I wish I could give this park a higher rating but there are too many negatives. The drive in from I75 is up and across the mountain on narrow curvy roads. We arrived on a Sunday and the office was closed. The entrance to the campground is very steep and we didn't even venture down the mountain to the lower sites. We chose a site below the office. The sites slope up hill from front to back and needed several blocks to level. The sewer would not drain as it sloped up to the outlet. The sites are very short and not big rig friendly. The new sites are poorly designed and some have fallen away due to erosion. The staff is extremely friendly and the office staff were anxious to make sure we had everything we needed. The view is beautiful and they are in the process of adding a restaurant to the marina. The newer section of this campground is poorly designed and it needs to be totally rethought. I doubt that we will return.

We stopped here after trying to out run a storm. It is off I59 on Lookout Mountain. If not for the storm we would have driven right on by and missed one of the best campgrounds of our trip. It is everything that the previous reviews have said. Great campground owners who go out of their way to make campers feel at home. This is a great area to explore. We are planning a return trip in the fall.

I would agree with the previous review. Good overnight stop. Pull thrus are very narrow, close to your neighbor. Friendly helpful staff. Don't miss the trip out to Magpie High Falls, Silver Falls and Sand Beach. The beach is huge and wide. It was cold and rainy when we went but in the nice weather it would make for a great day at the beach.

We stayed in this park because we couldn't get into Pancake Bay!!! We think we made a good choice. It is mostly seasonal with 3 pull thru sites, a few back in and tent sites. The seasonal folks are friendly and suggested things to see on our way north. There is a cafe on site that serves full meals. There is a beach and boat launch. No dogs allowed on the beach. There is a beautiful long sand beach just up the road, warm shallow bay.

We have stayed at this campground several times. The staff is friendly and helpful. The sites are large and private. Most of the sites are pull throughs with some back ins around the edges. There is a beach and marina with views across the lake. Lots of opportunity to walk. There is a pond that is stocked with fish for the fisherman. Washrooms are very clean. We always enjoy camping here and will return.

We stayed at this campground on the long weekend in May. It was very busy and you had to be careful to watch for kids on the roadways. Lots for everyone to do. Indoor pool, bouncing pillow, hayrides, karaoke, pancake breakfast, ice cream sundaes and movie night. The sites are small and not very private. The washrooms were very clean even with the high traffic. Lots of staff visible all weekend. I had business in the area and would return for business but not our first choice for a relaxing holiday. Great for families.

This is a beautiful campground just off the 401 on the east edge of Toronto. Large grassy sites with some pull throughs. Friendly staff who eagerly share information about the area. We will definitely be returning to this campground.
