We camped here during the off season in our camper van at a tent site. We were the only campers in a six-sided, pie shaped gazebo-structure, where the kitchen space and table were roofed. This was most welcome, as scattered showers were occurring. The campground was practically empty, and we could see no other campers from our vantage point. For just the two of us, this was a great overnight spot, and the price was right.
Although the Driftwood sign looks run down, it is actually brand new. The new owner is not always on site, but is moments away with a phone call. She is very friendly and willing to please. The campground is in a nice setting, a bit old and rundown, but Is in the process of being fixed up. Restroom facilities were clean and adequate.
Campsites were adequate, and in a nice setting. Restrooms and showers were clean. Shower water was hot, but there was no hot water at the sinks in the men's room. Electrical outlets in the women's room did not work.
This is one of the most delightful RV campgrounds we have stayed in. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The grounds were immaculate, as were the restrooms, showers and laundry facilities. You can tell the owners take their business seriously, and they are always looking for ways to improve.
