Packed sand roads, grass/sand sites. Our site was among many tall pines. It’s very rustic with few amenities but pleasant. The manager was extremely nice and helpful. We were in a long pull through that easily accommodated our total 60’ length with some room to spare. Long term and permanent residents, a few mobile homes. I would not recommend this park for children. Cash or check only, no credit cards. Check out time 11am. Rate reflects Escapees discount. Price is too high for this type of park, we probably will not stay here again. No Wi-Fi.

This is a wonderful, rustic, “Old Florida”, park! Very clean and well maintained while keeping as much of the native foliage and trees as realistically possible. Trees with Spanish moss, palmetto palms, and wild shrubbery throughout the park. Packed sand interior roads. Sand, grass, and pea gravel sites, mostly sand. We required an extra long pull through and they had one available. There are not many pull through sites but truly the best sites are the pull in back out sites directly on the river. Very quiet, almost silent at night. It was not crowded when we were there but I would imagine it fills up in the summer. Once you turn off SR349 on to a packed sand road, the road narrows drastically so be prepared. Pristine clean laundry, 6 washers/6 dryers, $1.50 each. We were here two nights but we will most definitely return and stay longer. If you prefer city camping in a park with no trees and your rig on concrete, this place is not for you. Daily rates, tax included, at the time of our stay: Super Deluxe Riverfront $49, Deluxe Riverfront $44, Deluxe Riverview $39, Premium Off Riverfront $34. Rates are for 2 people, each additional person, including children over 1 year old, $6/night. Pets are an additional $2/night/pet. Weekly and monthly rates are less per night. Check out time 12 PM. No cell phone service with AT&T. Free Wi-Fi at site and it worked very well.

Actually not a bad place for such a remote Texas location. The sites are long and not too close together. Each site has a small concrete pad and small wood table. The park is clean. Laundry: 3 washers, 4 dryers, $1.50 each. The park is located between the interstate, with a high volume of truck traffic, and the railroad, with frequent trains, it is very noisy. The park was offering a special: stay 2 nights and get the 3rd night free.. We would stay here again only for an overnight stop. Free Wi-Fi but very weak and slow.

This park is not for everyone since it’s small, older, remote, and rugged with no recreational facilities such as a pool or playground. I would not recommend this park for children. Some sites have 50amp connections but not all of them worked when we were there. The sites are long and wide gravel/grass. Most sites have a large picnic table. A single small building houses the bathrooms/showers, laundry, kitchen, and a small sitting area. All were very neat and clean. There’s 1 washer and 1 dryer, $1.00 each. A code is required to enter the building to access the facilities. The park is very dark at night. If you want activity, stay somewhere else. If you want peace and quiet with a beautiful view, this is the place! Very nice owners. Located 6 miles south of Alpine on Texas 118 so it’s away from town but not too far. We had no cell phone service with AT&T. We would definitely stay here again. Free Wi-Fi with a low signal strength but a very steady connection.

A desert parking lot. All gravel, no grass, few trees. Sites are a little farther apart than other RV parks but sill close together. Ask for a long pull-through if you have a big rig. Easy access on/off I-10. Close to interstate so expect road noise depending on the wind direction. No Wi-Fi at campsite.

A little difficult to find, call ahead and obtain clear instructions. It is not well marked. The park was larger and more crowded than expected. Fair, gravel, very wide, interior roads. We were told the pull through sites were large enough but our rig was too long to park within the space and connect to the sewer. The park policies state RV’s older than 15 years need pre-approval before entering the park, however, it doesn’t appear that any rules relating to aesthetics are enforced. Many long term residents with an accumulation of junk around their RV’s. Good for overnight only. No amenities at site such as concrete pad or table but the sites are wide enough for an awning or slides. Sites are grass/gravel and the park is not well maintained. No trees. Quiet, except for an occasional train, country setting. No lights throughout the park so it’s very dark at night. Too many dogs not on a leash. Convenient to Houston but outside of the city congestion. Free Wi-Fi but did not have a stable connection. Would consider staying here again only for the convenient proximity to Houston.

Nice place with picnic table, grill, and fire ring at each site. Wood available for sale at the office for $5.00 per bundle. Extremely nice folks in the office. Gravel and grass sites with full hookups; some of the pull through sites are large enough to accommodate any size rig. Easy access, not too difficult to maneuver a big rig. Road noise is bothersome in this peaceful, wooded setting, but it’s not too bad. The historic site of the Goliad Massacre is a short distance away and is a must see. Small park, call ahead for reservations, especially when there’s an event in Goliad, the park fills up fast. We will definitely return. Weak connection to AT&T. No Wi-Fi.

If you’re arriving at night, watch carefully for the entrance, we passed it by 30 feet and had to back up. Very peaceful. Gravel/grass sites with picnic table. Site was long enough for our rig but the sewer hose would not reach. Very weak AT&T connection. No Wi-Fi.

Gravel road, grass sites. Park perimeter is trees and barbed wire fence, it feels like parking in a pasture or grassy field, only with hookups. Sites are wide enough for slides but still close together. The pull through sites are very long and easily accommodated our 60 foot length. Very few trees in the park. The park is on Hwy 98 so there’s some road noise. No picnic table or pad. Rustic but pleasant. A great park to “do nothing” or as a base to visit Foley and Gulf Shores. Very nice, helpful owner. Rate reflects PA discount. For the price and relaxation, we may return. No Wi-Fi.

Within sight and walking distance of the Judge Roy Bean Visitor Center. Self check in. No office, just a board with instructions and a box to deposit your money. I wouldn’t call it a park, this is a gravel parking lot with 6 full hook ups (30 amp). No fence or barriers so the old buildings are only about 30 feet away which is a nice touch if you enjoy ghost towns. No showers, toilets, laundry or any facilities, not even a dumpster. Sites are back in only. Easy access. Very interesting and quiet town. I’m glad we decided to stay. I would recommend this to anyone who arrives after the Visitor Center is closed but plans to see it in the morning. Off highway 90, follow signs to Visitor Center, eastbound-turn right before the post office/general store, westbound-turn left past general store, sites are on the right about 50 yards from the post office. If there’s no RV’s staying, it’s a little hard to see immediately. Look for a couple of picnic tables and the white lattice work around the electric meters. To the left, behind the Torres building, is dry camping at the Community Center with a $2 donation requested. No cell phone service with AT&T. Free Wi-Fi at site by connecting to the Texas Travel Information Center system.

SKP members only park. Located 6 miles west of Hondo on the south side of Hwy 90. Beware, there’s absolutely no signs indicating location or where to turn so watch for a small sign for CR422. The park is very clean and neat with a great clubhouse and laundry facilities. Sites are 70’ long by 50’ wide and each is different with the leaseholders own type of 288 sq ft maximum building and various types of landscaping. The layout and appearance is very similar to the SKP park in Benson, AZ. They do not permit check-in after 5pm so be sure to arrive in enough time to check-in and be parked by 5pm. Cash or check only, no credit or debit cards. The ground is very soft and boards are required to be under the jacks. The park provided us boards but they didn’t hold and the jacks sunk in the ground so they moved us to another site. If you’re heavy, ask for a site with a concrete pad. Everyone at this park was extremely nice, friendly, and pleasant. We will most definitely return.

Located 12 miles off I-30 and 10 miles from the historic business district of Hot Springs. The short road leading to the campground is a steep climb with turns. Big rigs should watch for and heed the “swing wide” signs leading up to the park. This is a very nice, clean, well maintained park with beautiful views. The interior road is paved and the sites are gravel. Each site has a nice picnic table. Long pull-throughs and enough room between sites to enjoy the outdoors. The park has a very nice recreation building with an outside deck and chairs and picnic tables to enjoy. The laundry room is small with 2 washers and 2 dryers. Very quiet and peaceful setting. Super courteous and friendly management. We will definitely stay here again.

Long pull-throughs can accommodate big rigs. Easy access off I-10. Tall pines. Very quiet. Grass/dirt sites. Mediocre picnic tables. Sites are extremely tight. If we had our awning out it would have touched our neighbors slide on their coach. This is not a comfortable park for outdoor activities at your site since the sites are so close together. We could easily hear our neighbors moving around in their coach and there‘s very little space for chairs outside. Free Wi-Fi, however, it’s slow. Costco, Wal-Mart, and Publix within minutes of the park. Probably will not stay here again.

This is not the greatest park and we will not stay here again. The sites are extremely close together with barely enough room to step outside your door. Although they put us in a site supposed to be long enough to accommodate our coach and tow vehicle, we were actually in the road at the front and the back. The sites are gravel with slippery, muddy, grass between sites. Nice metal picnic tables but there’s not a picnic table at every site. It would be impossible to have a table at every site, there’s not enough room. Free WiFi but a very slow connection. On the positive side, the manager was very nice.

Fabulous location for shopping, dining, and sightseeing. Located in a very nice part of town. Good location for big rigs. Sites are long and wide. Paved interior roads, gravel sites, and a large concrete pad and picnic table. Trees galore. Very helpful and friendly management. Traffic noise is minimal except for rush hour. A surprisingly secluded park in the middle of the city. We will definitely return.

We will never stay here again unless we have no choice. There’s nothing wrong with a profit and this park looks like a money making operation for the owner. The goal seems to be to squeeze as many RV’s as possible in to the park, at the highest fee, and offer no aesthetic value. It’s a dirt parking lot with minimal amount of space between vehicles. There’s not enough room to comfortably have chairs outside and with all the noise from the interstate it’s very unpleasant to be outside, or inside for that matter. There’s no picnic table at the site and not enough room to pull out the awning. If the Passport America rate was in effect year round it might be a consideration just to save money for an overnight stay, however, the PA rate is not available all year. The pull throughs are almost long enough but anyone with a super long rig would have problems. We are about 60’ total length including the vehicle on the tow dolly and we just fit with no extra room. Free Wi-Fi but very weak.

I don’t know why others have rated this park 10/10 but it is a nice park with exceptionally helpful and friendly management. The roads are wide and the sites are large enough to accommodate a big rig with a tow vehicle. The picnic tables are set on a concrete pad but not situated such that they are under the awning. The rigs are parked on gravel sites with a small grass area between sites. Full concrete pads and a convenient picnic table location would bring the rating higher. The picnic tables are in an awkward location and only about 3 feet from the neighbors rig. The grounds are well maintained but no trees for shade. Depending on the wind direction it’s very noisy with traffic from the interstate and it never stops. Even with the A/C running, the sound of big trucks zooming down the highway is continuous. There’s very little to do nearby as far as restaurants, shopping, or sightseeing. Free Wi-Fi with a fast connection. We would probably return for an overnight stay since it is very convenient, easy access for a big rig, and a clean, well maintained park.

This is an Escapees membership Rainbow Park. Fantastic park if you do not have slides and can select a site with the covered picnic table sitting on a large concrete slab. Otherwise, the pull through sites without picnic tables are not pleasant and way too close together, although the pull through sites are very easy to maneuver with a big rig. The pull in back out sites have a concrete slab with a picnic table and adequate space between sites. The entire park is pea gravel, no grass or trees, with no designation or barriers between sites. The camp host is very pleasant and friendly. There’s not much in Pecos and no activities at the park so if you’re looking for a place to rest and do nothing, arrive early and select a site with the covered picnic table and relax. They do have a Sunday evening ice cream social. Bathroom/showers are not private but very clean. Clubhouse is in an older mobile home. Small laundry, 4 washers and 4 dryers, $1.00 each. There’s a very clean Laundromat (Fun Wash) in town with an attendant and drop off laundry service. Alfredo’s restaurant offers Mexican and American food and there’s also a small Wal-Mart in town. Easy access off I-20 but far enough off the interstate to mitigate some of the traffic noise. Surrounded by public golf course, small airport, city park, open prairie, and hotel, non of which is close enough, except the open prairie, to be noticeable. Wi-Fi is through Tengointernet for a fee.

Not much of a park for anything other than a place to park for the night. The park is located just off the interstate so the road noise is constant. Gravel sites, some sites are large enough for big rigs, some picnic tables. Most sites are very close together. Sitting in a chair with the back of the chair against the coach, my knees were five feet from the truck beside us. We would only stay here again only if something happened, and we couldn’t travel farther. Free WiFi with a very unstable connection.

The park’s property is on highway 65 and 82. The pull-through sites are more than adequate to accommodate a large rig with the only drawback in a few cases would be the pecan trees may hinder the position of an awning or slide. However, the majority of the sites will not cause a problem. The roads are gravel and the sites are dirt/grass with a picnic table at each site. The road noise may be a bother to some since the park fronts the highway. The staff is friendly and the park is clean. Nothing fancy here, just an easy access park and a nice place to stay while passing through. We would stay again. For a little entertainment, Harlow’s Resort and Casino in Greenville, MS is about a 15 minute drive from the park.

We stayed one night. This is a quaint little campground for those who like to fish or be on the water among the tall pines. The waterfront sites are the back in type and big enough to accommodate a larger rig with slides. Interior sites are extremely short and narrow. We were provided an interior pull-through which is the equivalent of 2 sites to accommodate the MH and tow dolly. Friendly management and friendly campers. It's an older park with gravel roads and sand/grass sites. There is a picnic table at each site. Water front sites are shaded with beautiful water view. We would stay here again. Be sure to call ahead to secure a large enough space if needed. If you enjoy a little adventure, local flair, and a taste of “Old Florida”, take about a 20 mile drive to Spring Creek Restaurant, you will not be disappointed.

Excellent choice for an overnight stay. Small park with easy access and long, level, pull-throughs. Not much space between sites and no trees but a very nice place. The sites are grass/gravel with a picnic table. The best part for us was the shuttle to/from Lambert’s Café. No need to unhitch the tow vehicle! We would stay here again.

Called ahead to reserve a site for one night and arrived in the dark and pouring rain. A very nice person met us at the entrance to guide us to our site. Not as easy as it sounds since the park is very small with narrow roads, tight turns, and speed humps that will jar your false teeth right out of your mouth. We have a 38ft MH pulling a tow dolly with a former semi truck driver at the wheel. The driver is experienced with maneuvering a large rig in tight situations but could not make a turn in the park without unloading the car off the tow dolly. The problem is not necessarily the layout of the park but the vehicles parked in the grass area along the road way. One vehicle in the way created a situation whereby the rig could not swing wide enough. We probably won’t stay here again only for that reason, it’s too risky to try to bring a big rig in to the park. Otherwise, this is a very nice park with concrete roadways and pads, well taken care of, friendly staff, on site miniature golf, a pretty lake, nice pool, separate laundry room, cute rental cabins and a small play area for the children. The negatives, in addition to the tight turn are no trees, sites are very close together, and the storage area looks like a junk yard. For assistance at night, finding the place is not easy either so look for the electric substation on the left and the small (tiny) red and white sign on the right hand side of the road. Turn left on Parker just past the substation on to a narrow two lane residential street with no shoulders. The park is about a quarter mile on the left.

This park is located away from the strip, off a less traveled road but extremely convenient to Branson Landing and the activities of Branson. If you’re an Escapees member or a full timer, you will enjoy this park for your stay in Branson. Although the sites are close together and it’s a small park, the pull-through sites are long enough to accommodate a coach and the tow vehicle with ease. Reservations are not accepted so if you cannot get a pull-through, the back in sites are a little short. The sites are all on a sloping hill but each site is level with a picnic table on a cement pad. The sites are gravel/dirt/grass with many trees but wide enough for slides. There‘s no pool or play area for the children and during our stay it was mostly a mature crowd. I would not recommend this park for children but would recommend it for a quiet stay with friendly folks in Branson.

We stayed one night. Just like camping in someone’s backyard. Easy interstate access and pull-through sites. All grass with a picnic table at each site. Extremely nice management and great cookies! We’ll stay here again. Has a great Mexican restaurant (Los Compadres), every fast food establishment, Wal-Mart, grocery stores, and shopping located about 9 miles north on I-75.

This park has two sections: 1) The Palms (entrance off McIntosh Road), and 2) The Oaks (entrance off Hwy 92). We stayed at The Palms for 30 nights. The negatives were the mosquitoes, no-see-ums, and ants but that is to be expected in Florida. Plenty of shade trees. Sand/grass sites. No concrete pads at the premium or economy sites, only the super sites. The super sites are pull-through, located at the front of the park, apparently intended for short term stays. At the time of this writing, the super sites were $36 per night. Each site has a picnic table. The road noise from I-4 and McIntosh Road is unrelenting at most of the sites but the facility itself is very quiet. McDonald’s, Burger King, and 2 convenience stores are within a reasonable walking distance. Propane delivery to your site is available for a minimal extra charge. Many restaurants are nearby. Three miles west on I-4, exit CR 579: Cracker Barrel, Bob Evans, Flying J. Five miles east on I-4, exit Thonotosassa Road: Applebee’s, Carrabba’s, Outback, Sonny’s, Buddy Freddy, Mi Casa, Subway, Chinese take out. Also a grocery store at this exit. Convenient location to Brandon, Tampa, and Orlando. Exceptionally friendly and courteous manager. Property is well maintained. Paved roads. Easily accommodates big rigs. Decent size sites for city camping. Wi-Fi available through Tengointernet.
