This is the park formerly known as Amy's RV Park. We have stayed here on numerous occasions before. It is a very convenient stopover just off I-75 at exit 60. The new owners were as friendly and accommodating as we have been used to in the past. There are some improvements in place and more in the works for the future. We stayed here in December on our way to FL and were surprised to see the KOA sign on the way home in March. The roads in and out could use a little improvement, but the facilities were clean and in good working order. We'll continue to use this park as we have in the past.
There isn't much I can add to the other posts about this campground. The facilities are what they are: excellent! The on site folks running this resort are wonderful to say the least. This year, we had some storm damage to our RV a week before we were to come to Spring Lake and by the time we got it out of the body shop and made the trip to Crossville, we were about a week past our reservation start. I stayed in touch with the folks at Spring Lake and they worked with me through this period and had our site ready when we got here. I could not have asked anyone to be more patient nor helpful. I already look forward to our next visit. I recommend this park without reservation.
We stayed a week using KOA Anderson's "Hot Deal". The experience was positive right from the check-in. The owners are enthusiastic about the day-to-day operation and this was reflected in their workamper couple. Everything was clean, neat and in good repair. The CG is convenient to shopping and restaurants. We had family staying here, too and the time spent with them was great. All in all this is a campground that not only offers a lot, but delivers as promised. We will go back.
This is the first time we have left the RV at home and stayed in a campground cabin. As it turned out, the experience couldn't have been better. For starters, this is a nice, quiet and clean campground. The cabin we had was immaculate and well stocked. Everything we needed was there. No calls to the office required. The area itself is beautiful and the view from our porch was extremely relaxing. The owners and their most excellent workamper are totally in tune to their guests and go the extra mile to make your stay enjoyable. The CATV and Wi-Fi are excellent. As nice as the cabins are, when we go back, we'll take the RV and stay a bit longer.
This was our second visit to this campground. It is a beautiful place with many sites to accommodate large RVs. The problems we experienced with the management and the deterioration of the docks and other areas were much greater this year. The office was rarely open. Many activities were handled by guests on a volunteer basis. A couple that wintered here last year, were staying in one of the campground's off-site rentals and came to the park to co-ordinate most activities. To get mail or conduct any business in the office was nearly impossible. The owner took the liberty to charge things to the credit cards whose numbers were entrusted to her to guarantee reservations solely because she was "too busy" to be in the office or to present the bills for payment. It's a shame to have this nice of a park and let it go to the dogs for lack of a good workkamping couple or two to provide the amenities people want and deserve. Many of the "snowbirds" here are searching for a different park for next winter.
This is a park that has risen from the ashes, so to speak. The current owners have hired a very professional, on site management couple who have a lot of experience in campground resort management. The results are nothing short of amazing. The old tumble down junk has been removed from the park. Most sites are upgraded with patios and 50A service. The restrooms/showers, laundry facilities, pool, etc. are well stocked and clean. These folks are the most accommodating hosts one could ask for. We came here for a week after we left our 'regular' wintering spot on a fact finding mission for next year. That week turned into two weeks because we didn't want to leave! We left a deposit for next year when we return for three months.
We stopped at Amy's on New Year's Eve '08 on our way to FL and again in March '09 on our way home. The management here is in tune to overnighters and goes out of their way to make sure everyone is settled in and all their needs are seen to. When we stopped here on our way to FL, we were invited to join the park guests at the clubhouse for their New Year's Eve party. All in all, this is a great stopover park.
The rate quoted is the monthly rate. This is our first trip to Spring Lake RV Resort. We stayed here several years ago when it was Roam & Roost. The improvements made really enhanced our stay. We were in the new section on the backside of the lake. The water had great pressure, the electricity was 'clean' and surge free and the free Wi-Fi was the strongest and fastest I've ever used. An exceptionally well maintained park in all aspects. The only shortcoming I found was the sewer port. It was already a little high because of the lay of the land and this was made even more of a problem by leaving several inches of pipe and the cap assembly above the ground. Believe me, black water needs to flow downhill! Being able to enjoy the unfurling of the fall colors for the entire month of October was priceless. We had an excellent time and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this park to anyone.
We stopped here just for an overnight stop on our way to Florida where we're snow birding for the winter. This campground was everything we expected of it: Long pull-thru's, 50a service, level site (left TV hooked up, dropped stabilizers slept, ate and left). The rate was reasonable and the management was friendly and accommodating.
Signs on interstate said this campground had long pull-thrus and was a Good Sam Park so we decided to stop for the night. It was quite early in the scheme of things... 5:30 p.m. The office was locked up. There were no instructions for 'late' arrivals. Tried knocking on office door since it appeared owners housing was in same building, to no avail. We finally just got turned around and went south on I-75 to the next exit to Amy's RV Park. It was also a Good Sam Park with very reasonable rates and wonderful, accommodating and friendly management. I'll know where to go and where to avoid the next time I'm passing through Tifton!
This was our second visit to this park, and once again had a wonderful experience. The rate quoted was the monthly rate. This is a great park for relaxing in a most beautiful setting for sure. In addition, Crossville offers a good selection of restaurants, cultural activities and outlet shopping if this tickles your fancy. The management and staff go the extra mile to be sure their guests have the best experience possible. We'll be back for sure and don't hesitate to recommend this resort to our camping friends. Our month there passed way too quickly!
The owners have taken great pains to develop this park in a careful and deliberate manner. The hard work and large investment is really starting to show. This is a huge piece of property with relatively few campsites. The long range plans will take some time to realize as the owners are striving to make each phase right before moving on to the next one. The campsite we had was in the newest section. It was a huge site with a view of the beautiful 25-acre Good Neighbor Lake. The interior roads are gravel and the owners have the right equipment to keep them in great shape. The shower houses and laundry rooms have state of the art equipment and are spotlessly maintained. There are three fully equipped lake front cabins that would be ideal for visiting friends or family. All in all, this is one of the nicest and prettiest campgrounds we have stayed in and I would not hesitate to recommend it to any of my friends as a base to enjoy all that the Cumberland Plateau has to offer.
We stayed here for 10 days in December. We were able to enjoy Winterfest and a very nice CG that wasn't crowded. Mother nature tossed us a bit of light snow and then record setting single-digit cold. It would take more than inclimate weather to inhibit the exuberance of this park's staff. A lot of work has been going on for the past couple of years and the upgrades are readily evident. This has got to be the numero uno CG for family camping in this area.
We spent two weeks here in March. It was the end of the snowbird season and many folks were winding down their season. The CG is geared toward long term guests and the social calendar was loaded with things to do. I don't think I've ever stayed at a CG where the people were so friendly. I'm talking about the guests as well as the management and staff. We were made to feel a part of everything from day one. From Saturday morning breakfasts to twice weekly bingo it was like one big family. A beautiful park with all new utilities, cable TV and the best WiFi I've ever used. We will definitely stay here again.
It had been a couple of years since our last visit here. The policy of ongoing improvements was very obvious. The electrical service was new at all sites and paved patios were the order of business during this visit. I guess about thirty or more patios were done and progress was being made on providing this amenity to all sites. What had not changed was the friendliness and professionalism of all the park employees. This is made clear to you from reservation to check-out. We had a wonderfully relaxing stay once again at what has to be the "Best of PF!"
The rate quoted was Good Sam discounted rate. They also offer a weekly rate that amounts to pay for six nights and the seventh night is free. This is one of the cleanest campgrounds we've had the pleasure to stay at. The bathrooms/showers were immaculate. The grounds were 'manicured' to say the least. As previously stated, this is the place to be if quiet and restful is your agenda. The town of Crossville offers a lot of choice for dining and entertainment if desired and is a very short drive away. The owners are on site and do everything they can to make you feel like the most special guest in the park. Our experience here couldn't have been any better. A wonderful 'old timey' park in a naturally beautiful part of our country. We'll definitely return and will not hesitate to recommend this park to our friends.
