One of the best parks we have stayed. I would give it a 10 but for the lack of showers, toilets, and pool. You must be self-contained. It is gated and enclosed with a concrete perimeter. Water pressure is high and recommend a regulator. Spacious sites are separated by hedges, are crushed rock, adjacent to a concrete patio. Very quiet, easy access, and close to everything you could want to do in the San Diego area. The young man who manages the park is fantastic and very helpful. About a 15 minute walk to the beach pier. We stayed one month. We will return.
The park is easy access to CA Rt. 99. Good park as a break when traveling but we would not stay here long term as there is nothing remarkable in Bakersfield except the news reports of 25 gang shootings since January 2014. Park is nice, safe and clean. We were told that the season for orange picking is in January so we can't report on the fruit but the park is located in an agricultural area. Lots of birds roosting on the RV and nearby trees. We used this park to visit Death Valley (three hours) and Sequoia Nat. Park (two hours). Train noise is audible in early morning. We stayed here three days. Would stay here again if in the area but would not go out of our way to stay here again.
We stayed here one month. Only 12 sites but concrete slabs and great location on the Texas inter-coastal if you like ocean coastal fishing. They have boat access and docks right next to the premium site we chose. The owners are not on site but have security cameras and can complete all paperwork over the phone. We loved this park and the wildlife refuge minutes away. Galveston is about a half hour up the coast. We will return to this park. Note that during summer fishing season, we think this area may get a bit noisy but it was very quiet in February. Their website is very accurate. Great owners.
Great access off I-10 and generally great access to all points of interest in southeastern Az. Sites are sandy with concrete patios. Super clean laundry and showers. They are cleaned twice a day. Propane available at park but less expensive a mile away in Benson at Bartlett's Propane in Benson. Price was $280 per month with .16 kwh for electric. Though web site says credit cards accepted for fees under $100, we were asked to pay in cash. Manager is great as long as rules are followed. We stayed a month and will return. 20 Minutes to Tombstone, 4o minutes to Tucson, and less than three hours to Phoenix.
