Very nice park and as others have said, the new owners are very friendly and accommodating. This park is mostly full timers but had many short term sites available. No cable TV and very poor TV reception. Not a big deal but worth noting. WI-FI (free) available near the registration office. Roads were pretty wide and easy to navigate. I think there was only one bath house and that was just so-so. I think it is on the schedule for updating. Lots of activities on the weekends, nothing during the week. There was also a small camp store open during the day.
This is an OK campground that needs some TLC. We were here late in the season, and the place was pretty empty. The staff was very friendly; the sites were nicely wooded and level. The roads were in good shape. The restrooms need some updating. They are pretty old and small. I imagine that during a busy weekend they could get overrun. Some sites have cable TV, Wi-Fi is available for an extra charge. My biggest problem is when we were leaving. The septic backed up. Because it was the end of the season and we were leaving, there wasn't much they could do for us so we had to use the dump station. Not a huge pain, but it still was a pain.
This park has gone thru some significant updates/remodeling recently. The club house is brand new and very, very nice. The pool and hot tub have been renovated. The bathrooms were very nice with private shower areas that were some of the cleanest I've ever seen. Yes there were a lot of seasonal sites but the people were very friendly. The camp store was well stocked and the prices were reasonable. The marina was across the street, and offered a nice boat launch with reasonable dock and rental boat rates.
Really nice campground. Our site backed directly on the river with a wonderful view. Millersburg Ferryboats leave directly from the campground and take you across the river to Millersburg PA. Bathhouses are clean, cable TV works well. Rec hall and camp store are well stocked.
Overall, we liked this campground. Our site was rather tight and had a tough time moving our truck off the camp road so others could pass. Not sure if it was just our site but all the connections, sewer, cable, water, electric were at the very front of the site and had to use extensions for everything. WiFi is only advertised to work at the front office but worked well there. The restrooms were some of the cleanest we've seen. Owners seem to go out of the way to make your stay nice. We were there a little off season so there weren't any activities. Pretty convenient to the area and easy to get to.
Our site was a little tight but not too bad. Some of the sites back against an older junk yard that is being cleaned up. The facilities were some of the cleanest we've ever come across. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. All the area attractions you would want to see are just a short drive away. Staying here also includes a free 2 hour tour of the area. Also WiFi worked very well. We are definitely coming back here!
We made last minute reservations here and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They also offered us multiple discount coupons for the area attractions. Our spot was a little tight but not too bad. WiFi and cable TV worked great. Pool and camp store was well taken care of. Bathrooms were a bit older and could use some updates but not too bad. Many seasonal campers but they were friendly and the campground was quiet. Other comments about making reservations/payments on-line not being "secure" is questionable.
Nice campground. It can get a bit crowded and noisy on weekends. Staff is very nice and the facilities are well kept. Boat ramp is good and most folk don't take up too much time in getting into or out of the water.
This RV park has one thing going for it; the closeness of the amusement park. It makes it easy to stop by the camper to get a snack or take a break. Otherwise there isn't much to see here. Weekends are very crowded and it can get noisy. I typically stay here mid week or before the summer season gets into full swing.
Really nice campground directly on the lake. Camp store was pretty well stocked and the staff were very helpful in local attractions. The facilities were very clean and well maintained. Trash pickup was daily directly from your site.
This park has seen better days! I understand it is for sale and I guess they just don't want to put any money into it. It is tough to just read about a park and determine "should we go?". We did that and were pretty disappointed. The electric stopped working and they showed ME how to reset the large breakers to turn it back on. The activity center was just a large storage shed with old golf carts and an old limo sitting outside! The mini golf was dangerous with rotted boards everywhere. When my family saw it, they couldn't stop laughing since it was so bad. Again old boats and cars were stored on the golf course! The boat dock. The ramp across the street was so steep we couldn't use it. PLUS they charged extra to use the docks that were just empty. Why were they empty, 'cause they were falling apart. We kept our boat at the State Park a few miles away. The area is beautiful and we will never forget this campground because it still brings back laughs.
