Gravel parking lot, no fires allowed, pull through sites with minimal leveling required. Electric service (30 amp). Owners/office staff very friendly. Extremely noisy from interstate traffic and truckers engine braking on exit ramp (the campground is right off the exit ramp). Many short term people in campground due to harvesting time. Would only stay here again if necessary for an overnight stop.
Great office staff and clean restrooms/showers. Laundry on site $2.00/wash, $1.75 for 44 minutes in dryer. Sites are VERY close, almost on top of each other (which is why we only rated it a 6). Just enough room for our RV on site, picnic table sits over next site's water & sewer hookup. Next site fire ring was at rear corner of our RV. Requires some leveling. No cable, no antennae reception. Wi-Fi worked very well. Some road noise. Close proximity to Mt. Rushmore (20 min drive), Custer State Park (a must do), Jewel Cave and Wind Cave. Great little town with plenty of eateries and tourist attractions. Baker's Bakery Cafe makes GREAT breakfast and donuts! Would consider another campground on our next trip here.
This is a parking lot with a patch of grass and occasional pine tree. Hard sided units only. Double wide sites to park RV/Camper and vehicle. No cell service, no atennae reception. Checkin staff was friendly. Showers are pay. Very busy and full with 1-2 day campers. Must have water regulator adapter as water psi is 100 - must have screw cap sewer connector. Bison walk through campsite. We chose this campground for full hookups and central location to see all of Yellowstone. We stayed here for 4 days. Trail to general store from campground (which has groceries, gas, snack bar and everything else you may need). Gas station on site 4.09 for regular unleaded!! RV and care repair on site. Lots of mosquitos in evening.
Only has 20 amp service - make sure you bring a adapter or they sell them for a few dollars in camp store. Excellent service from camp manager who greeted us and took us to our site and made sure we were all set up and power, water, etc. worked. Pull through sites pretty level, gravel with grass, pine trees. Very quiet with clean showers and restrooms. Camp store on site with all necessities, on-site cabins and restaurant. Close to Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park. This was our favorite campground during a 2 week travel through Wyoming and South Dakota.
Great campground with beautiful views, very quiet. Large pull through sites or back in, level. Tent pads and fire rings are best we've seen. Staff very friendly. Restrooms, showers and laundry are spotless. Great place for single track mountain biking. 3G service with AT&T on our cell.
Excellent park, quiet, well spaced sites with tree privacy. Minimal leveling on the pea gravel. Great sandy beaches on the river. Bathroom and showers were spotless. Campground host very friendly. Gate closes at 5pm. Call mid afternoon to get code if you are checking in late.
Very high nightly rate. Campsites are right on top of each other. Pull through sites are gravel, needed leveling and situated in front of the store making you feel like you were camping in a parking lot. Only good benefit: it was close to Chattanooga, Tennesee and Look Out Mountain attractions. Otherwise, would not recommend as a get away for "camping".
We camped here in a 30 foot RV with tow vehicle. No hookups at all. Recommend you disconnect if entering at Thornton Gap and heading to Big Meadows. If towing it's a very steep and windy, up hill route. Pay showers are $1.00 for 5 minutes, very clean. Very quiet, with cooler weather then down in valley. Cannot bring firewood in, must purchase it here.
Nice NY State Park on Keuka Lake. Great playground for younger kids. Multiple tents camping on one site creats a large group of people which are not well regulated by park staff. Dogs are not maintained on their leashes as in the rules. Quiet hours are not observed by numerous campers while we were here. Very wet and soggy sites when it rains.
Very beautiful campground, family friendly. This was our 2nd time camping here, this time we choose a site near the creek. Clean, quiet, and relaxing. We will definitely return here again and again. Warning: the road to enter the park is a dirt road that is narrow and winds through the woods. We did not have any difficulty navigating through with our 30 foot RV while towing.
A beautiful campground, very quiet, large spacious sites along lake. Paved sites very level with full hook-ups. Shade trees, bath house had laundry facilities. Nice hiking trails, bike paths. Marina store close by for ice, groceries.
We reserved this site on-line unaware that there is not any water hook-ups except for a few limited sites. Lots of families-can be noisy at times. Graveled pull-thru site or back in sites with graveled picnic table area.
Very loud and noisy campground with numerous kids/dogs running around. Sites are very close to each other. Campground is adjacent to a small amusement park that connects to the campground and is open until 11pm on weekend nights. This was a very expensive campground, friendly staff, expensive store, ice cream parlor and pizza shack. They want to charge an additional $3.00 per night if you want to use your A/C even when paying $57.00/night for full hook-ups.
Great friendly, quiet campground. No paved or graveled sites, you park on the grass and need to do some leveling. Bath house and showers are very clean. Water was a little rusty. Road to get down into campsite is dirt and windy through the woods. We had a great time, lots of open space and friendly campers. They also have a store with essential supplies, novelty foods and information.
Some shaded sites, not very level near the lake. Other sites with no shade, all grass and gravel out along the enter/entrance loop road. Water connection was a major problem and the water faucet is shared between 2 campsites which can be spaced fairly far apart. Bring lots of hose with you and know which side your hook-up is on. It took 30 minutes changing sites just to find one to accommodate our RV hookup and lack of significant lengthy hoses.
Full hook up sites lined up along road adjacent to river. Close together, level but very wet and muddy with rain. We were evacuated in the early morning due to rain the day before and the river rising. Grassy, tall trees for shade.
Spacious sites, all sites do not have electric and water, the sites that do are marked with an E in front of their #. Un-level sites required a lot of leveling. Very desert climate and surroundings, no trees, hot and windy. Closest store for ice/milk is 15 miles. Headquarters closes at 4:45, first come, first serve for site assignment.
