Our nightly rate was based on a seven month stay. This is a wonderful campground about 8 miles north of Crystal River. Extremely well kept up. The laundry room is large enough and kept very clean and the cost is very reasonable. The sites are individually owned, so you rent from the owner, not the management. But, every interaction we had with the main office was pleasant and helpful. Most sites have a concrete pad and all have a concrete patio and picnic table. There are many activities available throughout the winter. Some of the people come here every year and some, like us, are just here for one time, but all are very friendly and helpful. There is a canal that goes out to the gulf coast within walking distance and a paved path along it for walking or biking. The sites are well kept up and not too close together. We're in a 40 foot RV and had room for our rig, truck, and a car at our site. We would definitely use this campground again if we wanted to be in this location.
This campground was lovely, quiet and serene. It is about 4 1/2 miles off I-77, but is easy off and on. Most of the 4 1/2 miles is a narrow, winding road, however we navigated it with a dually pulling a 40 ft fifth wheel with no problem. It was well worth it! We called ahead and reserved a pull through with full hookups. We were well pleased with the site and with the friendly reception. The campground has a beautiful lake with fountains and picturesque views. We would stop there again.
Nightly rate is based on monthly rate, which does not include electric. We were there for close to 3 months. This was a terrific park! As other reviewers have stated, all roads are paved and all sites have paved parking pads. Every site has a picnic table. Each also had an exterior light at the electric box. Some sites are shaded and some aren't. The location, just across the road from Crooked River State Park, was perfect for walking/hiking and bicycle riding. Every Sunday at 5:00 the owners hosted a potluck, providing the meat. It was great for meeting and getting to know others in the park. The owners were helpful and friendly. The laundry machines were large and reasonably priced. We very much enjoyed staying here and would stay there again if we were going to be in the area again.
This was an excellent spot for a short stay. We were met as we arrived and shown to a close pull-through site. The person who met us was friendly and helpful. The roads are paved and our site was grass. There is road noise from a major intersection near the park and vehicles entering and leaving the park. The location is convenient for shopping, restaurants, etc. We will stay here again when in the area.
The rate given is based on the monthly rate for a 50 amp RV. All the sites have 20/30/50 amp hookups. We actually stayed there for about 5 months and left to go south the middle of February. This is an excellent place to stay. It is quiet. No road noise. Plenty of shade. Gravel roads and sites. No restrooms or showers. We enjoyed seeing wildlife such as deer, turkeys, fox, etc. Convenient to shopping, hospitals, etc. Other people are very friendly. The owner keeps it very nice. He's also extremely helpful and knowledgeable. While it is called Spring Hill Mobile Home Park, it has only a few mobile homes among nearly 60 sites. The rest are all RV's. Propane is available on site for the best price we've found anywhere. It's the nicest park in central NC and we would stay there again when in the area.
