We camped here for over a week and really loved the campground. There were so many nice sites and the staff was very helpful when I was selecting a site. The campground staff really takes care of the sites and grounds. For someone planning an extended stay, the campground offers honey wagon/pump-out service. The electric service was steady throughout our stay and never came close to being inadequate. We ran our A/C all week with the fridge on electric. The water pressure was steady and we even had cable TV on our site. The camp store is small but fine for camping needs. They have an ice cream window and a restaurant in the lodge. They serve breakfasts on the weekends and coffee/muffins during the week. In that same lodge building there is a game room and a bar on the weekends. The lake is beautiful with good fishing and the boat rentals for a very reasonable rate. It is right in Plymouth and so it's really easy to get to the Plymouth attractions but also easy to get to an x-way to head into Boston or down to the Cape. I had read earlier reviews where people had mentioned being bothered by the nearby airport or the shooting club. We were there for 10 days and honestly were not bothered by either. We did hear planes here and there and we could hear the gun club activity for short periods but it was nothing that was bothersome. This was one of the best campgrounds we have stayed at and we will absolutely return here when back in the area. You will not be disappointed.

Very nice park and we had a great site (FS3) that was nicely treed with privacy between the sites. The ground is crushed stone and very level. Lots of things in the park - pool, tennis, fishing pond, nice store, mini-golf. The staff is very friendly and helpful - we had a pretty big mechanical issue with our camper and they were very helpful in assisting me. About 1 hour north of Philly with several things to do nearby. Nice campground, nice sites! We would definitely stay again.

Very nice state park with typically large state park sites. Great beach and snack house. The fishing is great and the water is really beautiful: crystal clear and a unique green color. You can only fish in one of the two ponds (never really understood why). If you plan to stay for more than a few days bring a container to re-fill your water manually (5 gallons at a time) as the campground installed something called "water pedestals" that do not allow you to hook a hose up to if you need to re-fill your fresh water tank. Actually contacted someone in Albany and complained. Their response was, "The only way you can refill your tank at Green Lakes CG is to do it at the dump station and if your tank is empty you probably need to dump your holding tank..." This will require you to break down camp to fill your water tank. I tried to explain that the newer units have multiple holding tanks with capacity that greatly exceeds the fresh water tank but they just don't get it. Nice place for a quick weekend but we will not camp here for an extended stay. Hauling 5 gallons of water 8 times (40 gallon tank) is too much for my back.

We camped in what is considered "Bayley's Best", sites in the back of the CG. They are OK but really nothing special. Our site was along the back road and there was no trees or shrubs of any kind between the sites, absolutely no privacy and no grass on the ground, only gravel making it really uncomfortable on bare feet. There is a lot to do in the CG but we really wished they would put effort into creating some level of privacy. This is the most we have ever paid for a site and we were so disappointed at the wide-open characteristics of our site. We will not return to this dusty, over-priced CG.
