This is the first KOA I have been in. Very well run; check-in was friendly, fast, and efficient. Sites varied in size and not all had sewer hookups. We had a medium size, level, no sewer site one row from the river, could say we had “partial river view.” Well stocked small store. Clean laundry, restrooms and showers. Wi-Fi a little slow but adequate, lots of TV cable channels. All in all a very pleasant stay. Would camp here again.
Stayed a few nights in the older section. Smallish full hookup site with mature trees and shrubs. Very clean and attractive. Friendly and knowledgeable lady at check in. Wi-Fi ok, no cable but some TV stations from antenna. Good location for exploring Olympic Nat’l Park and a day trip on the ferry to Victoria, BC.
Friendly, efficient check in. I had one of many long back-in sites next to the lake. Store and restaurant on site. Didn't use the Wi-Fi so no comments about it. I have no complaints and didn't notice any deficiencies so there is no reason to downgrade from 10.
This park is definitely going downhill. The sites vary widely. Many are like the one I had, a gravel driveway with weeds and overgrown vegetation on each side and with a strong sewer odor from an open vent. Most of the full-hook-up sites needed at least 20’of sewer hose. In even the big sites the grass was neglected, un-watered and dying. Over ½ of the washing machines and 5 out of 9 dryers had “out of order” signs. The floor hadn’t been swept; it was a mess. For the services offered and the amenities, a charge of $20 a night would be about right considering the convenient location.
Very convenient location, close to Monterey tourist sites and highways. Campground hosts are friendly and helpful. Spaces in upper paved area are narrow; hookups are at the back of the sites, I needed 20' foot of sewer hose to connect. TV reception is poor, but there is free WI-FI with strong signal strength. Ten million watt overhead lights on all night - bring blackout shades, you can read inside by these lights. All in all a good RV park with reasonable rates for the area.
Most sites are tucked away in the trees and are very private. Several fish cleaning stations and a wet suit drying rack. Only could get cell service by standing in the middle of the road in a clear area. The bathrooms, showers, and laundry are old and in need of upgrading but are spotless. Surprised at the coin operated showers, take lots of quarters. Staff very helpful and friendly, grounds are kept up beautifully. WiFi signal in my site spotty and weak.
Would have given it a 10 if WiFi was available. Laundry, rest rooms and showers old but spotless. Lots of permanent residents but units are very well kept. Pull through sites paved with grass and a small shade tree. Back-ins are in a pine tree shaded area, like camping in a forest. Short distance from Interstate 5, some traffic noise and an occasional train in the distance. Owners very friendly and helpful.
Beautiful quiet location on the Sacramento River 6+ miles east of Corning. Boat dock, bait & tackle shop, snacks, ice & sodas, deck overlooking the river. Adjacent to a county park. Friendly, helpful staff. The park is old with quite a few older permanent trailers. The laundry, restroom and shower buildings are old but clean and spotless. Most sites are grass, tree shaded and have cement patios. A nice place to relax.
Large tree shaded spaces on the shores of an 80 acre lake. Staff very friendly and helpful. Very quiet, no traffic noise, no water skiing or jet skis (boats have to be operated at a no wake speed). Was told there is very good fishing for bluegill, cat and large mouth bass. Nature trails around the lake. Definitely would go back.
Bought my first trailer near by and stayed here for four days learning how to use everything. Beautiful park overlooking the lake. Clean, well maintained. Park police patrol frequently, they are friendly but keep an eye on potential problems.
