This beach is kind of hard to find, but really pretty. Wouldn't take a big rig in, but saw some 5th wheels there. No charge when we were there, but evidently they sometimes come around to collect for keeping it clean. Would definitely stay there again.
Very small park and somewhat difficult to negotiate with a 30' travel trailer once inside. But, once inside and in the site, it was fine. The manager is American. Nice clean park, but several older permanent RVs use up several of the sites. Recommend calling for reservations, and walking in from the street to see if you can get your rig in OK.
A large dirt park. Very clean, no trash in sight. Manager doesn't speak English and prefers Pesos (190 a night). Wi-fi worked well over by the office in a little covered patio area, but not at the rv sites. Very convenient place to stop for the night..we stayed there both going into and out of Baja.
Very small rv park. Pretty deep sand in some areas. 4x4 came in handy. Small but clean restroom/shower area. The American manager was great, friendly and very helpful. The park is on a bluff overlooking the beach that is about 20 miles long...great location. Would stay there again.
Very nice small park. Very popular with caravans, so call for reservations. Sites are narrow and not very long, so the park is best for smaller rigs. Our 30" trailer just fit. Very convenient to walk to the beach, city center, grocery store, etc. The owner's daughter speaks English and is very helpful. Definitely would recommend this park.
Our favorite park on the entire Baja. Extremely well landscaped and immaculate park. The owners are American and extremely friendly and helpful. Located in town, but quiet. Convenient to walk to the store, restaurants, etc. The park is the most popular in Los Barriles, so you must make reservations if you are visiting between October and April.
Most of the park has been sold off and the balance is on the market. Most sites are semi-permanent for "snow birds"..strongly recommend calling for reservations. Great restaurant! Friendly English speaking management. Very well maintained and landscaped.
Very nice park..owner is American. Very convenient just off the highway a block behind to their restaurant/coffee shop on the highway. As with the other parks we liked, we stayed both going down and coming out of Baja.
Kinda hard to rate..we got into town late and the park was full, so we ended up in the driveway. The rate was cheaper since we didn't really have a space. Very good restaurant. In looking at the park the next AM, it looked very nice, though the sites looked fairly small. Definitely recommend calling for reservations as this is the most popular park in town.
This is a beach. Some 10 or so back in sites along a wall have electric, but almost unlimited space for no hookup sites. Dump station on left as you leave the beach. Would not use the water. Fidel is quite friendly and speaks English. The charge with no electric is $10. The restrooms were under repair, and not clean or usable when we were there.
Very nice RV park/hotel. Hotel has an excellent restaurant and bar, the bartender is great. Very clean and well landscaped. If you need it, they offer a very well done RV wash (by hand) and or truck wash...our truck and trailer was $350 pesos and well worth it. We stayed here twice, going into Baja and coming out. Would definitely stay again.
Camping fees are a donation to support the deaf school. Very pretty with both palm trees and Olive trees. Sites are pretty level, and both pull thru and back in. Very convenient to check out the local wineries. The restrooms did not appear to be in working condition, and hadn't been cleaned in a long time, but for self-contained rigs it is a very nice place to stay. Dump station is a little south of the RV sites.
Small RV park about 45 miles south of Tecate on Hwy 3 going to Ensenada. Great for touring the wine country. The park is owned by a school for the deaf with the park fee (contribution) going to the school. They asked for 100 pesos, but $10 seemed better (130 pesos +/-). Plan on staying there again on the way home.
Our third trip to Chaco over about a 12 year period, but the first with a trailer and spending the night. The road has been paved about 1/2 way, which is good. The unpaved section is still exceedingly rough. The campground is quite clean, and the hosts very friendly and helpful. She helped us find a site long enough for our 29' TT, as the campground was pretty full. Even with the road (top speed in the rough areas about 5 MPH) this is a great camping experience. The biggest drawback is that you cannot reserve a spot and might have to turnaround and drive back if a site is not available, although the host told us she was "saving a spot" for a 40' motor home that had called to check availability.
What a nice campground..pretty, very clean, well laid out and really large back in sites. Very convenient to 1-35, but far enough away that there was no traffic noise. No sewer on site, but a very convenient dump site available. Friendly staff! The rate is the "old people discount" rate. We will definitely use this campground on our next trip to the Dallas/Ft. Worth area.
Small park on the south side of San Antonio very convenient to the I-35, but far enough away that there is no traffic noise at all. Very friendly owners. The rate reflects the Passport America discount available for one night. We liked the park and being close to, but out of San Antonio "in the country". We would definitely stay here again.
Good park..large clean pull through sites and a friendly park manager who returned our call to confirm that there was a site available. Good place to spend the night at a reasonable rate which includes free fast WI-Fi.
Great campground...easy pull through sites available. Restrooms and showers met my wife's approval. Very friendly staff and the campground was quite clean and attractive. We were quite impressed and would definitely stay here again.
Rate reflects the Passbook America discount. The folks in the park, both employees and "winter Texans" were friendly, and the site for the trailer was large and an easy pull thru. Our only complaint about the park was the restrooms and showers. While the sinks and toilets were clean, the floors did not appear to have been cleaned in quite some time. The shower heads almost worked. They were so old, and the shower stall did not appear to have been cleaned in a long, long time. My wife refused to use them. We would not return to this park.
If you don't mind not having utilities. phones, and wireless, this is a great campground..very pretty, lots of trees and very clean. There is a dump station and water available, just not at the individual sites. Wish we could have stayed longer.
Nice clean park. The sites are pull through and long enough not to have to unhook the truck from the trailer. Our site was level. One thing I particularly liked was that the dump site was slightly tilted towards the dump, so the tanks emptied quite quickly and easily. We would definitely stay here again. The rate reflects the Good Sam discount.
This is the 2nd time we have stayed in this park as it is a very convenient stopping place. The park is easy to find, and offers nice big sites. The employees are friendly and glad to see you, and guide you to your site. Which is helpful since both time we have arrived after dark. We would stay here again.
Great park! Very friendly employees with lots of "complimentary wine tasting" certificates for more wineries than we had time to visit in our 4 day stay. The park is very attractive and offers a great location, convenient to everything in Paso Robles. We had a corner site which was huge. Could have put in another TT without crowding anything. The price reflects the Good Sam discount. We would definitely stay here again.
Some of the friendliest people around: both the employees and the guests! Nice park with clean, attractive grounds. My only negative was the roads are kind of narrow for backing in a travel trailer, but with the help of the employee who guided us to the site, we got in without hitting anything. Would stay here again. The rate reflects Passport America discount.
Nice older park. Has large sites with plenty of room between sites. Ours was fairly level. The new owners are planning upgrades like restrooms and showers, which the park does not currently offer. Very friendly new owners, and we would stay at Moon Meadows again.
