Sites too small for us but the half circle areas would be ideal for small group campers. State park had larger sites. Could hear the ocean from our site. Industrial noise in the AM next door. All in all it was OK.
Only choice in the area to camp and fairly isolated. Stayed one night and went to Hearst Castle next morning. Nice campground but no hookups. Other campers ran their generators beyond the allowed hours so it was pretty noisy. We felt bad for the tent campers.
Nice park and great scenery. Rate was for non-hookup site. Good cafe to eat at across the street, other choices for food in town but too far to walk to. Also a nature center, mostly geared to children, is close by.
Very nice campground. Restrooms looked near new. Fun walk to the beach, beautiful area. As we were setting up the ranger was taking a report from the guy next to us who had his cooler stolen at night and told us that these thefts are happening a lot along the CA coast. State campground fees are pretty high.
