I wouldn't call this a resort. Sites were crowded and not very level. Bath and showers were clean, but they need more of them. In a very nice area with plenty of facilities available (food, shopping, fuel). Everything is wooded, so there is plenty of shade.
Nice level pull thru. Friendly helpful staff. Bus stop right across the street to take into downtown San Antone where parking would be at a premium if you had to take a truck. Just down the road to Mission San Jose which is a Nat. Park site. Bath and showers are nice, but they need more of them. Not sure if it really deserves a resort rating.
They may have 140 sites, but only about 10 are available. The rest are oil field workers. We were forced to pay the 50 amp price when we only needed 30 amps. Fairly noisy at 5:30 in the morning with all the diesel trucks leaving for work. Don't bother staying here. There is a very nice CG right by the entrance to Carlsbad Caverns.
Really nice campground. Nice level pull thru. Only warning I would have is for people with pets and small children. There are "wild" animals that roam through the campground. We had 3 bull elk with huge racks just mosey thru, eating grass and leaves right next to our campers. It's nice for close up photos, but remember, they are wild not tame animals.
Wonderful place, friendly staff. Right outside the gate to Zion and within driving distance of Bryce and St. George, UT with all of its things to do. Had a problem with a toilet plugged, but reported it and it was fixed in an hour. With temps in the high 90's the pool was great!
Can't beat this place. Have used it twice this year for over night stops. Easy in and out. Friendly helpful staff. Water, power, bath facilities were good as usual. What can I say, it's a great place to visit, also.
I liked not having to make reservations, but don't get there too late. Had a very nice site in the woods (T-36). Pull-throughs across from us were very uneven from front to back. Dump station nice and level. Liked the free bus service into Acadia N.P.
Large back-in site well below the office. Wi-Fi only worked up by the office. Very friendly and helpful staff. NYC tour was great from the campground. Glad we didn't have take the train into city. Close to tour Hudson River mansions and West Point. Complained about barking dog which they knew about, but they did nothing about it. Another KOA with water and electric at front of site. Wine tasting next to the office. Everything you could want in camp store.
Nice level pull-through. Checked in at the hotel. Level dump station behind hotel. No shade, but we were only there one night and that's what canopies are for. Free shuttle to the casino, so you can lose your money.
Another KOA with water and electric at the front and sewer at the back of the pull-through site. Don't these campgrounds know where hook ups are on campers. Bathroom smelled and cobwebs and dirt in the showers. Easy access off interstate. Doesn't deserve a $45 price.
Wasn't impressed with my pull-through site. What is it with KOA to have water and electric at the front of the site and sewer at the back. This isn't the first KOA that I've run into this. Was told by a seasonal that the sites by the river flood in the spring. Doesn't deserve a $50 price. Almost a one way road in and out of the place, I would have hated to meet someone.
Beautiful campground. Pull throughs among tall pines with nice stone fire pits. Baths and showers nearby, but quite a walk up hill to lodge. Very friendly people. Nearby to everything for sight seeing. Wi-Fi only worked up at lodge.
New owners doing a lot of work to update and add more sites. New bath and shower building. Camping World nearby. As it is now, a lot of the sites are not accessible. Place is bigger than it looks and there are a lot of seasonals. Close to New Hampshire Speedway and Franconia Notch.
They were in the process of closing for the season. Took our money and then were thinking of shutting off the water in baths. Site was adequate. Managers attitude wasn't very friendly. Dump station is very poor set up. Was not impressed for something called a resort.
Large campground with lots of seasonals. We were here only here one night. It is easy on/off of the interstate. Walked around and was impressed with how clean all the seasonal sites were. Didn't use the showers, but everything looked nice and clean. Had Good Sam discount, but well worth the price.
