This could be a great park with 150 sites. The problem is they have stuffed 209 sites into the location. Sites have a concrete pad 8 feet wide and there is 10 feet of grass between the pads. Most motor homes are wider than 8 feet so one walks on the grass regardless of how one parks. OK if it's dry, but different in the rain. With slides out on adjacent vehicles, there is no space for the picnic table. And the rig behind us was three feet from our rear. Interior roads are narrow. We had to move our dingy which was parked on our site (at 9:00 p.m.) so a trailer could maneuver into the site across from us. Tight quarters to say the least. And the indifferent office staff (borderline rude) didn't help either. Fortunately we were in the front of the park. Sites at the rear get a lot of road noise from the highway a short distance away. Lots of long term residents despite the high price. We would not stay here again.
This is a wonderful, quiet RV park. It's a working farm with nine or ten sites, all full hookup. No bathroom, shower, or clubhouse, just a great, clean, picturesque place to park. All sites are long and wide with plenty of room. Pull through sites are long enough to stay connected. Back in sites are plenty long enough for the longest rigs. All sites are separated at the sides with vegetation giving a very private and quiet feel. No night noise from traffic or anything. Owners are wonderful and sell their fresh (picked that day) vegetables and eggs. Close to town, but feels very remote. Surrounded by working farmland. We would definitely look forward to staying here again.
How this park ever received a 10/10/10 rating from Trailerlife we'll never know. While they have pull-through sites you are required to disconnect your dingy prior to entering the site. And the dingy will only fit on the site parked at an angle either in front of or in back of the rig. The sites are so narrow one can barely walk beside the rig without walking in the vegetation. And that is on a side without slides. The park is on a hillside so there is no area next to the site for a bar-b-que or chairs. No table is provided. If you want to sit outside you do so either in front of or in back of the rig on the pavement. Staff is pleasant sometimes, then not so pleasant other times. We only stay here because we are visiting someone in Wilsonville and have no other choice.
This park is our new gold standard. We love it. Nice wide sites, level, flat, and 90' long! .And quiet! .Orange trees in every site with orange groves all around the park. Very nice staff. We've stayed in other parks here in Bakersfield. but none can come close to this. We definitely will stay here again. They even have a free wash rack for rigs or cars. We will definitely stay here next time we're in Bakersfield.
As others have said, this is a good park for an overnight. Very quiet, yet close to I 15 and I 40. Regardless of what Trailerlife says, they do have 50 amp (it's extra). And they do have Wi-Fi for $5 a day ($25 a week). We had no problem getting in our site in a 38' motorhome. And another 50' bus chassis with a dingy came in after us, so they can handle big rigs. Staff are very nice and helpful. We would stay here again.
Trailer Life rates this park as a 8.5/10*/10. That is way too high. This park is mostly permanent park models for long term or vacation residents. A few spots are for short term rentals. All sites are VERY close together. If they were any closer they would be called RV storage. Roads are very narrow. We could barely get our 38' motor home in our site. And we were right on top of our neighbor. We paid for three nights and left after two. We would not stay here again.
Excellent, quiet RV park. Owner is very nice and helpful. Sites are very large, well spaced and shaded. Dirt road (about 1/8 mile) was graded while we were there so it was better than in the last review. The clubhouse was more like a home rec room than RV park facility. Lots of books, DVDs, magazines, couches, and sitting areas. Very homey. We extended our stay because we enjoyed the park so much and would definitely stay there again.
Our 38' rig fit with our towed vehicle but just barely. Sites are narrow but sufficient with grass on passenger side. Nice women in office. Cable did work. Only complaint is Tengo Internet (Wi-Fi provider). They are the absolute worst provider we've ever used. They work for a day, maybe two, then you can't get in and can't figure out what to do. Their security is so great you can't use them. Worthless. If you stay here and like great hot dogs, go to Kranky Franks. Funky and fantastic!
It is very overpriced. The Park is old. Sites are narrow - two rigs with slides next to each other would probably touch. There is no picnic table, nor grass. There were many dogs, and all seemed to be barking. There is a nice lady in office though (only positive thing we can say). We would not stay here again.
We agree with the prior raters. Great park with nice, helpful owners. Long pull-throughs with wide grass area. Very high quality Indian crafts at gift shop. We had a problem with contaminated diesel fuel and owners directed us to Montella's Repair across the street. Montella was wonderful! Gave us good advice, fixed the problem, and charged us a very reasonable price. We hope to stay here again.
