This little campground is a great find. It is quiet, grassy, and you have the place to yourself as there are no campfires allowed. I would guess that would deter a lot of weekend campers. The place is well taken care of and is close to town and I-5. We used this place as a home base to access a couple of the paved rails to trails for biking.
This was a very nice campground to stay at and enjoy Lake Superior and the Duluth area and such. There is an incorrect review posted on this campground as it is not the park on a river and the roads are not tight. It is quite the opposite as there is plenty of room to maneuver. There is all green grass, sites are generous, very quiet, and I really appreciated the special maps and hints that were provided for this area. We will come back here.
This campground is also known as Windsor RV Park. It has mostly permanent residents and the sites are very close together. The electric is very poor: you cannot keep your unit cool. The only internet is an area you can plug into if you have an 800 number for dial-up. We felt like this was an expensive parking space as that is all it provides. The beautiful town of Windsor is nearby.
