This Park is extremely clean, lighted and well kept. The location is unusual due to being right under a major Interstate highway. We did not find it to be a problem. Inside with the AC on, you could barely hear it. Outside, you do hear it. We were on the side away from the Interstate, actually under the Bus. 35. It was a little quieter. The big draw for us was the River. Our coach was about 15 feet from the River. Just beautiful looking out our front window. We parked facing in and ran our hook ups under the Coach. It was worth it. There are lots of big trees, ducks, turtles, squirrels and fish. Even the old bridge under Bus. 35 is beautiful. Our site was very large, all concrete with a grass picnic table area. The laundry and shower/restrooms looked real nice but I could not use them because of the highly perfumed cleaners that they used. I have never had that problem anywhere else. You could smell it before you opened the door. The location is perfect for doing all the touristy things and shopping. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We went to Dinner, a storm blew in. The Camp Hosts came during the storm and took down our awning. All of hosts were very nice. We came for 2 days and stayed a week. Our rate reflects Good Sam and a weekly rate. One day with no memberships is $52.50 for the great River spots. We would definitely return if there were River spots available.
This Park was very clean and in a great location in Fredricksburg. We had no problems with the Staff. There was plenty of light at night for walking. The showers were clean and we liked having the commode, sink and shower in your own private area. We did not have a problem with the WiFi. Laundry was nice but had no air conditioning. Having a free ice machine was nice. If noise bothers you, you might want to ask for a spot on the east side of the park, away from the trucking company. The only downfall for us was no swimming pool or Hot Tub. We will return to this park if we came back to the area.
Very attractive entry, office, exercise room, pools, hot tub, showers, pavilion. Lots of atmosphere around the pools and buildings. We were disappointed in the fact that the Pond was completely dry and had never had water. I am weary of having things advertised and then when we get there, they are not there. I specifically ask if all of the things on the brochure were actually there, I was told yes. It was a minor thing but we enjoy having a water feature to walk around and to fish. There were enough lights at night to walk around safely. I did think that at this price, it should have been gated. Our first site was so unlevel that we could not get set up, had to move and start over. I had heat exhaustion by the time we moved, the heat register said 134 degrees outside. Don't plan on using the middle section, second row from the (dry) pond unless you have your tires off the ground. They have a special program at the office for pets. If you leave your keys and a number to be reached, in an emergency, they will go to your Coach, put your pets in a crate and take them to the office, in the event that there is a fire or loss of electricity. I thought that was great. The office staff was great. There was a minor problem at our site and they came immediately and corrected it.
This is an older park, very narrow spaces, narrow entryway, mostly dirt with a little gravel. Nice trees, huge pool, small older hot tub, reasonable laundry/good prices, definitely pet friendly, lots of work campers keeping things in good condition. Nice office staff. Now the downside. I called and ask specifically about the Wi-Fi. I was told that yes, they had it. After we spent all the time setting up, I tried my Wi-Fi and it was not there. Called the office and they said that due to my Coach and the trees that maybe I had better come to the office and use my laptop there. To make a long story short, there is no Wi-Fi except at the office. We left because of it after a few days. I do not like being lied to.
We found this park on Best RV Parks in Texas. Very disappointing. The amenities that were listed, and on the map were not all here. No rec room, and no showers by the rec room. The pool was so plain. The hot tub has algea of some sort growing all in it. The showers and the personnel were nice. The park itself had no grass. The lake was very low and almost unusable by the boats. The fishing was bad. The worst part was the ants. They were everywhere. We had to go to Wal-Mart 13 miles away and spend $15 on chemicals. They still got in the Coach. One other camper told us of many other campers that left due to the ants. The park was exterminated in July but they were coming back. There were no street lights other than the Restaurant/Office area. There were a few lights on the shower room walls. The light at the electric posts were so faint that it would not be enough light to hook up, if you came in after dark. The road where we were was rocks and would not be safe to walk on, after dark. The pool and hot tub has no lights inside or outside the pool, making it unusable after dark, even though it is open until 10PM. There are some low watt lights at the Marina. It is the darkest park we have seen.
We had planned on staying in this Park, but upon arrival and inspection, we drove on. It was like a desert. No shade anywhere, small lots, small pool, showers, restrooms were adequate. Marina was not attractive. I would not recommend this to anyone.
I am so glad that we found this Resort. It is spotless clean, has marvelous trees, concrete pads and streets, all hook ups, great Wi-Fi connections, superior Community Room with the most beautiful woods. There is a big porch with rockers, TV, and beautiful views. The swimming pool is magnificent, with some shade during the day, it has 3 waterfalls, is clean and clear. The hot tub is very large with a huge waterfall of it's own. There is a large community patio with 2 gas grills, a beautiful outdoor fireplace, tables and chairs, ceiling fans, rustic ice chest, with a great view of the pool. The woods used in all of the buildings are just fantastic. The sidewalks are of beautiful stonework. There is a air conditioned laundry room, great exercise room with top of the line equipment, clean shower/restrooms right by the pool of a beautiful slate and more gorgeous woods. They have a fishing pond with tall fountain and a catch and release program. I could not ask for nicer hosts, the owners are right on site to make sure your stay is perfect. It is a marvelous veg out place with lots of birds and squirrels in the large trees.
We were there for 9 days and absolutely loved it. I can not imagine what caused the reviewer above to be so displeased with Management. We found them to be very pleasant and easy to get along with. The lake, with lighted fountains is so relaxing. The pool is a virtual Oasis of Palm trees flowers and shrubs. Everything to do with the Park was first rate. The laundry and showers were immaculate. The exercise area faces the lake and makes you want to exercise. There is a beautiful brick walking path all around the Lake. They keep popcorn available most of the time. There is a great computer room with printers and fax machines at no charge. In fact, we are having difficulty being satisfied with other Parks. If you are in need of care at MD Anderson, this is the place to be. They have 8 shuttles a day. It is a great place vacations or for medical care.
