Here is the most important part of my review: if you want to stay in Estes Park and you have a large fifth wheel or class A, then this is your absolute best choice. Estes Park is so unique and beautiful that we always keep coming back for the beauty and the hiking. The RV park has a pool, hot tub, and miniature golf, and those are maintained well, and the maintenance folks and the office folks are all friendly. We stayed on G row which still has 30 amp power but good sewer and water. Lots of 50 amp sites are available but a majority of those are back in and we try to avoid those. my biggest complaints are that the sites are generally not level, and the RV park could be so much better if the roads were maintained better. Bottom line: wish they would repair the roads, put 50 amp on G row. Then I would rate this a 10. It is an expensive RV park, but really you have no choice if you have a big rig.

Pulling in to the registration area we were met by a professional campground host. He was spectacular in getting us settled in and then he gave us a speech about the area and was a wealth of knowledge for us. We stayed at this RV park 4 nights. It is well maintained and has a great location. Lots to do in the area. Sites are long enough and if you have a fifth wheel everything works better if you pull the trailer through far enough that when you unhook you can park your truck behind your rig. Roads are excellent and they stay on top of the plantings. We really enjoyed the area and did some hiking, great beaches, and the aquarium is excellent. 20 miles to the South and 20 miles to the North is enough to keep you occupied for a week, and we wish had scheduled more time. If it had a pool or decent work out area, I would have to give it a 10. We would absolutely use this park again.

The park itself was fine. We had an unfortunate incident here. We set up our trailer and went to a local store for groceries. Upon returning we noticed that our spare tire was missing. We called the police and they were mostly not at all interested. In fact, the police said that if we didn't have a video of the crime being committed, they couldn't do anything about it. Since the RV park has a number of live in residents, I asked the cop if perhaps he could even casually just look around, since the spare and wheel were brand new as was the fifth wheel. Nope. The park is fine. Showers and restrooms are clean. Easy access and easy for a big rig to use. We used a pull through, 50 amp site. Worked fine. We wouldn't ever use this park again simply because it felt unsafe after our spare was stolen. We had been gone from the trailer for thirty minutes so we felt like it was most likely someone living here full time. One lesson learned was to put a cable and lock on the spare tire. Since it was mounted on the belly, I thought it would be hard to steal. Actually it makes it easier to steal.

This could be a really great park, but right off the bat we had a problem. We had made the reservation months in advance and had a confirmation e-mail from the park for a pull through with 50 amp. Upon check-in we were told that only a 30 amp pull through would be available to us. We showed our confirmation letter and were told that it didn't matter since they didn't have that in their notes and that was what counted. After a few minutes of discussion we walked the park to see what spot they wanted us to use. It was A-15 which is possibly the worst spot they had. We were able to negotiate to spot A-17 which had some privacy. At any rate, the employee checking us in had a bad attitude and since we were staying here for a week it gave us a bad feeling about the place. To our amazement while we were setting up two couples stopped by and asked if we got the type of site we had reserved. Turns out they had been through the same routine. Within a day we met 5 couples who had the same problem. In fairness after our week here we left a survey form for them, and the owner called us within hours and was very gracious and said she didn't know they were having this problem. Turns out we were lucky to get a pull through site. One couple that expected a pull through and were new to trailering were assigned a tight little back-in. As to the park itself, the pool is excellent and the 8-9AM for adults only worked well for us. They also have a small workout area which is good, except later in the day when kids in wet swimming suits take that over, and make a mess of it. Later in the day the kids take the pool and hot tub over. The location is excellent and the Cape Kiwanda area was really beautiful. For a restaurant the Pelican Pub was outstanding and their gourmet pizza was great. Bottom line for us: had a great time but would not use this RV park again since they don't honor your reservation. For us that is a deal breaker.

This was simply a park we used for an overnight stay. Outstanding park and employees! From check in and being led to our site by the follow me, we were very impressed. The park is like a miniature little neighborhood with concrete pads and grass. Street light poles are decorative and add to the atmosphere. Everything works great. A level concrete pad that was 80 feet long was a new one for us. Very wide streets. Easy to find off the freeway. The bathrooms were spotless and the showers excellent and private. We used the 50 amp service, checked out their cable even though we used satellite. The check in sheet even shows what their water pressure is: 65lbs. I have a water pressure gage and thought I would just see if they were correct. Exactly 65lbs. They seem to have thought of everything. We remarked that we wish we knew something that would draw us to Mountain Home because we would use this RV park in a heartbeat. If I could come up with a negative it is that if you need a swimming pool they don't have one. For us this was a perfect park.
