Great little campground that is family run. You can see their pride in the campground. Easy access in and out. The camp store was small with little to offer; however, Williams is a stone's throw and you will have no trouble finding what you need. Don't let the name fool you; although the Grand Canyon Railroad runs beside the campground there were no train noises after 6 PM. Far enough off the highway so that the truck noise is not an issue. They provide breakfast in the office daily from 8:00 - 10:00 AM. BONUS! The staff is friendly and helpful. We will return here any time we are near Williams, AZ!

If this is a "Resort," Lord save me. Do not go here if you have anything larger than 38ft. We were assured that our 43ft motorhome would work great in the "honeymoon sites." We could barely get through the NARROW park roads. If we'd met anyone as we entered the park, one of us would have had to back up down a hill and around a corner, or up the hill then down the other side. We should have heeded this as a warning; however, they'd already charged a $50 nonrefundable deposit. The interior park roads are narrower than the entrance road and VERY POORLY marked. We were given a park map and told how to find our site; however, the map was not to scale, and with the poor markings, it was totally confusing. The sites are not large enough to handle a 43ft motorhome, although we were told there would be no problem. The site was too narrow and short for our motorhome, so like most people in the park our car stuck out into the road, making it difficult for other rigs to maneuver the too narrow roads. There is no lighting in the park so returning after dark was a challenge ensuring we turned on the correct roads to get to our site. Although Hidden Valley advertises that they have Wi-Fi it is not accessible unless you are at the office, and it is a slow, poor quality connection. There were no bathrooms in the area where we stayed, and I did not see restrooms or showers in the park other than at the office. Due to their "NO REFUNDS!" policy, we were forced to stay the 4 days we prepaid for at $62 daily. I've stayed in better parks for $30. Do yourself a favor and skip this park! This is the worst "resort" we have ever stayed at. We will never return!

Tried to get help with directions as most roads aren't big rig friendly. Ellen, one of the owners, claimed not to know how to tell us to get there. Finally told us which exit to take then failed to tell us that there are 2 right turns to get to the campground. Once we got on the correct road she was helpful with finding the entrance which is obscured until you are right on top of it. About 85% were permanent summer campers. Pull-throughs were long but to get to the hookups you had to get too close to the trees between the sites, all of the trees needed trimming. The campsites smelled like the sewer, we complained to the male owner who claimed it was the trees. ??? We had no phone service, nothing to do in the immediate area after the first day and would have left after the first night due to the smell, but we couldn't get a refund. We will not return.

Excellent choice for big rigs, Pumpkin Patch was made for us! Large pull through sites, easy to maneuver through the campground and into your site. This is our first trip to Maine and it has been a wonderful experience. Coming from FL we had previously found most camp hosts to be less than friendly. We understand that is the "New England Way." It was refreshing to arrive to friendly helpful staff who willingly offer site seeing suggestions, they seem proud of their state! When we visit Maine again we will definitely stay here as we have visited several other campgrounds in the Bangor area and found them to be less big rig capable, although they advertize they can handle the big rigs. We stayed for a month and received a discounted rate so check their website for rates.

AA Royal Motel and Campground is located about 9 miles from Niagara Falls. The owners live on site and are very nice! Sites are paved. Although this is a small campground, they had space available over Memorial Day weekend, we mistakenly selected this weekend to arrive at Niagara Falls. Staff greeted us, assisted with getting into our space, provided site seeing info, etc. They did not have an up charge for the holiday weekend, which impressed us. One of the other campgrounds we checked with tripled their price even for dry camping. If you want frills don't stay here. If you are looking for a nice quiet clean park to stay in while visiting "The Falls" etc this is a good choice. We will return when we return to the area.
