employees were very nice. I would not stay here again as I do not like gravel and sand for a base with a heavy rig. Other than that this is a nice park.
A very nice KOA. Security gate at entrance. We stopped after the water had been turned off for the winter. Our site was not that level, the third step out of the coach was still a good two feet from the ground. I'm sure if I played around at the site I could have been level but I was there for only one night. Very peaceful.
The campground itself is wooded. The site we were in was large and was not close to other campers. However, saying that they are big rig friendly is not exactly true. The road to the park is marked 10 tons, most 40 foot plus are over 10 tons. The road inside the park is very narrow and not passable for anything larger than 40 feet, and even that would be tight. Other than that it looks like a very nice campground.
The road into the park was uneven and a little narrow for larger rigs, but if you go slow it's ok. The park's mamagement met us as we pulled in and directed us to our site. The park is wooded so no satellite TV, but they have over 100 cable channels. The park sites are gravel but level. The park is clean and quiet. We stayed for 4 nights and will come here again.
As one of the previous reviewers stated, the park is at the end of a runway for Memphis so there is a lot of airplanes, either taking off or landing. Other then that the park is quiet and is near the Interstate. The staff is friendly. The pool was closed when we were here, but the hot tub was open and they have a massage therapist on duty, just make a reservation. Nice park.
Excellent RV park. Everything was kept clean and owners took pride in their park. Staff was very friendly. Lots to do in area. Stayed here for 6 months and was able to attend many area functions. Hot August Nights is a must see for anyone interested in hot rods and old cars.
Web site states Big Rig friendly, not so. First site they put us in was smaller then RV and RV hung over in back and front. Site was not level either. Went to upper camp area and site was hard to get into with larger RV. Had to back up and pull forward several times. Quite area and nice surroundings.
Stayed here for 3 months. Nice place except they have gravel and sand road. Dusty most of the time. They do wet down the roads once a week. Next to busy highway. Marine air base 1/2 mile away with loud jets during the day.
