We were looking for a place to stay a week and check out Cedar Creek Lake as a retirement home. Found this jewel of a CG on Google. The owner acquired the CG about two years ago and has made many improvements and promises more to come, including internet and enclosed storage for RV's. The CG is across the street from a channel off the lake and has a boat launch, as well as a pontoon boat to rent. The roads are gravel and the sites are grass. The grounds are immaculate and the owner and the staff are great. There is plenty of room to exercise the dog. We are returning in the spring.
This park is convenient to the interstate and has the restaurant with entertainment on premises. The park is indeed old, but our site was level and the utilities all worked. The meal and entertainment were great!. We camped in a motorhome.
This is the best luxury resort we have stayed in. Our rate reflects a first time Good Sam discount (20%). The resort is extremely well maintained, has the amenities, good security, and is convenient to the strip. We camped in a motorhome.
Good security and level sites. The location of the covered table makes it unusable. We have camped here several times over the past four years. The overall maintenance of the campground has really deteriorated. Worm boxes, bones, and other trash are around the lakes. The water in the lakes looks nasty. The weeds are not being trimmed.
There has been a significant improvement in the maintenance of this park since we were here last. The sites have been cleaned well and the overall appearance is much better. It already had the ingredients for a great park, just needed some care.
Our rate is based on being a TT member. However, the cg is open to the public. About 1/2 of the sites have no sewer and all have only 30 amp. This is a difficult place to camp, unless you like boon docking. The only Wi-Fi is in the lounge area. There are only two washers and two showers in the men bathroom. The trail and scenery is nice.
This is a clean, well kept campground in an excellent location to downtown Fredericksburg. The sites are a little narrow and the cement patio is awfully small. The Wi-Fi works well. There are not many amenities.
This campground is a good stopping place between El Paso and San Antonio. Although it does not have cable (probably no one in that area does), the Wi-Fi was acceptable and it had a great campground cafe. This is mostly a one night stop for RV's and suits the purpose. You should consider making a reservation early in the day, because it does fill up sometimes, even in the off season.
The sites are gravel and nearly level, with a table. The location is fine. The worst drawback is the attitude of the owner/manager, who designs all signs and instructions in a negative "no" manner. One of the staff actually adjusted my water connection unnecessarily because of their unhook rule after dark.
This is a mobile home park (park models) with a few RV sites in the back. The sites are very narrow. We did not see any free Wi-Fi available. The park is gated and has a good club house. There seems to be many needless rules. We would stay here again provided there was nothing else available.
This is a great campground. There are wide asphalt streets, large level gravel sites with concrete patio. The Wi-Fi is good. The two pools and spas are wonderful. The onsite grill is good and the staff is very courteous and friendly.
We found this park to be great! We camped on the top side where there is a fantastic view. The sites have concrete pads and patio, with fire ring. The reception for Wi-Fi was very good. The steep roads to the park were really not a problem to us. The location was perfect for what we wanted to do, including driving through the Rocky Mtn. National Park.
We had a wonderful large site(Deluxe) with great landscaping. The heated enclosed pool and hot tub were very nice. The Wifi connection was really slow! The incoming security gate did not work the entire week we were there. Because of its advertisement as a "resort", we were surprised at the lack of extra services or events. We camped in a motorhome.
I agree with the last review. We are full time and really appreciate the extra effort made by the owners and camp hosts. The park has just recently been renovated into a resort (absent a pool and hot tub). The sites are wide with full length concrete patios, even for the big rigs, with nice landscaping separating the sites. Wi-Fi reception is excellent. Cable is not available in this area, but there is a nice lodge available with large TV that has Directv.
This campground is the best one in the area, mainly because of its location on the river and in town. Most of the park has been upgraded to 50 amp. We enjoy the ability to have campfires and to wade and fish the river.
This is our second year to camp here. The Wi-Fi has been weak or none existent both times. This year we were placed in a "patio to patio" site, with only one picnic table to share. There appears to be too many of these type of sites. The pool is a small one, above ground. We will try to find better accommodations next time.
Location Location!!! The cg is located in the Miramar San Destin area and sits on a great beach. The staff is numerous and very helpful, friendly and courteous. New improved larger sites are being built this year. For those who are not actually "on" the beach, it is a very short walk. There are two beautiful pools and lots for the children to do.
This is a beautiful campground, with a lot of grounds to walk and explore. The facilities are very good. The pools are large and well kept. We were assigned a cement pad and patio. The permanent type of campers were very friendly, as well as the staff. We will stop by again.
We have camped here numerous times in the past. There must have been a recent change in management. Vehicles are allowed to park on the grass and in unoccupied sites. One person, checking in late, had to go back to the office to ask that a p/u truck move from the site that was rented. There are cigarette butts, beer can rings, and small pieces of paper on many of the sites. It is a shame since this cg has great facilities.
This is a good, well kept campground, with paved sites and streets, pool, hot tub and exercise room. It also has a little beach (no glass seen) and a nice little water park for the kids. The management is nice and very helpful.
This campground is very convenient to I-10 and the small town has a variety of restaurants to choose from. The managers are very courteous and the facilities are good, except for the Wi-Fi "dropping" the connection often. The park is adjacent to church and school grounds which we used for walking and exercise for our dog. Noise was not a problem for us. We had no problem parking.
This is a newer campground with great facilities, except for unlevel sites (which simply involves an extra step or long legs). The owners and staff are wonderful. The location is good. Having a dog park is a real plus for us. The monthly and long term renters do seem to be taking over since our visit last year, with the only problem being fewer sites available. The grounds are very well kept.
This campground is a "resort", with the only downside, if it bothers anyone, being that it is an older park. It has the mature trees, with shade, deer, squirrel, doves, and other wildlife. The extraordinary long river bank prides a great scenic walk for people and dogs. Good restaurants are close. The sites do vary in size, shade, proximity to river and highway, and direction of parking, so you need to look before renting.
We confirm prior positive comments on this resort. We stayed 10 days in a motorhome and were very pleased with the courteous and helpful staff. The location is great. The grounds and sites are kept well. We will certainly stay here when we return to this area.
This park has asphalt roads and cement sites with grass patios. The facilities are great with swimming pools, recreation buildings, huge laundromat, and more than average security. However, the internet reception, which costs over $9.00/day for six days, was very weak or non existent for us. There were cigarette butts and charcoal and wood pieces, as well as many small bones and small pieces of trash on our patio and others around us.
Location, location! This is an old park that has full hookups, level paved sites, with an owner-manager. It only has one washer/dryer, no frills, but the best location and the right quality for the price.
This is a newer park with well kept grounds, paved roads and concrete sites with patio, table and fire ring. It is in an excellent location. The large negatives are only two washers and dryers and very poor internet connection (low strength and unreliable), which is a must to our camping. These problems should not exist in a park with higher rates.
This is an old park with only 30 amp service, which is sometimes erratic. There are tables, but all grass and gravel parking and patio area. However, because of its location right on San Juan River and the wonderful people who manage the park who freely offer help for your needs, we have camped there for three years, a month long each time.
Park has nice paved pull throughs for big rigs, with patio and table, as well as back ins for smaller units. Park is clean and well kept and owners and employees very courteous. Mexican food restaurant next door and 3 mile walking trail across highway. Good location for all that Branson offers. Have been here for two weeks and plan to stay longer.
