Packed gravel roads and wide enough sites. Easy access and almost level sites. Fast Wi-Fi and free. Fee represents GS discount. I thought this was maybe a little overpriced but is a nice, small CG. Not kid friendly, no pool or playground, but very quiet. Shuttle stop for Grand Canyon Tour $$$.
Rate reflects PA rate. This is a nice overnight park, especially for the price. Roads were wide and so were sites. Both packed gravel. Not much shade, could be hot but we had a cool day. Interesting history to the location and buildings and lots of Route 66 historical memorabilia. Have some wonderful vintage trailers for rent. Water and electric were good. Wi-Fi was weak but Verizon card worked well as did AT&T 3G. Includes cable. Would definitely stay here again.
This is a trout fishing park. It does have a playground for the kids. The RV sites are all heavily shaded but not much grass gravel roads and level sites. Bathroom and showers are old and not well maintained. No laundry and NO DUMP. But if you like large wooded sites and the feeling of being out in the boonies you would probably like this. Its not a bad place but overpriced for what you get. For my money go down the road 45 miles and stay at Montauk State Park, cheaper and better park.
This was what I am calling a 'typical' Missouri State Park. That is - Great! I am convinced the Missouri state parks are close to if not the best. If they had sewer hook ups this would be a 10! Friendly staff, Gorgeous wooded shady grassy spots (but difficult for Satellite. Our spot was right on the river and the fishing was outstanding. To be fair, this is a fishing campground. Don't miss the huge ice cream cones at the lodge. No TV and no Wi-Fi but Verizon card worked well.
Have a hard time giving this CG a score. We were put in the 'overflow' site which had only water and power and was not one of the concrete pads. But to be fair we were a 'drive up' without reservations. Was able to level without much trouble. Breaker (50 A) would not stay set but they quickly replaced the breaker and had no more problems. Swimming pool looked unique (rock walled) but could not use as it was almost empty. Probably shut down for the season but the temp was 90+ in September. Many longer term residents which lowered the appearance but everyone was very friendly, especially the owner who led us to our spot. I would say for a short term stay in Branson this is an OK spot. Laundry was spotless and well equipped. But I was disappointed after the good reports I read here. The price reflects PA discount. I would not be against coming back here.
Packed gravel sites and some asphalt. Basically a parkiing lot side by side. Enough room for slides and maybe awning. No shade and not particularly friendly staff. Only positive for this place is location and that's great. We were here during Hurricane Irene and they would not refund any fees unless a mandatory evacuation was ordered. This would be a very dangerous place in a hurricane. Had to pay additional $20 to park toad! Per night! Would not stay here again. We stayed in a motorhome.
This was a great campground. You could choose either wooded and very shaded (but no satellite) or the open grassy field. We had wooded. Very clean and picked up. Staff was extremely friendly. Sites were packed gravel as well as the roads. Weather was different every hour. Had several heavy thunderstorms but not the CG fault. Wi-Fi did not work well in wooded valley but Verizon card did. Wooded sites were very spacious and separated. Power and water was good.
Road up is a little scary in a 38 ft coach with a towed vehicle but once you get here its worth it. Long enough pull-throughs to not have to detach, and terrific views. Clean and friendly. Nice place. Sites are not level but you can tell they have been working on fixing that and they are easily usable.
This was a poor choice. A 'Resort' it isn't although it is evident that it tried once many years ago. The place is huge. The transient plots were weedy, loosely packed gravel and not mowed. The tennis courts and 'miniature golf' courses were broken up and overgrown with weeds. The pool had conveniently 'closed' 15 min before we checked in although they did have a small swimming lake with a nice sand beach. The sites were fairly level but many of the sewer connections were broken (including ours). We appeared to be the only overnighter in the park but there did seem to be many full time residents or at least seasonals and their area looked better maintained. I would not stay here again
This was an excellent park. Very wooded and shady and we had a great site, although not super level. Great separation between sites and hosts lead you to the site. Good pool and water slide (extra$). Kids loved it. Quiet even during Sturgis. This is a great destination park. But to be honest I saw several other nice looking ones in this area. Would stay here again in a heart beat.
General impression is a decent place for an overnight stay. Was clean and picked up. Dirt roads and gravel, nearly level sites with some trees and grass. Free Wi-Fi worked really well as did Verizon card and ATT. Grandaughters said the showers associated with the pool were very buggy and had wasp nests. The restroom and showers associated with the office was dated but clean. Only one receptacle for trash as you left. Would stay again if passing through the area.
This is a nice place. No pool or facilities or store. But close to lake, clean and the hosts, who showed us to our site, were quite friendly. Fee is base fee for FHU (50A). Additional people, kids are $2.00 each. Sites are gravel and level and many are huge (long but not super wide). We would stay again.
Very clean park. Gravel, level sites with paved roads. Very small pool but very clean looking. No grass at sites. Would probably have stayed across the street except kids wanted a pool. We would stay here again.
OK place. Sites are gravel/dirt and some have a little grass. Most have shade trees and most have great views. Dirt roads can be a bit dusty and Wi-Fi was fairly undependable and Verizon card did not work but good AT&T coverage. While no cable, good antenna coverage. Pool is VERY small and did not appear clean. Great people, good food and muffins. Sites reasonably level. Would stay here again but might try park down the street if less expensive. Sites farther apart and greener.
As others have said, right on motel grounds. Very safe and centrally located in the city. Use of large motel pool (actually 2 pools). No showers or bathrooms. Level, gravel sites with trees but very little shade. Definitely not a destination park but a very handy one night stay over. Would stay here again.
Easy access from I-5 but VERY quiet. Level, asphalt pads and roads. Lots of shade and green grass. Right on river but but have to climb levy to get to it. Well maintained and clean. Self registration but watched over by a VERY rules oriented host who has been there 20 years! Pretty full on weekends but fairly empty during week. We stayed 28 days and several days we only had 1 or 2 others. We stayed in MH and would most definitely stay here again. Would be a 10 if had 50A and cable/Wi-Fi. But many antenna channels available and Verizon air card worked well.
This is a "no frills" park. There are no restrooms and no showers. The power is clean, the water pressure is good and it is a quiet place. There are no attactions so very few kids. Some sites are grassy and some are hard packed gravel and all are close to level. The sites are narrow. Many places you cannot put out slides and awnings without encroaching on neighbor. Very clean. Price is high for what you get, but they have the location. Really not much else around.
Really disappointed in this CG. This is the only KOA we stayed at on 4500 mile trip with grand kids. Chose it out of directory because it was near where we were going to land for the night and it had a pool. Dirty, barren site with no grass. While it had a couple of trees they did not provide much shade and it was hot. The Wi-Fi was useless. Now the good points. The pool was large and cool and refreshing and the kids enjoyed the slide. The hosts were more than accommodating. Actually drove me over to a gas station to get an empty propane tank refilled. (They had propane on the property but the person who could operate it was not there.) Way too much money for this kind of operation. Should have found somewhere else but the kids wanted the pool. Would not stay here again (but would like to visit the hosts).
This is a true resort CG. Easy check in. Great facility, friendly people. Close to a casino but not walking distance to strip. The only reason it did not get a 10 was because there is no shade and it could really use it. Pads are concrete and level but are packed in there. Easy in and out. Will definitely stay there again.
This is a nice destination CG. Would not make a very good overnight stop. Pluses: Spaces well spaced and treed. Lakeside and lake views. Quiet, supposedly good fishing (but we were skunked, good boating facility and not many boats. Allow skiing (boarding) after June, just fishing before June. Weather was outstanding (90,s during the day and 50-60 at night). GREAT ice cream at store, friendly staff. Minuses: No 50 amp service (just 30 amps), most sites do not have sewer hook ups. Limited sites for larger rigs (35+). Very dusty. Did not use their showers so cannot comment except to note .50 cents for 4 minutes of hot water. Very popular place.
This CG is right on the lake but easy access to the lake is not available. The view is stunning. A small campground and a little hard to get around in. Probably would not handle anything larger than our 38 footer. Lots of shade. It was quiet when we were here but with the bar and restaurant and advertised bands it would probably get pretty noisy. Season had not quite started. All dirt with some grass but had rained heavily the night before and one day we were here. Good drainage tho and mud was not a problem. Train track very close and engineer blows horn but didn't seem to run after 10pm. We would camp here again.
