This is the nicest park we have stayed in. It was about 85-90% full when we were here. The restroom and laundry building is in a central location; the restrooms are new and well designed and kept immaculately clean. The machines in the laundry were fairly new and all were working. We met the work-camper staff who were all friendly and helpful. The park is well laid out, located at the north end of town on SR118. There are long-term spots for weekly or monthly rates but there don't seem to be any "permanent" residents. The park is very clean and well maintained.
Compared with other states, New Mexico State Parks have great rates for the service they provide. I don't know how they do it, but I'm not sure if it will last since every other state seems to be raising their rates. The campground loop with hookups is spacious and well maintained. Restrooms could use more hooks for hanging clothes and shower curtains(they are private stalls but no curtains on the shower stalls). Wi-Fi works reasonably well.
This is a nice campground but the BLM has posted a large sign at the entrance that describes how due to budget constraints they have reduced services. The main effect is there IS NO WATER. This is a big issue as it is one site where the BLM website states they have water. There is no WIFI as other reviewers have stated, no firewood and there was no staff onsite.
