This is a state park @ Lake Brownwood. Wide roads, sites are large and spaced out, asphalt and level. There are trees for shade. This state park has two camping areas, one with full hookups not on the water. The other camping ground area is on the water with elec. and water only. No WiFi, no cable for television @ either site. Television reception is poor. All sites are backins. Restrooms are clean and modern. Brownwood lake is large and beautiful, state park has nice lighted fishing pier. The deer are plentiful and it is not unusual to have deer come into your campsite in the evening and night.

This is one of our favorite state parks, and always try to stay here at least one night while in the area. Wide roads, sites are all back ins but very large and secluded from other campers. Lots of trees. River is not @ the campgrounds but within hiking distance. River front has picnic tables and very pretty.

Nice well kept, quite RV Park with wide roads and large sites. This park has only one pull through, the rest of the sites are back ins. Friendly staff, did not escort us to our site. They do have a security fee of $10 which is refundable at time of check out,for bathrooms, however we did not use this service. They do have an indoor pool, but we were told the pool is heated by a heat pump and due to the chilly weather (30's and 40's) the water would not be warm. The door to the pool was locked so could not tell if the pool was clean or not. We stayed here for 4 days over the Thanksgiving holiday due to having family and friends in the area. On Thanksgivng day they had a huge meal for the RV guest. At the time we were there, the park was quite full, could not tell if the residents were full timers and lived there or "Winter Texans" (seasonal). All of the sites were well kept and did not see any junk. Called ahead and made reservations and no problem with the reservation system. Would stay here again.
