Really enjoyed our time here. Good location to visit the area sites. Owners are friendly and helpful. Escorted to site and helped get situated. This is a campground in the pine forest, not a resort. Good gravel roads and sites. Full hookups and best Wi-Fi we've found. Located just out of Custer, nice and quiet, easy to relax. Would definitely recommend this campground.

Gave this park a 5 due to the noise around the park. Bordering the back of the park is a middle school, high school, and YMCA with lots of loud noise during and after school activities until midnight. One night a Relay For Life benefit with loud bands playing started at 8:00 PM continued all night until 8:00 AM the next morning. With windows closed and air conditioner fan running all night it still disturbed our sleep. On the front side of the park is a large hospital with emergency vehicles with sirens coming and going all the time. No monthly or weekly rates just daily at $40.00 which we thought was expensive for a county park; county residents pay $30.00. There are extra charges for all the activities; swimming, driving range, tennis, batting cage, etc. The saving grace about this park is the park itself. Sites are spread out, a lot of pull through sites, some shade, clean & well kept. Great location for all the shopping you ever need to do.

Spent two winter months here. Everyone was very nice, grounds are well kept, pool & hot tub area are very clean. Went out of their way to be sure you got settled in your site. Stay away from sites #1-30 & 129-146 if your are a light sleeper. The field beside the park has a dog that barks and a rooster that crows all night. The management was very understanding, we were not the first to complain. They reassigned us to a site on the other end of the park and we slept like babies. WalMart and Walgreens are close by, Publix grocery is 5 miles away. Downtown Ft. Pierce and inter-coastal bridge to Hutchinson Island have been refurbished, and are nice to visit with lots of interesting restaurants.

We love this park. It is a short walk to the beautiful, white powder sand beach and aqua blue water with the lagoon is between. Some of the sites have a nice view of the water. The site we had, #50, was big enough for our 40' Class A, our toad, a 6 person tent, fire pit ,and picnic table. Not all sites are this large, but this is a good one if you need the room. The restrooms are very clean and conveniently located. For bicycle riders, there are great paths to the towns on either side of the park. We look forward to coming back.

We were sitting outside enjoying the evening after a 5 hour drive when a train starts rumbling by blowing his horn. I would not have accepted a site on this side of the park if I had known there was a railroad track no more than 100 feet from the site. The higher numbers are the old section & closer to the train track; the lower numbers are the new section and very nice, roomy, some trees, nice new paved roads with concrete pads and patios. The laundry and bathrooms are new and very clean. I would have given this parks a 10, and we would have had a different experience had we stayed on the other side of the park.

What a great idea, an RV&B! The owners have graciously opened their beautiful mountain farm to RVers looking for a truly unique experience. They offer 6, level, full hookup RV sites with a concrete patio overlooking the mountains, covered parking area for your car, a gazebo for relaxing or reading, paths for walking through the forest surrounding their property. On the entrance gate hangs a "Welcome Home" sign, which is truly how you feel as soon as you arrive. The best part of all is the owners themselves. They welcome you as friends, and you leave as family. After you are settled in, your stay starts with an ATV tour of the farm, introductions to the pet chickens (whose eggs you will enjoy for breakfast) and the beautiful Ballerina Geese, stories about the area and places to explore if you so choose. They are very kid and dog friendly, even with a dog washing area. Our 2 grandsons were with us for the visit to the farm and didn't want to leave. They loved riding along on the Bobcat to feed the geese and chickens, collect eggs in the mornings, then help putting them to bed at night. And it was always a treat to see the deer and wild turkeys come out in the evening for corn that was left for them. If you are looking for a beautiful place to unwind in the North Carolina mountains with the RV, yet only a short drive to whatever your interests or needs are, this Cardinal Ridge Farm RV&B needs to be on your list.
