One of our favorite campgrounds. Nice family atmosphere, no drinking allowed. Some sites are just dirt, others are grassy. Beautiful lake. We camp here yearly

Our first visit here and we loved it. We were in the super sites with concrete pads, plenty of grassy space between sites, fire pit. There was security at the gate entrance evenings and nights which made us feel safer. WiFi available. Everything was clean and in order. Military jets overhead did not bother us, we loved it. There was very little jet noise at night. We would stay here again without hesitation

This was our first time here, but will not be our last. The sites were large, with lots of space and woods between sites. I felt very safe as there were park rangers patroling. The bathhouses did leave a little to be desired. They were clean when we got there, but by the end of the holiday weekend they were a little messy. The showers were lukewarm. As a state park, there wasn't sewer hookups, but they had the nicest dumpstations I have seen. Beautiful park. They do not take reservations unless you are staying a week, but we went on Easter weekend and didn't have any trouble finding a site. This goes on our favorites list

Wonderful park. Clean. Free putt-putt, Hillbill golf, heated pool, hot tub, beautiful stream, stocked fishing pond (catch & release), playground. Friendly staff works hard to keep park clean. This is one mile off I-40 with a well lit entrance. The only reason I didn't give it a 10 is the roads are gravel as well as the sites but they are in great shape. They also have park model and cabins for rent as well. There are activities almost daily. They are about 40 minutes from Cherokee, and a little over an hour from Pigeon Forge. They are part of C2C, AOR, Passport America and RPI. I'm not sure about the nightly rates for public, but if you're part of AOR it's only $9/night. What a deal! We will camp here again and probably on a regular basis
