Great camping experience. The owner and his staff are friendly and visible throughout the campground. Weekend activities are tons fun but the campground gets quiet by quiet time. Organized activities include pot lucks, trivia, bingo, fireworks, and pool games for both kids and adults. There is also ping pong, basketball, shuffle board, paddle boats, etc; the panfish are always biting and sometimes a large bass or something. There is no swimming in the lake but the pool is very nice and open 10-10. Cabins are available too which are very nice, new, and overlook the water. Great place to bring the family. We have been here many times and will return again soon.
First the good: large park with lots of amenities, well maintained except see below. There is a very large pool, mini golf, arcade, etc. Now the BAD: There were MANY uncapped sewer hookups at near-by campsites. The stench made it nearly impossible to be outside at our campsite. The pool and store hours were only from noon - 8pm. This made it really hard to use the store and buy a golf ball needed for mini-golf. We expected generous pool hours like most campgrounds given the high rate. The hours were not posted on web site so we were surprised. They also allow day passes to the pool for non-campers. The internet is through a third party. It worked fine but only works for ONE computer at a time and is expensive ($5 per day). Finally, there is really only 1 lake plus a series of ditches with water. There is no swimming allowed in the lake. Fine if you like the quiet and want to stay in your camper.
It is a nice park, great pool area, with lots of activities. The owner really enjoys interacting with the guests and conducts many of the activities himself. Fishing is good (pan fish). It has a nice playground, horseshoes, shuffle board, and basketball. We stay in an RV but the cabins are really outstanding. We will definitely camp here again!
This park is very well maintained. The owners were helpful and very friendly. The Wi-Fi was solid. The cable TV offered a lot of stations and was included free. Nicest, cleanest bath house and laundry facility we have ever seen. The campground is located in a rural area with great access to the Smokey Mountains unlike other area campgrounds which were in town. The pool and hot tub area was closed because we were there in early spring but it looks very nice.
This campground could be better maintained. It is not kid friendly at all. The owners seem to dislike children and maybe people in general. There is significant road noise from I-40 but otherwise it is a peaceful setting. Don't bother to bring your golf clubs, it really isn't playable.
