We stayed 8 nights here. The brochure/web site says cable "available". When we arrived we found out you have to contact the local cable provider and set up an account with them. Then you have to pay a service fee to have them come to the site and manually hook it up and pay for one month minimum. Essentially there is no cable for transients. This would definitely been nice to know beforehand. Also upon arrival we found our site had been re-graded that day and was fresh dirt and quite messy. Gravel or process after the grading would have been nice. Our only other complaint was even though there were approximately 17 transient sites many remained vacant while 3 different RV'S were assigned immediately adjacent to our site limiting our privacy. The park is however overall nice with many permanents almost all nicely maintained, quiet, and pleasant. The showers and laundry area were clean, modern and the showers were free. The store had all the basics and the prices were very reasonable (nice not to be gouged like some other places). The pool area was clean and new, but not much else to do here. The beach was not too far but we chose to venture south. The staff was friendly and helpful however this park seems to primarily cater to and be occupied by middle to older aged permanent campers with not much for younger families. Not much to do outside the park either. We would probably not return not because of the resort itself, but rather the overall area of Fort Pierce.
Stayed 5 nights had a great time. We were lucky enough to get a large 50 amp site directly across from the swimming lake. Well maintained campgrounds, nice pool, plenty for the kids to do, friendly staff. Even the majority of the permanent sites were nicely maintained and the residents friendly. Store pretty well equipped, but more importantly they didn't gouge you on the price. Convenient off the highway for a bigger unit. Would definitely go back.
I submit this review without even being able to go here. We called to make a reservation and got an answering machine. We left a message as instructed and told them we wanted to make a reservation. That was a week ago and we still have not received a response. I now will not spend a dime at a place with such poor customer service that won't even take the time to assist in making a reservation. With good camping destinations scarce in this state, owners should make every attempt to draw and make happy the customers that want to camp here.
We had an excellent time at bike week, 1 site off oceanfront. Met some really nice people. Quiet when you wanted it, busy when you didn't. Plenty of stuff to do. Most staff friendly. It was nice not to have to pay for anything additional after you checked-in. Store the best we've seen with good prices. Great location. Rented a golf cart & drove responsibly around the resort, very nice. Golf cart operation should be allowed only to adult licensed drivers in the resort. Pool area very nice; however some modern music would have been nice. Will definitely go back.
Enterance not larger unit friendly. Field sights nice, good entertainment. For some unknown reason pool closed every day around noon (the hottest part of the day) for scheduled maintenance. Even though it only opened around 10:00a.m. it didn't seem to matter wether there were 50 people or 5 in it. Perhaps the pool guy can start getting up before 10:00 and do it then. Lots of kids, friendly staff. Nothing close-by off sight to do. Overall a nice quiet place for a quick get-away locally, but would probably not go back
Lots of flies, too many permanents that thought they owned the place, especially the pool. A bit rude there. Great location close to everything; good bike paths. Alleged lifeguards were mostly teenage girls hanging out with their friends not watching pool. Good entertainment. Swimming lake brown, stick to the pool. Store way too expensive. Staff friendly, overall a good place - would go back.
