This is a very old state park. The camping spaces are very close together, we were able to open our slide but not our awning because of the trees being so close. The garbage drums were full when we got there, they were still not emptied 5 days later when we left. I looked in the ladies shower room and it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a while. This is a pretty park, I'm sorry to say it looked neglected.
We camped here the last weekend before school starts in southern MS so the park was full. Our 4 year old granddaughter was the only child in the section we were in though. She enjoyed fishing (playing with the worms) and splashing around on the beach. Our golden retriever enjoyed swimming in the lake too :) There are 2 beaches, several places to fish. The boating people are kept well away from the beach and fishing area. The people who run the park were helpful and pleasant.
