Rickett's Glen is one of my favorite places to camp. They can accommodate up to 40' RV, although there are no hookups. We have always had a great experience here, and will be returning again next year. Be prepared to climb a steep grade on the road up to the park. The park rangers are always friendly and helpful.
Unfortunately for those of us who enjoy this campground, and it's rolling hills, so has the word "hospitality" seemed to have rolled right away with the recent addition of two new owners. I have never seen two people more unhappy in their current work situation. Nothing is more of a "put off" than to be greeted with a long list of rules and regulations, AND then have to deal with a grumpy, "I don't care if you stay here or not" attitude. This attitude was relayed to us, after we asked some simple questions. It is not always wise to choose a business for which you may be ill suited, which seems to be the case at this campground. Other than that, steer clear of the owners, and enjoy the best views of the Amish country in Lancaster County. Some shaded areas, quiet and clean. Watch out upon check-in for the pay if full, no refunds, no matter what, and signing your rights away on an insignificant waiver. AND DON'T ASK ANY QUESTIONS!
