The lady in the office was one of the nicest people I have ever met in a campground. Park has nice shade and sites are nice. Seems as there are a lot of people who live here. It turned nasty on the weekend. Loud party nearby from 6:30 AM until after 10 PM. I have no problem with people being loud and having fun, but at least give the rest of us a break during quiet time. My biggest problem with this park though is the dogs that they let in. The weekend brought 2 huge pit bulls next to us. I went out in the morning and a dog that looked like a hyena-pit bull mix was running loose. We have a 13 pound older poodle that we had to worry about getting attacked.
Probably the best site we ever had as far as being private. It was like we had our own back yard. Only issue was the 50 amp was not even a good 30. We were told later that half of the park was old wiring.
Only stayed here one night. Not much to choose from in this area. 50 amp was good. Cable was snowy and unwatchable. We wanted to catch a football game on cable, but that didn't work. We have the air card for Internet and didn't use restrooms, so can't comment on that. Woman warned us about where we took our dog and complained about other campers. Picnic tables were in disrepair. Site was not level. I think it is overpriced and wouldn't stay here again.
Rates are high. They have an old section that has trees, but sites aren't level. The new section is like a parking lot. They offer a continental breakfast that is not necessary. We have stayed here before, because it is convenient to Route 66 casino. If you are doing a one nighter, I would try to stay somewhere else.
Stayed here to visit family. Hot and humid and park is full of mosquitoes. Some people had permanent trailers and came mostly on weekends. They were by far the most unfriendly people I have ever run into. I would never stay here again.
Really a trashy park. We had reservations and when we got there, someone was already at our site. We had to go up to try to find another, which we did. They act like they could care less if you stayed there. When I called, I was put on hold over and over. When I got there, the girl was talking to her boyfriend and acted as if wasn't even there. I went out and told my wife to go in and try to register, I couldn't take it anymore.
We stayed here one night only on June 4 of 2009. The women in the office are as uppity as they come. We paid $46.00 for one night, with no sewer hookup, 30 amp, and no cable. Would have been better off staying in a rest area. The price is totally ridiculous and we would never say here again.
