This park was pretty good. The roadways were a little tight and the sites were kind of close. There was a lot of permanent sites here but it wasn't overrun by them. The bathhouse and the laundry room was pretty clean. Price reflects Passport America.
This was a really nice campground. The office has really late hours (11 pm), which was fantastic for me because I came in at 9 pm. You can pick from many different types of sites. We picked one without sewer but it had a pull-through concrete pad. The property was very clean and well maintained. The grass was being worked on everyday. I don't have kids but this would be a great place for them. They had many planned events and plenty of things for kids to do. There was a fenced dog park, which I loved. The maintenance crew was great. We had a problem with our electric and they were right over to help us. The store in the office sells about everything including beer. The bathhouse that I used was clean. A word of advice though, there are several sites that are just grass. It was raining quite a bit when we went so some of those sites had standing water. Use caution when picking one of those sites. Besides that, I would still highly recommended this campground.
This was a nice campground. The site we stayed in had a nice brick pad for the camper. The site was level and maintained. The office was beautiful and gave a really good impression. The bathhouse was very clean. The roads were a little tight and it was harder to get into the site. There appears that there are a lot of permanent campers there but they kept their sites orderly and clean. Plus, most of the campers had very nice rigs. I would definitely stay here again. I really liked this park and would definitely come again. The sites were gravel but roomy. They did slope downward to help with run off but it was harder to level. The bathrooms were very nice. The showers were large and clean. There was a ton of things to do at the park including a a glass bottom boat ride. If you have bad cat allergies, be careful. There are feral cats everywhere and people have fed them so they come up to the sites.
I liked this park mostly for its location. It had Gulf water front property. The water was very calm and warm. I didn't technically use the bathhouse but only because it freaked me out. The doors were propped open with a cinder block so you could walk up and look in. The lack of any privacy made me nervous. There was also a ton of sand fleas, plenty at the sites but even more in the fenced pet area. The sites weren't concrete but the ground was generally even. Price reflects Passport America.
This was a pretty nice campground. Our site had a concrete pad. The only complaint I have about our site was that it literally backed up to the side of someones camper, instead of the back. It was just a weird site though. Other than that, it was well maintained and the lake was beautiful. The dog walk was fun to take my pups on. We only camped there for one day but would stay again.
This campsite was fairly nice. The bathhouse was moderately clean. It wasn't so bad that I wouldn't go in, but not clean enough for my standards. My biggest complaint about the bathhouse was that you have to push a button for the water to come on. The button only gives you literally 3 seconds of water. It got old real fast. The campsites don't have water or sewer hookups. The sites had concrete pads with lots of open space to each site. The campground was off the beaten path so it was really quiet at night and very relaxing. It is also very close to the beaches. The price reflects a disability discount.
I am surprised by the decent recent reviews about this campground. This is my least favorite campground I have ever stayed at. There was no one to help us when we arrived; finally after calling enough times, someone came. We were taken to a site in the back. The site was unlevel and completely over run by ants. I don't say this lightly; I have never encountered so many ants. We all got tons of ant bites that are still healing after almost a month. We also got ants in the camper after only one night there. The place is full of permanent sites and not very well maintained. I couldn't find a bathhouse, so I'm assuming there isn't one on the property. The building with the laundry room was leaking out an absolutely horrible strong smell. I wasn't brave enough to go in. Price reflects Passport America.
This was a great park. I was very nervous about coming here because of the previous reviews about the airplanes and road noise. I couldn't hear the road noise from inside the camper at all, and only sometimes did I even notice the airplanes. They weren't bothersome at all. They had free cable and free WiFi. I got wonderful WiFi service, even in the back of the park. I was able to do several downloads that I had been wanting to do. As far as I understood, all the sites are pull through and have concrete pads. They have a few stations with dog potty bags and trash cans. Pecan Park does a good job of keeping everything maintained and clean. I didn't try the bath house. The price reflects Passport America.
