This is a beautiful resort. It's right along the lake/river and we decided to pay the $10 extra for a view of the water! All the sites are easy to enter and to leave. Folks in the office were efficient and pleasant. The grounds are well manicured and lots of flowers and plants make it even nicer. Chairs are lined along the water front so that on a warm, sunny day guests have a fine place from which to sit and enjoy sunshine and the views. Many boats are in the area and many of the campers brought along their own boats. We would visit the place again.
This park is just behind the Days Inn Motel. We had a difficult time reaching the RV Park by phone. The Motel handles all the phone calls and one pays the RV fee in the Motel office. Gal at the desk was very pleasant and helpful. Site was easy to reach and easy to depart. There was a wedding at the on-site facility, but the folks attending the reception seemed aware of the presence of RVs. A nice site for a couple of nights. We drove the short distance from the park to the historic part of town (downtown historic area as well as historic home area close by). This park is close to Interstate 90 and made the stop easy. We would stay here again.
We paid $44 last night to stay in a private RV park in the area. We thought the $50.95 for here was a bit steep. However, comparing the two, the extra money to stay at this KOA is well worth the increased cost. The folks in the office are fantastic. We called in our reservation this morning, but when we arrived (before the 2:00 check-in) it didn't show on their computer. Even so the staff was so helpful, friendly, caring, etc., etc., that we consider ourselves lucky to have found this place. The bathrooms are spotless (and there's more in addition to the ones located close to the office). Don't know if this is new or not, but they serve breakfast in the mornings (don't know cost, but what a nice feature!) It's raining, so no swimming for us, but the pool looks clean. Finally, I LOVE all the flowers at the entrance and the interesting articles for sale in the store. Five stars from us!
This park is close to the Interstate, and easy to enter and leave. The owner was particularly friendly and made us feel welcome. The place is well taken care of: lots of new plantings. Lake Katherine is in the park and one can fish if they want. Two pools are on the park, and several "picnic" areas are available for guests. The office is particularly inviting, as is the front porch of the office; rocking chairs and all. We enjoyed a one night stay here and would come again. All employees were very friendly and helpful.
