We came here for the Southern Ground festival on Labor Day weekend. Our site was in the Carrousel (sic) section. Be aware that this part of the park is tight and very busy. Lots of foot traffic and small children. Aforementioned train runs frequently but with our fan on at night we never heard it. As usual, TengoInternet is synonymous with poor Wi-Fi, and that was the case here as well. Our kids weren't too pleased about that. Good laundry facility that was inexpensive to use. Bathrooms in the main building were rather busy with many tent campers present. Staff were pleasant and accommodating. Shuttles to Hersheypark ran a lot and early entry into the park is a nice perk of staying here. We will visit again.
Good Sam rate. Pond with beach and inflatable island and pool with corkscrew slide and fountain for family fun. Basic site was on small side. This park has a lot of history (not all good) and it shows in the community feel of it. The current owners have restored the confidence of the many seasonal residents here and sites can be hard to get. Plan well ahead if you want to stay at this resort. Limited laundry facility and bath and shower rooms can be a bit of a walk but they are cleaned at least once a day. Some recreation options for older kids near the front of the park. Spent one rainy day with no cable TV or Internet. I hope they can fix the reliability of these amenities.
Basically a parking lot with electric and water hookups. Price reflects weekly rate. Water is shut off during cold months and sole source is spigot at dump station. Limited office hours in winter. Gated security can accommodate off-hours check in. Great location for NYC metro destinations. Stayed here while working nearby. Propane refills at U-Haul a few miles away.
This was the second time we have stayed here. Very busy park. Lots for kids to do. Shuttle to the strip stops right in the park. Handful of channels on broadcast TV. Plenty to see on cable TV. Good laundry. Be sure to lock your valuables up at night. On our first stay here my son forgot to lock up and someone rifled through our truck and our neighbor's while we slept. Nightly pool party near the main entrance can be loud and raucous. Well stocked but pricey camp store.
Great location! Walk out of your RV and right on to the beach. Located at the very south end of Myrtle Beach bordering Surfside Beach. Sites were a bit small and roads are tight when towing. Watch out for golf carts! There are rules about their use but with so many it doesn't seem that security can control everyone. Bath and shower rooms were exceptional and frequently cleaned. If you plan on leaving your awning open make sure you have tiedowns. The wind never stopped the whole time we were there. Nice laundry facilities and very good snack bar. We look forward to revisiting this park.
Rate reflects monthly stay. Stayed here while I worked locally. Good location for stores and restaurants. Close to Route 15 so plenty of highway noise. Friendly and helpful staff. Lots of choices on cable TV. TengoInternet is slower with more users on weekends but was functional enough to take care of email and other basic tasks. Level sites. Had issues with washers so I took my laundry off site. Looks like a good destination for families in summer with pools and playgrounds.
Close to Newport Harbor. When I called to make a reservation I was told "first come, first served". This seemed odd to me. Manager stated she had a few spaces so we departed earlier than planned. Manager seems to be very protective of her property, so she comes off as particular. Beautiful grassy site. Did not find an available Wi-Fi signal. Extra $8.00 charge for A/C or electric water heater "but you can't use both at the same time" on 30 amp service. A few TV channels on antenna. We liked the convenient location.
