OK park for $82/Night -- we vacationed here with our 3 teen-age children. You get into Mt. Olympus for every person/everyday that you stay with Mt. Olympus Camp resort -- which is an awesome park to go to, along with a parking permit to actually park in the parking lot. It has a full hook-up option for campers (which was nice), and partial shade for most campers. We used the restrooms and showers which were nice and clean. There is no pool at this campground (which would have been nice for after you are done having fun at Mt. Olympus), Internet is pretty much nonexistent in the campground (unless you actually go to the hotel check-in). Parking spots for campers are pretty close together - not a lot of space between campers. I think we would stay here again, but know now which spot(s) we would pick if we came back.
First off we would like to say "Thank you" to Stoney Creek Campground for a wonderful experience. They had cement patio's which was a first for us, they had unlimited mini golf and jumping pillow for $12 for your entire stay, the Swimming pool good size, & the internet signal was okay. The only bad thing about this campground is that you had to "pay" for your shower (.25 for 4 minutes)-- not a terribly bad thing but still. We would stay here again.
We recently went on our week long family vacation to this campground. We were originally scheduled to stay at Site#81, but when we got there we didn't realize it was way down in the valley. So we asked the check in person (who was extremely nice) if there were any open sites up on the hill (where the pool area was). He circled a few on the map and after driving around and looking at the open sites, choose site#414 - a nice corner spot. We liked this campground and plan on coming back here next year again -- we would highly recommend it. The only down fall I guess would have to be the Internet. Before we left for vacation I emailed the campground and asked if they had Internet and I got a reply back "yes". When we got settled and got on our computers we realized we had to pay for our internet usage (a little over $17 for the week) not a bad price, but it would have been nice to know before we arrived
We camped here with our 3 children (15, 13, 11). We had somewhat of a level site (wasn't real bad to level). TV reception wasn't all that good (only got 1 major channel along with maybe 6-7 other channels). Restrooms/showers were really nice and clean (although I wish they had them closer to the upper level). Our kids LOVED the pool and slides, we also went tubing which was great, and did some mini-golfing which was fairly cheap ($3.75/game). The staff was REALLY super nice who showed us to our site. We had problems with flies through-out our stay, seems they always seem to be pestering everyone.
We camped here with our 3 children (15, 13, 11), and absolutely LOVED IT! It has very clean restrooms, friendly staff, Wi-Fi and a nice pool. Close to a lot of things (especially Target & Cashwise) if you would need groceries or anything else. We would definitely camp here again in the future.
We thought this campground was very nice. We used the bathrooms and showers and thought those were very clean. The people here were very nice and we were shown where our campsite was. We would recommend this campground to anyone looking for a place to stay.
We stayed at this campground for the 2nd time. We were here in 2008, and were pleased with it, so we returned again. We were a bit disappointed this time, as we were hoping to be close to the bathrooms again. We didn't get a spot so close, but we had good weather so it wasn't so bad. We used the laundry, bathrooms, and showers and thought they were clean. This is a very nice campground located within the City and close to stuff (1/2 hr away from Mt. Rushmore).
We stayed at this park cause we wanted to see the Story Book Land. We really liked this campground. The people there were very nice, and we were right next to the bathrooms, which was nice. We thought the bathroom facilities were very clean. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a campground in this area.
We came to this campground because we had a family reunion in this town. When we first showed up, I went in to the office to register and there was no clerk. Finally after about 10 minutes the clerk showed up (she was next door), once we got registered, we had a good spot almost next to the bathrooms (which I had requested). We had our pull-through site with water and electric (and sewer if we wanted it), but we had no picnic table. It had looked like first come first serve on those. But the bathrooms were very nice and clean, I especially liked the toilet areas (they were nice and big). It was okay for a weekend where we weren't going to spend alot of time at the park (because of the family reunion).
We stayed at this campsite as an overnight stay. We thought this campground was very nice, but thought it would have been nice if the pool had some shade trees around it. There were cotton trees around the park so some of the cotton was flying into the pool, but on a hot day (100 degrees) like what we had, it was okay. We used the laundry room, bathrooms, and showers and thought they were very clean. I would recommend this campground to anyone.
We came to this campground as an overnight stay until we left in the AM for our next destination. We thought the Host/Hostess was VERY nice. We were shown where our campsite was (which is nice), and we did use the bathrooms and showers and thought those were very clean. Also used the laundry room which was nice, we were the only people in there, but everything seemed to be in working order. I would recommend this campground to anyone.
