Nice big, level concrete sites. Very clean restroom and shower. Good Wi-Fi and cable TV. I would definitely stay here again. Unfortunately, the clerk that checked us in said the owner was closing the park on Feb 1st. Hope they keep it open as it was a great place for us to stay.
We arrived about 7 PM, few sites to choose from. The 3 way sites available were very short, even for our 25' motorhome. We chose a 2 way site, no cable TV at the 2 way sites. All sites were $42.00 per night (2 way sites included one free use of dump station). Site was not level. Bathrooms were modern, had lots of hot water, were clean with pay showers. Did not have any problem with Wi-Fi. Compared to what we had been paying on our trip, seemed a little pricey for amenities. It is definitely close to downtown. Not sure I would stay here again.
What a nice park. Sites are wide, you don't feel like you are on top of your neighbor. Good Wi-Fi, good cable TV. Sites were gravel and level. Bathrooms were clean and bright. Price was very reasonable compared to what we paid at other parks. Good view of the Fortress across the bay. Owners and staff were very cordial and helpful. We went to the their beggars feast and had a great time. They have period dress for attendees and staff, an individual playing music, and good food (basically a lobster dinner, soup, salad, veggies and dessert with other entrees available). The owner was dressed as a wench and comes around each table to entertain. I would like to stay longer but we need to move on. Entrance to the Fort's Visitor Center is very close to the park.
Site was very tight with side by side hookups. Wi-Fi was nonexistent. I even went to their "Wi-Fi lounge" (which consisted of a bunch of lawn chairs) above the office and still could not get a signal. There were other campers in the lounge who also could not get a signal. One of the workers came in and said the system was old, an antenna was broken, etc. Showers and toilets were dirty. Shower areas were very small. I definitely would not stay there again.
Very nice campground, pretty good site space between campers. Some sites had grass and trees. Our site was level. Showers and toilet area were very clean and looked new. WiFi worked very well: there was more than one site to try depending where you were located in the park. Campground was located far enough from the interstate that we didn't hear traffic noise. We would definitely stay here again.
Kakabeka Falls is a nice park. Restrooms and showers were clean. The 30 amp service pole was far enough away from our motorhome that I had to use an extension cord. A little pricey at $47.00 for only electric hookups.
We stayed at this campground for the advertised "Ltd Internet" so we could check our emails while touring Canada. Found out "Ltd Internet" means driving about 10 minutes to a Safeway parking lot and using our computer in the lot. They said they never had internet service at the park. Roads were pot holed, site was waterlogged from recent rains. Shower stalls were old and small, men's bathroom really showed its wear.
