Very nice CG. Sites are mostly gravel with lots of pull-throughs for those that don't back up well. Staff, very friendly and helpful with local restaurants and activities. Grassy sites with fire rings, restrooms and showers had some age, however serviced and maintained very well. Wi-Fi and antenna TV was very good. We live about 125 miles away and were traveling back home and will plan to revisit the area and would absolutely stay at Singing Hills CG again.
This review is focused on the RV sites and not the motel cabins. The RV sites are gravel and level. The WiFi and Cable worked very well and much better than the more expensive campgrounds we've stayed at. The sewer and electrical hook-ups were not located with forethought as to site layouts. The RV sites are all back-in directly from a 2-way city street. The RV sites are located directly along side of a street leading to a small health care facility and emergency room located about ¼ mile from the RV sites. The two bathrooms were dated and lighting dim but “fairly” clean, with peeling paint and not centrally located. The showers were good size, with plenty of water pressure and hot water. The bathrooms were located to better service the cabins or possibly due to property size or limitations that left the RV sites being the farthest away from the two bathrooms and two showers. The "weeds" in the RV sites needed mowing; the picnic table was in need of major repair, the 3-4 campers when we checked in seemed to be resident/long term campers. All the RV sites need maintenance, sewer drains relocated and electrical boxes replaced and repositioned. Site size/width was not uniform and basically needs to be rethought as to RV layout and requirements from small travel trailers to Class A units. Site security was only as good as the commercial neighborhood it is located in, rather than a campground with a defined entrance or pre-planned campground layout. The location along the city street would be better served as an RV storage. Our host was very friendly and helpful. She provided an electrical extension at no charge due to the location of the power supply to our 5th wheel. The cost-value was representative of the overall condition of the campground.
Very nice, quite older CG. Rate reflects Passport membership. The sites were good size and all the utility hook ups were placed appropriately. The bathrooms and showers were very clean and the WiFi and TV antnna worked very well. This is a resident husband/wife managed CG. The CG could use a little paint and a little ascetic improvements, however overall the facilities and the CG is clean and close to shopping, Lake Michigan and pubs/eateries. We stayed 2 nights and would return. Very nice CG experience.
I would recommend this CG as an over night stop. The Wi-Fi, water and electric all worked well. The sites and roads are all gravel, level with a mix of pull-through and back-in sites. We've been on the road for almost 3 months. The sites here are good size and the loop road is plenty wide enough to maneuver any size RV. The bathrooms/laundry were clean and convenient to the CG. The washers seemed a little expensive at $3 per load. Easy on and off the highway. All things considered, we would stay here again.
Beautiful campground. Well run, managed and maintained. The CG layout is well planned, the sites are nice size, plenty of shade trees, lots of grass, family and pet friendly. Wi-Fi was good, and the water, sewer and electric hookups were well positioned for the sites that I looked at. Mostly gravel sites, level and mostly pull-through. The laundry and showers were immaculate, good size and clean even on Labor Day Weekend. This is a destination CG, but I would highly recommend when you are in the St Cloud area regardless of the length of your stay. Very nice.
Very pleasant stay. Close to I-90 and a very quaint little town of Reed Point, MT. The park seemed to have mostly long term campers, but all looked neat and well maintained. The bathrooms, showers and laundry were exceptionally clean. We had full hookups to include cable and Internet. Both worked very well. The local saloon/grill is in walking distance and has a lot of character. Recommend if nothing more than to take a couple of pics and drink a coke at the saloon. This is not a destination campground however if you know the area, I'm sure their are some hiking and sightseeing to pursue. We would stay again! Passport America discount applied. Excellent value.
Very clean and well maintained campground. Most all site were pull-through sites. We saw big Class A motor homes and a few pop ups. Most all the sites were gravel with grassy patches between. The bathrooms were very clean and well maintained and serviced. The lady that check us in was very friendly, and knowledgeable about the area. Also helpful as to local scenery, hiking and driving. The only reason I rated 9 rather than a 10, sites were small but remember you are in a tourist town, with lots to see and do. We have stayed in other campgrounds where the sites were even smaller without much to do other than to sit and watch your neighbor set up or take down. Very good Internet too. We stayed for 7 days and would stop again. 50 miles from Yellowstone East gate, plenty of restaurants in Cody, shopping and entertainment.
Excellent+ RV park and management. Very clean facilities to include, restrooms, showers and park cleanliness. Owner pride is evident. The owners were professional, customer focused, very pleasant, helpful and accommodating. Location to I-29 near by, without highway noise. Close to dining options to include DQ for your ice cream niche. Strongly recommend short term or long term when in the area. We will stop by again if passing through. We only stayed one night due to our schedule. Not much going on in this part of the state, but the RV park should be a consideration next time you're in the area. Very well run... My compliments to the owners!
Red Barn is an older park, fairly well maintained, but seemingly primarily occupied by seasonal long term campers. Those sites were very well maintained, decorated, and good size. Short term lots extremely close. My neighbor was parked with barely enough room to walk between units. Gravel lots w/concrete pads. WiFi was non existent for our site location. Owner acknowledged weak WiFi signal. Park located close to Sioux Falls shopping, dining and entertainment. We stayed 2 nights; based on lot size and zero WiFi, would probably only stay if nothing else available in the area.
