Great place to stay for us as we have family in the area. Pleasant stay out in the country. Owners do all they can to make your stay pleasant. We could not receive satellite due to trees but other than that, it was good. We would definitely stay again in the future.
We had weekly rate. We have family in the Cedar Point area so this was a convenient place for us to stay. Great pool!!! Nice community with room for us who are in and out. We definitely will stay here again in the future.
Large park so you lose the personal touch. Our site was good, but with the rain it was messy a lot. Had to do a lot of cleaning outside just to keep from tracking in so much dirt. Site needed some work (downside to wooded, especially pines, lots). We enjoyed the light show and of course, the ride to the top of the mountain. Watch the pathway if you choose to walk to the top. While we were there several people got off the pathway and got into trouble, fell and had to be hospitalized. Stay on the pathway they have laid out and you will be fine. A great stay if you are there to take advantage of all the things associated with Stone Mountain Park.
We stopped for the night on our way to CA. This is a beautiful park. Wish we had had time to stay longer. The office lady was so nice and helpful. Our spot was perfect. We will definitely stay there again in the future.
Don't miss this great little park!!! We drove in and were quickly invited to a cookout the residents had in progress so our supper was wonderful!!! Great owner does all he can do to make your stay (even a short one) comfortable and pleasant. We loved it here and of course it is close enough to St. Louis to see all you want to see there. We stayed an extra night just to be able to enjoy the park and area. We were on the way to CA. We will certainly stay here in the future.
If you can stay here, please do. This is a wonderful place to be. It is a wooded area but they keep it clean and neat. Ask for a satellite friendly site. Love the way the spots are laid out with plenty of room between units. Of course, there is so much to see in the area so we extended our stay. Will definitely stay here again in the future.
Great stop on our way to CA. This is a clean park. We especially enjoyed the pool and hot tub after several days of travel. The owners are there and do everything they can to make your stay comfortable and pleasant. Plan to have a good meal (reasonable prices) at Colonial Steakhouse right next to campground. We will definitely be back in the future. (The no smoking rules did not bother us at all. It was nice not to have to fight smoke in all the public places!!)
This "best secret in town" is located directly across from the Tiffin RV Service Center which was completely full when we arrived. The couple in the office there told us about them since we were definitely not wanting to dry camp in the back of the parking lot until a space became available. So we went over (the blue building right across the driveway from Tiffin) and talked with the owner. He had a full hookup space available right behind his place of business available for us at the same price that Tiffin charges for their spots (unless you have warranty work done which is $10 per night over there). He had extra equipment available as his hookups are not placed exactly right. They worked fine. Later in the week when they called to let us know there was a spot available for us at Tiffin, we declined because we were very happy with our place. We had plenty of room to spread out; there isa little porch right beside our spot for hanging out, eating, etc. The owner offers full detail services, full service salon (my husband got his hair cut while there), pet grooming (we got our dog's nails trimmed), sub and sandwich shop, and more. It was perfect for us. The gang did everything humanly possible to make our stay for maintenance work at Tiffin as pleasant as that kind of trip can be. So now you know the secret (as we were the first to post here), so I suppose his spots will be full from now on. We will be sure to call ahead and make reservations when we are headed to Red Bay the next time!!
We were here to visit family in nearby Statham. Older campground with tight spaces but it worked for our needs nicely. Office ladies were very nice and helpful. We stayed in Site 64 in "the field" area where all the spaces are 50 amps. We have a 42' with Wingard satellite on top. This space allowed our system to pick up signals with no problem (need clear southern exposure). Very close to busy area off I-85 but far enough away to not be bothered by noise, very quiet and peaceful. We will definitely stay here again when visiting in this area.
Mr. Ramsey works very hard to keep this campground nice. We have a 42' motorhome with Wingard satellite on top. The spot immediately behind the swimming pool (which was opening up in a day or two) accommodated our needs very nicely. Yes, there are a number of permanent residents but we met several very nice folks. Very quiet and peaceful. We were here two nights to visit the Little White House in Warm Springs. We highly recommend that you drive over to Manchester (5 miles away) to shop or eat. Don't miss the cafe buffet restaurant in the downtown area. Their cook is the greatest: home cooking for sure!!
We just love this campground. Nice large concrete pads for our 42' RV. Paved streets with large lots and very convenient to anything you need. Good home cooking available at Crazy Horse nearby. Individual in the office is very helpful. We had a late arrival time so he told us to just go on in and find a place and see him in the morning. A gentleman walking in the park helped us find a good pull-through spot (Site #32). Would like to come back and spend more time. Wish they had reservations. We lucked out this time!
Rate shown is Passport America rate. As an overnight stop, this park was great. Don't hesitate to take one of the nicer spaces on the road; the traffic slows down tremendously at night and was absolutely no bother to us. The spaces toward the back of the park were too wet as they had had rain recently. Walmart and other shopping/restaurants very close by.
This is the best kept secret in town!! I will share with you how to get in. Forget those real estate offices at the front gate! Just park outside the gate and walk in to the bulletin board that is next to the Holiday Out office building just inside the gate. There is also a bulletin board for Venture III straight down that main road (next to the swimming pool with the blue fencing around it). Posted on it you will find the names/phone numbers of owners who are renting their spaces. Our $20 rate reflects the $600 monthly rate we paid. Make sure the length of your rig does not exceed the limits for a space; the owner should know about this but some of them don't. This is an absolutely great place with nice people, and lots of activities if you want that. We would highly recommend it! Dealing with owners directly is the key; those real estate offices charge unbelievable prices for the exact same thing you can get from owners who rent directly!!
This park is a stretch for "RV Resort." Yes, it has a pool. Spots are very tight...you get to know your neighbors real well and fast!! Be careful and make sure you want to stay as long as you pay for: NO REFUNDS for shortening your stay. Extra charge ($1.00 per day) for sites that have cable. Extra charge for 50 amps ($4.50 per day). So by the time you add it all up, about the only thing this "resort" offers is a place close into town and near shopping areas (convenient for us because my sister lives close by). Office staff very nice and helpful. After being in the area a bit, we found other accommodations for a lot less and nicer...in the Jensen Beach area which is also close by.
If you can't tolerate the trains going right through the middle of the park, move on. It didn't bother me at all as I once lived where a train passed by not too far from my house. Otherwise, I would recommend this for a short stay when you need a reasonable place to stay while in the area. There are not a lot of amenities as there are many permanent residents in this park. The management is very helpful and great to deal with. They were very flexible since we were unsure of the amount of time we would be there and worked with us on space as well as price to get the rates for longer term if possible. The spaces in the front are right across the street from the water and there is also a restaurant/bar area with music at night. Again, it didn't bother me but it might bother some people. If you come not expecting a high end park, then you won't be disappointed. Also, we heard that this park might be closing in the next couple of years; they are taking up prime real estate on the water Suspect a high rise condo is in the future!!
This was a great overnight stop on our way to Port St. Lucie. Good Sam price. Nice office folks who led us to our site. Convenient to I-75 but not close enough for the noise to be a bother. Very level grass sites. We will stop here again anytime we need a rest at this point!!
This is a beautiful campground. Office staff very helpful on phone saying that they would make reservations for us. Camp host handled us when we arrived after office hours (very nice and helpful lady). Beautiful scenery; waterfront/beach area just a short walk from our site #45. Will even allow dogs on the beach. You clean up behind them of course Beautiful sunset. We were only here for one night passing through but we have put this down as a place to come and stay awhile.
Our second stay at this great RV park! Passport America rate. Sites 25 & 26 are great sites (pull through sites and on the lake), usually reserved for one-nighters. Office ladies so helpful. Wi-Fi service was excellent. Beautiful scenery everywhere. You'll have to drive a bit off the interstate to get to Sawmill Highway, but once you're here, you will decide like we did, that the extra miles are worth the drive. Will always stay here when we are in this area.
We had a great stay at this Trader's Village. There are several of these flea markets/RV parks in Texas. We had just come down from the one in Dallas. The location was perfect. It was close to the city but far enough from the freeways to avoid the noise of traffic. Quiet and peaceful. Office staff was great. Wi-Fi was excellent! We will definitely stay here every time we are in the Houston area!
Short or long stay...if you can get a space in this park, you will love it. Nice and quiet. Had the best camp hosts, especially our good neighbor. He worked hard to make sure all was well with everyone. We stayed there from July 2012 to January 2013. Great place with good access to the VA for medical services. Made some great friends while there. Found a great church close by: Cornerstone Church (nondenominational), 1000 Studebaker Road, Long Beach, CA. Look forward to returning in the fall (we have a son in the local area)!
This is a great place to stay when you are in Tucson (and are military). The couple in the office were so wonderful trying to meet your needs. The park itself was just what you need for a short stay or a longer stay. We will definitely stay there again when in the Tucson area!!
I rated this park so low for only ONE reason: the horrible traffic noise that comes from Hwy. 54 which is within a rock's throw of the park. There was noise coming from traffic all day and all night. The park itself is beautiful, neat, clean, friendly staff, etc...all you look for in an RV park. I find it hard to believe that they would put a park in that location EVER. We would NEVER stay there again, no matter what the price due to this noise (and pollution coming from trucks, vehicles, motorcycles, etc.)! Now you know and can decide if it is worth it to you.
We stayed here a week. This is a great park to stay while in the Yuma area. Office ladies were very nice and tried hard to make you happy. We stayed in Site #200 on the canal which was perfect since we could walk our dog right behind our rig. Nice, friendly folks there. Quiet. We definitely plan to return there when in Yuma again.
This is a great campground...don't let word about the bad road coming in bother you. It is approximately 500 feet on a dirt road that is currently under construction but allows you plenty of space to come in and maneuver. The park itself was fine. The ladies in the front office were very nice and helpful. Doggie park available to our dog...they work hard to keep it clean and neat. We will definitely stay here anytime we are in this area!
If you need a park close in to both Dallas and Fort Worth, look no further than Trader's Village in Grand Prairie. For the money, this was one of the best parks we have ever stayed in. Excellent people to work with in the office; they do all they can to make sure you're happy. You would think the flea market and airport close by would be a bother but they were not. In fact, it was fun walking over to the flea market to see what was going on--it is a huge event. And the food they had to offer (all types) at reasonable prices was good too. Our dog had plenty of walking space for his business! We definitely will be back--in fact, we are moving on to Houston and plan to stay in Trader's Village there!!
This takes a little twisting and turning to locate but once you are here you will be so happy you made the effort. This is good for a one night stay but believe me, you will want to stay longer. We added a day to our travels just so we could enjoy a whole day here. The surroundings are beautiful, clean, the ladies in the office are so good and helpful. Just everything a park should be: and it doesn't break the bank to stay here. We will definitely come here anytime we are in this area.
Pine Acres was fine for an overnight stop on our way back to NC from MS. Don't be expecting any high dollar amenities...just a place to park overnight at Passport America rates!! Management very nice and helpful...folks we talked to around the campground were very nice people. Site #19 (pull through) very good for our 40' motorhome and tow car (without unhooking).
Very nice overnight stop for us: headed back to NC from Gulfport MS. Very nice park, well taken care of by owners. I notice that some thought the older lady in the office was a bit rude. Once the business was taken care of, she engaged in conversation with me and was very nice and helpful. I think she just might be one of those people who doesn't exude personality but is really a very nice person if you will take the time to warm up to her!! We will definitely stay here again. The showers/bathrooms (men and women) were very clean and neat looking. Had everything we needed!
This was such a great place to stay, we decided to extend our stay for an entire week ($120 plus one free night). The manager and his staff work hard to make sure that you are happy. We will definitely stay here when we are in the Gulfport area again. They are working on a new laundry area but as someone said, the one directly across the street is clean, convenient, and does the job quite well. Everything you want is close by. We had an electrical problem one night; the manager hooked us up with a local to help us who lives in the park and the next day we were able to drive to an RV repair shop and get a repair to the inverter (total cost $150). This park is close to the interstate but in no way are you bothered by noise, etc. Airport is also close by but again, no bother to us. Clean, nice roads, nice sites...very nice place to stay for overnight or longer!! The manager is the best!
We used this for just one night on the way to Gulfport, MS. Rate entirely too high for the facilities. Would look further next time. The manager was very nice and helpful. No office to go to. He met you at the entrance, led you to the spot, and then collected at that point. (Checks or cash accepted, no credit cards.)
We were in this area for two days only on family business...cold and rainy. The park would be a great place to be if you had the time and were there at the right time of the year. Very nice place. Showers were fine...laundry (washer and dryer--takes quarters) available. Would stay there again for sure. Next time, we plan to come for more fun!
Creekside was a wonderful RV park. We extended our stay two nights. Met very nice people there. Staff very friendly and helpful. Lots of rain but concrete pads and paved roads and rock made it very nice to walk at any time. Lots of dogs (we have one) but all well behaved and on leashes and controlled by owners (great way to meet people). Great place to stay...didn't want to leave but had to!
This was a great campground while we were in the Memphis TN area...just south of Memphis into Mississippi. Very convenient. Coldwater, the closest town, has everything you need. Major shopping, eating, etc. only a few exits back toward Memphis. Very easy to get to Graceland from here. Highway 55 close but did not bother us at all. Very friendly staff. Would stay there again when in the Memphis area.
We stayed here several days as we were in Branson for a Marine reunion. Very friendly staff. Close enough to Branson but far enough out to avoid the madness! Would stay here anytime we're in the Branson area.
This was an excellent campground for an overnight stay on our way to Branson, MO. Close enough to Interstate 40 to be convenient but not so close as to hear the noise. Very friendly staff...very helpful. Would stay here again...hopefully longer the next time.
We stayed here only one night on our way to Branson, MO. Excellent overnight stay. Very friendly staff. Had everything we needed. Close enough to interstate 40 to be convenient but far enough to not be bothered with highway noise. Would stay here again, hopefully longer the next time.
