This older park could be better if more attention was given to the landscaping/site maintenance. It appears that the current owners only do the bare minimum. When mowing around the picnic tables, why not the grass underneath them also? On several hot days, the voltage would hover around 104-106 and lower. We were forced to use only one ac and put the fridge and water heater on gas to help. Started to use the micro/convection oven and the voltage dropped to 100, resulting in us turning on the gennie. The drain for the gray/black tanks is uphill, which supports the old saying, stuff doesn't flow uphill. Water pressure is in the 90-95 PSI range, so a regulator is absolutely necessary. Would have been nice if the office had mentioned this. Cell service is not good, and satellite depends on where your site is. We camp to relax and don't want to be constantly worrying about power/tank draining issues. Doubtful that we will come back for another rally here.
This was our first time here for a 4-day rally and was impressed. An older park but nicely setup for a short stay or longer. Will be back again when in the area. Close to numerous activities in the Hill Country and surrounding area. Wi-Fi was consistently good which was surprising.
Very nice park in the small Kansas town of Wellington, which is approx. 2-3 west of I-35. We stay here 1-2 times a year when in the area. Owners are great, price is very reasonable, nice pool/shower rooms and Wi-Fi works surprisingly well.
Very nice place to stop just south of Ardmore and west of I-35. Nice pool, laundry, good management, good Wi-Fi and excellent RV parts department and storm shelter if needed. Have stayed many times when traveling through.
This park is very nice for an overnighter or several days. Has hard packed gravel at the sites and would only be better if it had concrete pads. Right off Hwy 281 and 1 mile of I-20 makes it very convenient. Owners are top notch, pool is great, clean showers, (2) rally halls, great cabins. We stay there when in the area.
Pretty nice KOA with a good pool, good working Wi-Fi (hard to believe isn't it). Sites were a little closer than I like, but are doable. Appears to be a good selection of eating places about a mile away, but we did not try, mexican, chinese, and hometown restaurant types. Would stay again if in the area. By the way (BTW), water pressure is posted as 85 psi; believe it.
This is an older park that is out in the rural area, so it doesn't have any road noise, railroad trains, etc. It is showing its age and could use some good tlc and repairs. Check-in people were very nice and helpful. Our site was ok, but the sewer connection was broke and just laying on the ground. There are a number of folks who apparently keep there RVs there and come in on the weekends. Would probably stay again when in the area. We were there 4 days/3 nights while attending a class reunion.
We stayed here for 3 days and 4 nights while visiting friends in the area. Our rig is a 40 footer so the sites and others close by were really tight getting in and out. All utilities worked ok, but the water pressure was a little iffy at times. Plenty of activities for the kids in the form of a nice pool, basketball court, etc. At night, the bugs can be very annoying so bring the spray. Would consider another stay if nothing else was available.
This was an older average KOA which would suffice for a couple of days layover. The exterior of the office needs some repair and paint which would help somewhat. The dump station is on the wrong side, if your rigs hose is on the drivers side. Water pressure is so-so. Might stay again if in the area.
An older campground that has a number of permanent residents/sites that are generally in average condition. Wi-Fi is only available in the small rally building but did not try it for reliability. The park would be OK for a couple of nights but nothing longer as it a condition overall leaves much to be desired. Is located 17 miles east of Clinton, Mo and 12 miles west of Warsaw, Mo on #7 highway. The little town of Warsaw has a good variety of shops and mom & pop restaurants.
Gravel throughout except for your pad which was concrete. Onsite restaurant open from 7 am-2 pm with good basic breakfast/lunch menu. Wi-Fi is reliable and strong. Friendly owners at check-in. Is 1/2 mile from the Branson Belle boat and Table Rock State Park/Marina but 5+ miles from the main Branson drag and noise. Will stay here again when in the area.
Stayed here over Labor Day weekend for a rally. Sites are gravel but level. Some sites need tree limbs trimmed or they will screen your rig or prevent awning from coming all the way down. Wi-Fi speed comes and goes but generally works on average. Some electrical issues caused several sites to lose power. Flip of the coin whether we would stay again.
This has been open about (3) years and is very nice in every aspect but does not have concrete pads. That said all sites are gravel but very level. Ideal for one night stay, extended stays or rally of 75-100 people. Two rally halls with plenty of room for those events. Will definitely stay here again. Located approx 1 mile north of I-20 on Hwy 281. There is plenty of good eat places close by.
Very nice for an overnighter or longer. About 1-2 miles west of the interstate - very quiet. They now have cable TV although the over the air TV works well also. We usually stay her several times during the year when in the area.
This our second stay here with the first about 4 yrs ago. The owners/hosts are very friendly and out going and strive to take very good care of the park grounds. Pool area is well taken care of. Will stay again when in the area.
We stayed a total of 6 nights while visiting the Black Hills area. Sites are gravel and could be more level. Water pressure at the sites was low and barely adequate. Wi-Fi was a joke. We connected with the KOA Wi-Fi across the road with a strong signal. Pool was OK but use of the water slide is extra. Probably wouldn't stay there again as many more and better CG's are available in the general area.
Rate reflects Good Sam club. Stayed her 5 days and found CG to be above average. Cable was acceptable, over the air TV was very clear and the Wi-Fi actually worked very well the majority of the time. Will probably stay here again.
We always try and stay here when in the area, as the place is usually very good. However, the office person failed to properly note our reservation from our previous day's phone call, so checking was somewhat chaotic. His ho hum attitude didn't help either. Management needs to take some corrective action to ensure this person is on board.
We stayed here with a 4 day RV rally group. Everything mostly was very good but there seemed to be an unusually large amount of young children who behaved well. Wi-Fi was slightly better than average but generally acceptable. We would stay again if in the area.
Very nice place. Our rate is for the standard site which doesn't have an umbrella over the picnic table. As others have stated, a shuttle will respond to you site and take you to the nearby casino. The food at the casino was a little pricey at times but very good and fresh. Will stay again when in the area.
Nice older park with generally level gravel sites. Sign in office says use water pressure regulator as pressure is 90-110 lbs. Believe it. Good Wi-Fi but the only TV is via Sat or Cable hookups at sites. No on air TV as there is no tower in Evanston. Would definitely stay again when in the area.
One of the best, if not the best in the area. Wi-Fi was generally pretty good but could use some improvements/tweaking for consistency and better power. Good AC and water pressure. Only satellite for TV. Antennae TV is pretty weak but somewhat functionally, but hey, you don't come to Zion Canyon area to watch TV. We will stay again when in the area.
Recently finished a (6) day RV Rally there. The owners are first rate and have a hands on approach. The Wi-Fi was sporadic or I would have given the park a 10. Will definitely stay there again when in the area.
We were here for a 3-day rally. Our site was by the south clubhouse/office and was a little narrow but acceptable. Wi-Fi was awsome as well as the electric. Had a very nice pool and club house facilities. We will stay here again when in the area. BTW, the small parrots in the cage at the office WILL bite: don't ask how I know...
Nice CG that seems to have some permanents that seem to take care of their RV's and sites. There was some hwy noise but it's tolerable. On the pull-through sites, you are some distance from the sewer connections if you don't unhook your toad. The man in the office was very helpful and friendly. Wi-Fi was very good with a strong signal. Will stay here again when in the area.
Nice quiet park 1 mile south of the interstate. Our site was a pull through with little shade although there are a number of other sites with shade. Fair water pressure and the water smells like well water. Fantastic Wi-Fi signal and friendly office staff. Would probably stay there again when in the area.
Pretty good size KOA with relatively level gravel sites which were pretty close together. Wi-Fi was better than some, nice pool. Interstate noise was pretty evident and the water pressure was deplorable. Acceptable for an overnighter but would not recommend for anything longer.
We stayed there 1 week for a rally. Park electricity and water were very good and consistant. WiFi and cell coverage were sporadic or non-existent. If your going to advertise these things, make sure they work.
Save your money and go elsewhere. People in the office argued in front of us about whether we could park at the first site they chose then decided to move us elsewhere. Roads are narrow with low overhead limbs. The place is trashy with a number of permanent residents. The BBQ grill at our site was rusted through and hanging from the pole. Would not stay there again if in the area.
We recently stayed there for a rally from 10/6/08-10/10/08. The checkin staff/CG employees were very friendly and helpful when needed. The CG itself is huge and has just about everything you would need. The only complaint would be that while free WiFi is available at the onsite eatery/snackbar, it is limited to no more than 8 people at a time. If you want WiFi at your site, it cost extra at $9.95 per day which I think is a little pricey. They do however, have more than the usual number of available cable stations at the sites. Will stay there again in the future.
Staff was friendly and helpful. Sites were relatively level and graveled. Interstate road noise was evident even when inside the motorhome. Stayed their overnight but would consider a longer stay in the future.
We stopped for (1) night enroute to Myrtle Beach, SC. Seemed like the CG was getting ready to close for the season as not many campers were there. Poor signage at the entrance causing us to almost miss the turnin. Office staff was friendly, WiFi was the usual, they have it but we never could connect. Not the best example for a KOA campground. Wouldn't recommend for an extended stay
