This campground, I wish, was closer to where I live. I would come here every year then. Unfortunately, it's over 1600kms away. The owners are extremely friendly, from the parents to their kids (adults). Sites were clean and quiet. We camped up the street at a campground which I was so happy to leave after 1 night. The owners here found us a site for the remainder of our stay. They were helpful and knowledgeable on what we should see and do. The restaurant was great to have next to the office. After travelling the Cabot Trail or going to Louisbourg, coming back to cook was too late and the restaurant was open til 9pm. Great food and again friendly service. I can go on and on with great things to say about this campsite. Thanks owners for your hospitality. I will definitely recommend this campground to anyone..
Good campground to stay. Staff is friendly. Sites are clean but somewhat too close to one another. Can hear traffic from the highway but not that bad. I would possibly stay here again. Washrooms were clean and private. Having the new jumping pillow was a great hit with the kids.
According to the website for this campsite, I was very disappointed with what we got. Our site was less than 100ft from the highway. The only nature we heard were the 18 wheelers zooming by and at night, the neighbor motorhome owner snoring. That's how close we were to the next site. The pool has been broken for a while, not what the kids wanted to hear, and the beach is rocky. They cannot play on that. The kid's park looked scarey (looks like a park from a horror movie). One thing I do have to say is the staff were friendly. Once I arrived I wanted to leave but they already charged me a deposit of $50, so I had to stay 1 night, then went down the street for the next 3 nights. One of the staff members did help with what we need to see and do (in one way after talking to her, I felt guilty that I was leaving the next day but after hearing the nature that night, I was gone by 9:30am). This site would be OK if you are retired and have a motorhome (nothing else) and need to stay 1 night. Sorry owners.
