Great place to stay - so convenient to everything - shopping, Sign Forest, Northern Lights Theater, restaurant - all within walking distance. Only one 50 amp site but they will let you request it. Full-hook-ups. Huge area to wash your RV. Cable TV. Free Wi-Fi that worked okay. The closer to the office, the better you get it. Have stayed here before and would stay again.
Typical gravel parking lot but room to move around. Level. Good Sam Discount. Cable TV. Free Wi-Fi but didn't work for us. Good for overnight or maybe 2 if you want to check out Whitehorse. We have stayed before and would stay again.
50 amps on the ALCAN (WOOHOO)- but make a reservation as there are only five 50 amp sites. pull-through sites - layout awkward - gravel - some trees. Full hook-ups. Good Sam discount. Had free Wi-Fi but could not get on Internet. Store had miscellaneous supplies. Located right after you cross customs leaving Alaska. Restaurant - Buckshot Annie's within walking distance - great fried chicken! Would stay here again.
A little pricey - Good Sam discount. All 50 amp sites taken by caravans. Nice park - easy pull-throughs with ample space. Central to everything. Well maintained. Nice store. Great restaurant with a deck right on the river. Cable TV, free Wi-Fi. Lots to do in Fairbanks area. RV wash area - only $2! Would stay here again.
Tight entrance - above ground water system - orange hose - drive over it but don't park on it! Had to do some maneuvering to accomplish that. About 20 minutes from Denali and worth it not being cramped in the small parking lots there! Country setting. Quiet. They had a really nice area for tenters. Wi-Fi was free and worked okay. Saw moose on the way into Denali! Good Sam discount. Would stay here again.
Stayed a week as we have friends in the area. Very nice park - nicely maintained. Level gravel sites with room to move around. New section called super-sites now open. Good Sam Park. Good antenna reception. Wi-Fi was free and worked well. Close to Walmart and Fred Meyers. We have stayed here before and would stay again. Great central location to visit Palmer, Wasilla, Eagle River, and Anchorage.
Rate reflects discount as we were providing the music for the 4th of July celebration. Very nice park - located 4 miles from downtown but worth it - although gravel pull-through sights, there are also grass back in sites, and trees but not in your way. Plenty of room to maneuver. Very nice owners. Cable had a fee and box. Wi-Fi had a fee - we used our AT&T hot spot. Great place to stay while visiting the Valdez area and Worthington Glacier. Would definitely stay here again.
Good Sam discount reflected. Okay park - it was raining and muddy. Staff very helpful. Pull-through site #6 awkward but doable for our 43' rig. Nice place to visit McCarthy and Hennicott. When we got ready to leave on 2nd morning, there was a bunch of moose droppings - apparently a herd passed through during the night. Oh, they have free coffee and cup cakes on Mon and Fri nights! Would stay here again.
Over priced RV park even with Good Sam discount, but the 50 amp service was worth it after traveling through BC and YT! Pull-through sites are narrow but the trees are trimmed. Wi-Fi was free for one hour and then you had to purchase through TengoInternet. They get a lot of caravans so you should make reservations! Would stay here again for the convenience of 50 amp service!
Special deal: $25 a night due to fishing tournament going on. Basic gravel parking lot campground. Cool owner. Asked us to help out with arrivals as he was busy with the tournament!. Okay for an overnight stay. The free Wi-Fi was excellent. Good Sam discount.
Checking in was quite a chore, as the place you check in is also where you pay for your meal, pay for items you got in the store and pay for fuel. Basically a parking lot - gravel - Good Sam. Shared a power pole and apparently our neighbor had all 3 of their ACs on. We lost power and had to use generator to cool down the RV and do laundry. Went to eat in restaurant and had to sit in the "lounge" since we were ordering wine and beer. Food not good and pricey. Mosquitoes! Okay for an overnight stay as there are not that many choices.
Winding road down off of Hwy 37 to get to campground. Only one pull-through, which we got - a little tight but doable. Wi-Fi was okay. Owner knocked on door at 1030 PM and told us to turn off our generator! Got up early, left and drove up to a rest stop where we stopped, turned on the generator and made our coffee! Would probably not stay there again as $23 seems a lot to pay for Wi-Fi and not be able to use your generator.
A little pricey even with Good Sam discount but convenient and room to maneuver a 43' rig. Wi-Fi pretty good. Cable TV okay. Great place to stay to visit Hyder, Alaska. They recycle! Gravel sites. Would stay again.
This is a community park that allows RV to park by the tennis courts - free - no hook-ups - you can run your generator. There is a nice park on the water with exercise equipment and children's activities. A walk up the hill to restaurants, etc. We actually got a few channels on over-the-air TV. Used Wi-Fi at the restaurant up the hill - free! Grocery store near by. Beautiful setting for overnight! Would stay here again!
This campground is not in Williams Lake - it is about 10 miles past in Wildwood. Very tight to get into. Sites are not made for big rigs. Had to leave, go down the road and enter in a different direction so as not to take out trees, etc. Lots of permanent trailers. Owner exceptionally nice. Saving grace was that the Wi-Fi worked excellently and cable TV was good. Would not stay here again due to small sites.
Basic gravel parking lot for those who want to golf for a few days. We got in too late for that. "Host" seemed annoyed that we got in at dinner time. Has a Good Sam sign but does not give GS discount. Could not get on the Wi-Fi. Some other campers (all Canadians) tried to help but didn't work - fun talking with them though! Would stay here again and get in earlier to play some golf.
Very tight entrance over a creek. Recommend dropping tow before you enter. Had reserved a 50 amp site but that site was having plumbing problems so we had a 30 amps. Visiting a friend in the area. Not too many choices - this was okay. It was muddy and sites pretty tight for our 43 footer. Could not connect to the Wi-Fi no matter what we did so had to use our phone hot spot. Lady in office had no idea what the problem was. Pricey with Good Sam discount and for what you got. Probably would not stay here again unless just for overnight.
Basic campground - plenty of room. A little pricey for what you got but it was full hookup 50 amp. An experience for sure! Lots of gnats and mosquitoes.. There was a nice store and also a saloon where you can chat with the locals. OK for an overnight stay. Wi-Fi was very good. Would stay here again.
Passport America rate and well worth it! The sites are okay - pull-through with Wi-Fi that was OK. No cable. But the ranch itself is so fun - ride the train out to feed the Bison! And eat in the restaurant, but don't order fried chicken. Stick with bison ribs - award winning! We would stay here again for overnight.
A little pricey even with Good Sam discount but the gravel sites were level. Staff friendly. Strouds Restaurant within walking distance very good - pan fried chicken. Cable TV OK. Wi-Fi free but WEAK! Would stay here again.
Great location in an area of OK that surprised us with mountains etc. Nice park that could use some TLC - sites not well delineated - some long term. Owners want to sell and travel themselves! Cable TV was fuzzy but that could be due to location. Wi-Fi was good. Good location to ride on the Talimena Scenic Highway and eat at Pam's Hateful Hussy Diner. Would stay here again.
Would give this a 10 except for some low trees and narrow roads. Otherwise an outstanding park. New sites (we were in 19) overlooking the lake were awesome. We had planned to go into town and eat but instead cooked at the RV and sat out and watched the sunset after a walk around the lake. Only two channels on air TV but Wi-Fi worked well. New sites are wide. Would definitely come here again and stay longer!
Rate reflects Passport America discount. Long winding road to get here and due to all the rain, there was water everywhere. Nice park. We had site #1 a pull-through that was quite long. Check-in a little unique - pass through the club house into office. Beautiful park - well maintained. Very helpful staff. Would stay here overnight again.
Fee represents Passport America membership. Not what I expected for a "resort" but okay for an overnight stay. Pull-through 50 amp site was easy in, but a little tight getting out for our 43' rig. Entire park needs some TLC. Restaurant "Mustang Grill" was very nice - young waitresses very friendly and accommodating. Fried tilapia was awesome, as was everything else. Would stay overnight here again.
PA price. Okay for one night at that price. Mostly long term. Pot holes on the road in. Back in, close sites. Nobody in the office when we arrive or the next day. Envelope with our site number was waiting for us and we put in our cash and placed in mail slot. Farther from New Bern than we had anticipated. Full hook up. WIFI was pretty good and free. Water pressure weak.
Smith Lake Road now paved for the 2 miles into the recreation area. Office on the left, not right. Road to RV sites not paved but well packed down. Winding road but plenty of room to negotiate a 43 foot motorhome. Sites on the hill nice, large pull-throughs. Full hookups. Not on the post - just outside about 3 miles. Nothing fancy but okay for a day or two.
Very nice even though it was raining and cold. A little tight at the entrance and exit of the park for a 43' motor home. All the amenities including a pool and hot tub but it was too cold to use! Very friendly staff at check-in. You pick your own site, which is quite difficult as there are so many different ones to pick from!
This is a very nice park! Neat, clean, well groomed, lots of room for large rigs, quiet, nice pool, close to Charleston. Negatives are the slow Wi-Fi and the limited dryers/washers in the laundry room. Also, charged $3.32 for my daughter to spend one night when she came up from FL to pick up our grand-daughters as we are heading north to AK.
Very nice park; friendly owner. It had been raining and the area was a little soggy. Right on a lake; nice sunset and fireflys! $20 is awesome for 50Amp, and full-hook ups and long pull-through site. Free WiFi. Would definitely stay here again.
Basically a run down park with mostly homesteaders who are workers in the area. Basics were here: 50 amp, water, sewer, laundry room. Bath house was a trailer but clean. Interior roads are in need of repair. Office hours were limited. However, it is close to all the sights around Atlanta and Stone Mountain. Price is for a week.
Very tight for our motor home and tow (62'). Pull-throughs were angled. Has lots of trees, a beautiful lake (and sunsets). Road into the park is narrow and winding, but paved. Camping area has dirt roads. Dump area is in dire need of re-surfacing! Park accepts Golden Age Annual Pass.
Great place for overnight: $20 for full hook-up! No bathrooms, etc. On a small lake. Some mild road noise. Level gravel sites, pull-through was long enough for our rig (62'). Honor system: put money in envelope and drop in the slot. Would definitely stay here again for overnight.
It is hard to believe this is part of the Elvis Presley Properties: it is old and run down with long term residents. PT sites are for overnight only. Since we were staying 4 nights to enjoy Memphis, we had to drop our trailer and take a back-in along the fence line. Very close to the neighbor. Over priced for what you get. Laundry room was okay. Office personnel were friendly. Can walk to Graceland and the Heartbreak Hotel. Would stay here again overnight as there is not much in the area, but not a destination spot. They need to invest in making updates to improve this park.
The owner is very nice and helpful. A lot of the sites are full-timers. The pull-through site was mostly grass mixed with gravel and a little wet due to all the rain recently in AR. This is an overnight park. But, you do need to see "The Castle" in Wilson Park Fayetteville! This is cash or check only park. Restroom and laundry are combined; clean but definitely in need of repair. Would stay here again overnight due to low price for full-hook ups and free Wi-Fi that works and cable TV.
What a wonderful roomy, clean, well maintained RV park!! Sites were all concrete slabs, with concrete pads for the hook-ups! So clean! Laundry room was small but clean. Security gate! We stayed 2 nights to sight-see in Wamego (Oz Museum) and Topeka (Old Prairie Town, Harley Davidson Museum, Blind Tiger Brewery). Recommend this park highly for overnight or for visiting the Topeka area. Easy access to interstate. Free w-ifi worked! Cable TV free! Good Sam park.
Roomy, level sites. Easy access. Nice personnel in the office. Bathroom/showers very clean. Did not use laundry but did notice that it was also very clean. We stopped here on the way to Topeka. Not much in the area but did find the Monument Rocks which is a must see! Free Wi-Fi worked well. Not much in the way of antenna TV reception. Would stay here again for overnight. Restaurant on premises very nice and reasonable.
We stayed here 13 nights as we wanted to see a lot of the Rockies and Denver. Positives - one of the nicest laundry rooms in the 3 yrs we have been RVing. Negatives: Mostly full-timers - some sites in disarray. Very crowded! When we checked in our neighbor (a long term resident) had a leaking sewer hose - yuck. We notified the manager who notified the owner of the RV. We loaned him duct tape for a temp fix - he said he would get a new hose - never did the entire time we were there. Great location to visit the area but definitely not a park you sit out and enjoy the evening because of the crowding. Sites not very long. We had to unhook our trailer. No charge to store up front which was nice. Other items were also stored up front (boats, RVs, trucks, trailers etc). Would recommend this as an overnight only as it is easy access off of the interstate.
This park is located not far from the highway, and although all gravel, we found it to be quite level. It was snowing while we checked in and continued to snow off and on while we were there, but the sites did get mushy. When someone left, there was a worker using a tractor to level the site back out for the next customer. There are numerous pull-through sites, and the office tried to keep distances between RVs until it got too busy to do so. Good water pressure. Wi-Fi did not work well - we used our ATT Aircard, and it worked better. Not much to do in the area unless you like scenic drives - which we enjoyed very much. Saratoga Hot Springs is not too far and a fun adventure! Would recommend this for overnight or a day or so for scenic drives.
Very nice park - lots to do in Gallup and surrounding areas. However, they don't tell you on the web page that 50 AMP is $2 a day extra as is cable TV - no antenna reception. High tax added to fee as well. There is a 10% military discount. Very nice laundry room. Very nice personnel in office. Nice gift shop. Long gravel pull-through, but very close to your neighbor.
Pictures on web site look better than the actual park. However, for overnight or two, it is OK. Long roomy pull-throughs with full hook up. On-site managers very nice. The park needs a lot of maintenance to the surrounding buildings. Wi-Fi worked well. Fee is Good Sam.
We stayed here two years ago for overnight and the construction is gone, making it easier to get to the park. Need to work on the road leading to the park. Sites are long and level. The Wal-Mart is right next door and you can walk over. Rate is Good Sam. Wi-Fi excellent. Great for an overnight stay.
Great state park: very scenic, great lake, family oriented. Sunday church service lake side is available. Staff was very friendly. Some pull-in sites are larger than others. We were assigned a site, when we got here it would not accommodate us. We saw a site on the same loop that would. Made a phone call, and they said go ahead! Close to Tyler which has an interesting inner city road pattern. Visited the Air Memorial Museum and Fort Ford, an old civil war POW Camp. No recycling!
Nice family park. Lots of room at the site. There is poor antenna reception and no cell service for ATT. No WiFi and our air card did not work as well. Lake is very nice but no rentals available. Clean laundry area is available with reasonable prices. It's close to Historic Natchitoches where the movie Steel Magnolias was filmed. Has a beautiful downtown, front street area. Not a destination park, unless you want to bring your boat and fish.
This is a wonderful State Park right on Lake Potchartrain. There is a bicycle trail through the park. It is very family friendly. The new bathhouse almost done and will have AC! As previously stated, they accept the Senior Pass for Ntl Parks which saves 50% on nightly cost. It is convenient to New Orleans. There is no recycle available.
Rate is PA. We had reservations at Juniper Lake but they did not save a PT site for us so they arranged for us to go to Sunset King. The after hours person made us feel so welcome and made sure we got into a very nice PT site. Clean CG with a great restaurant for a quick breakfast before you take off in the AM. Would definitely stay here again. They take PA, GS and Military discounts.
Full-hook ups are way up on a hill with very tight roads in RV area. "Pull-Thru" were not really that. Sights very unlevel. TV antenna excellent. Great view from top of mountain! Deer seen nightly. Staff seemed disorganized. Most of 22 full-hook-ups had permanent weekenders in them. No laundry facilities. Rally area at bottom had no sewer hook-ups, no trees, no designated site. Golf course right next door. Trails available. Nice location.
Great park except very narrow winding roads for big rigs. We total 62' with our towed trailer and had difficulty maneuvering the road to our site. 6 Pull thrus relatively level on side of hill. Roomy sites. Rustic. Great location - historic area. Gorge is awesome. Very helpful, friendly staff. FREE laundry. Good antenna reception and excellent water pressure. Secure.
We stayed in the RV Park and had the largest pad we have ever had in our 2 years of traveling. Room for our motorhome and our towed trailer with room to spare both lengthwise and widthwise. it's close to commissary and PX. Putting in a new laundry facility that wasn't quite finished when we left. Water pressure excellent. AT&T Air card worked well. Location excellent. Not many trees for shade. Plenty of room between sites.
Okay for overnight. Easy access from I-75. Free Wi-Fi worked good. It was quiet and office staff was helpful. Lots of seasonals. Water pressure was excellent. Accepted AAA discount. Antenna reception good.
Beautifully treed park; 12 miles off the hiway. Very spacous; good roads; plenty of space between sites. Unfortunately, in late May, the gnats were terrible and could not stay outside. Could not even leave door open as they came in thru the screen!. Great family spot. We stayed one night on our way up north. Being retire military we enjoyed hearing taps in the evening and reveille in the morning!
Excellent park. Clean, well groomed. Owners were working hard to do yard maintenance as rain let up for a few hours! Friendly staff. Good sized sites; wonderfully clean rest rooms and laundry. No trees in the pull thru area. Paved roads thru-out park; highly recommend this park; it is off the highway but easy to get to. Wifi and cable TV worked well. Would definitely stay here again.
An okay park for a "base camp". No frills. Gravel sites and roads. Part of the Fickler Oil Company; not very scenic area. Very friendly lady working the office. Large sites; easy to move around. Wifi and cable worked well inspite of bad weather.
Friendly owner; wet site due to rain. Cold and windy. Showers clean and heated; nice laundry. Wifi worked good. Cable intermittent (bad weather). Sites large and enough room to navigate. Nice place to stay to visit sites in area.
Excellent park! A little more than I like to spend - this was the GS rate! However, the showers were awesome; heated! It was cold, windy and raining but gravel sites were not soggy. Restaurants close by. Camp store has tourist items; great sale (got some T-shirts!). Owner and wife were wonderful. Nice laundry. Lots to do in area. Would recommend this park, and would definitely stay here again.
PA rate. Unfortunately, it was cold, raining and very foggy, making it difficult to find this out of the way, on a dirt road camp ground. Ground was very wet. Parked us in "squishy" grass for 3 nights even tho there were some gravel sites avail. Friendly staff. WiFi was intermittent. No trees. Nice laundry facility. We visited the area and this was an okay campground for that.
Very nice, clean. Friendly owner. It was very windy and cold during our one night stay. Office was also a "junk store" and found a very nice piece of glassware! Laundry small but inexpensive; $1.50 to wash; .75 to dry! Great for an overnight stay.
This is just a large parking lot behind the famous Lambert's cafe. There was no one in the "office" when we arrived and no one showed up the 2 nights we stayed. There are no bathrooms and no showers. Full hook up. No cable. No Wifi. You put your fee in an envelope and dropped in a slot and pick out a spot. No grass. No trees. Overpriced for what you get! Okay for an overnight stay but nothing else.
Very clean; easy off and on; close to Springfield Lincoln sites; gravel lots, large pull-thrus. Lots of rules! Friendly staff. A little pricey since there is no cable, and the pool was not open yet. Parts store on site helpful as we had a need for a part and they had it! Would stay again.
Accepted PA. We stayed 6 nights. A "parking lot" but very nice gravel lots that are level. Small area of red rocks with a new tree between lots. Very clean. Had access to pool at hotel as well as hot tub. Laundry room excellent. Bathrooms and showers very modern. Would recommend for those visiting the Canyon. Nice playground for children. Grocery store 1/4 mile away.
Accepted Rec USA; $2 extra for grand-daughter. gravel lots - very plain. Nice host. Lot has no picnic table or grass. Due to being at 6500 feet above sea level and still freezing at night, we had to disconnect our water hose at night. No pool. No playground. No frills. Clean and quiet. Train near by that we heard about once every hour.
Great size. Large wide lots. Right next door to Wal-Mart. Pool not open yet Host not very personable. Not very busy as park just opened for the season. Cold and windy. Near 287 but not much noise from highway. Would stay here again.
RV Park was actually a "parking lot" behind the office of a mobile home community. Office was not open even though arrived before stated time of office closure. No grass. Pull-thru long enough for our 60' rig, but so close to neighbor that it was uncomfortable. Bathrooms and showers required a door code. Dumpster hard to locate. Swimming pool was closed. Would not stay here again for that price. Should be $15.00 or less a night.
