The place is clean, clean, clean. Not that that means they landscape it to death. If you're a birder (if you're an Australian a "twitcher") it's a good high-country place to bird. Gotta river, have warblers, flycatchers, Leweis's Woodpeckers, and at this time of year, tons-o-hummers. Aside from a skunk strolling by an hour or so ago, no worries. Would some back. Nice place.
If you have kids, this would be the place for you. They have a pool, bikes, etc. If you want quiet, this isn't the best park as it's screaming kid-ville. Nice park if you don't mind lots of activity. Maybe quieter on a non-holiday week.
The setting was great. The Wi-Fi didn't work. The setting was great. The showers barely worked. The setting was great. The sites were not level. The setting was great. The park was not well laid out. The setting was great. I'm surprised it's still in the KOA system.
The park is well run and in a spectacular spot. My only gripe is virtually NO water pressure in the showers. The hot water takes a while and when it finally arrives, it dribbles out. Maybe the men's shower have pressure, but the women's do not.
It's Clovis, so it's hard to expect trees, mountain views, a lake, etc. But the management is very good, the showers are excellent, and it's worth it to see the fattest cat I've ever seen. The woman checking us in wrote out the receipt using the cat as a desk. The cat might have minded, but that would have involved movement.
This was the most wonderful RV park we've ever stayed at! Their theme is bluegrass music. Saturdays in the winter anyway, a bunch of residents and locals play bluegrass all day and most of the evening. It's too far off the beaten track to have too many people. And if you're more than 20 feet from the place they're playing, you can't hear them, so if you want quiet it is. Geezer, it's a great place and the management couldn't be more friendly. (and some sing)
First you have to pay the park entrance fee, THEN you pay another 25 for a site. THEN when you try to use the showers, the water runs cold. It's a newish park, so what's with the shoddy upkeep? Nice setting, but also - it's at the high end of prices for electric only, no hot water. Humph!
It is a lovely small park in a very lovely place-Scarborough marsh. The "adult" part of the park is because they don't have any kid facilities-playgrounds etc, not that they hate kids. Has all the stuff, cable, strong wifi, good showers, not to mention ducks. Their sign says a "fine adult rv park." I asked the friendly manager if I was required to be fine to stay here. Tee hee. She said not fine was fine.
The site was pretty but facilities were run down. The managers/owners were virtually never there. There was a reasonable enough sign in the bathroom saying "please help keep the bathroom clean as we cannot clean after every use." But my reaction was, can't you clean EVER?
It's a very pretty and (except for the showers) well maintained park. BUT at a premium price for RV, they charge extra for Wi-Fi and the showers are a quarter for 4 minutes, 2 of which of course the water is cold. The showers have too little space, not enough hooks to hang up your stuff, etc. Why such a potentially great place cheap out on the showers, and the Wi-Fi thing is very annoying, I do not understand. They seem to do 90% of it right but the 10% they don't is stupid and irritating.
