One of our favorite parks. We stayed here two months (price reflects monthly rate). The sites are privately owned and rented when the owners are not there. We had a huge (by comparison with some other parks) site that was paved with a patio and a second patio at the edge of the lovely pond we were next to. Beautiful, well maintained campground with good ocean access. No community room or planned activities, but we don't need them - we can make our own fun. Used the hot tub almost daily. March and April are the off-season and the park was only lightly used. We loved the local restaurants with live acoustic music almost every night. The Port Aransas annual sand sculpture contest was great. The greater Corpus Christi area was also great with events almost every weekend. Plan to return again when we're in the area.
Beautifully landscaped park with large, wide, paved pull-thru's and back-ins with patios. We stayed four months (the rate reflects this) and the price was great. Great for birding and butterfly watching, biking, and walking. In November, hundreds of migrating butterflies were around the flowering shrubs on our patio every day. The grounds were immaculate with a crew mowing, trimming and cleaning daily. Didn't use the bathrooms and showers but they appeared to be very clean. Our only complaint was the sometimes poor WIFI if a trailer was parked between you and the repeater. The park would be perfect if you could get broadband on the cable TV. We searched parks from the coast all the way to Mission, and this was by far the best park in the region. Would definitely return again.
Nice park. Closest we found to I40. Park clean, staff pleasant, wide streets and easy-to-negotiate pull-thru's. Limited TV selection. WIFI was adequate. Had some permanents but they were very nice and well kept. Would return again.
Nice campground. Met all our criteria: easy on/off from I-40; clean and well maintained; easy to negotiate, level pull-through sites; good selection on the TV cable; and (best of all) a very fast, free Wi-Fi. Several fuel suppliers close by. Some noise from the trucks at the Flying J, but that didn't bother us. Not much to do for a extended stay, but all we needed was an overnight and this was an excellent stop.
Very nice campground. Wide, long, level, easy-to-negotiate pull-through's with good hookups. We had a site on the river edge and enjoyed watching the river traffic. No cable, but local channels were available. However, free Wi-Fi was terrible: slow and cut out all the time. However, the nice river location made up for it. Would return when in the area again.
